DM Caleth wrote:

Here is a fully explored map of the tomb you are in. Map

Post if you are still here and interested in continuing.

I'm still in...

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Of course I am still interested. This is a very cool concept and campaign so far and I want to discover where it goes from here.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

DM Caleth: are there any other things of interest in the tomb? I am wondering about the dark square at the bottom of the right side. does there appear to be any exits to the tomb in order to pass through the other side?

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Still enjoying things. It looks like there is a pit downwards in the southeast area.

The narrow hallway beyond the western door of the main hall contains alcoves each with one or two sets of human remains in them. The passage ends in a pit where it appears that the builders of this tomb accidentally ran into a pre-existing tunnel.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Do we go down?

Tama carefully examins the pre-existing tunnel for tracks and listens intently...

Perception1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

In a broken pidgin he enquires "Comrades, do we investigate these new workings, or is there another way to safety?"

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

So the pit appears to be the only exit?

Oh, and still here and still interested.

The pit does appear to be the only exit farther into the necropolis. If you peek though with a light, you can see a low ceilinged 20' wide hallway below. The roof has caved in in one direction, blocking travel that way.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon looks down the pit after dropping a lit bone down then turns to Samaerew. "Diğer tarafta güneş bize yakın daha aşağı tam olarak nasıl gidiyor yok?Ama bir yere kadar gelmek zorunda sanırım.O ilk inmek ve orada ne olduğunu bildirin, böylece Batu karanlıkta görebilirsiniz."

Sharrim:
How exactly does going further down get us closer to the sun on the other side? But I guess it has to come up somewhere. Batu can see in the dark so he can go down first and let us know what is down there.

My assumption is that we have some rope within the party, basic supplies taken from the nomad camp.
Timmon asks the others to hold on to the rope while Batu climbs down. (Take 10 climb check). Batu has 60'darkvision as well as there being a piece of bone with light on it being down there and he reports back up to Timmon in Terran with anything dangerous or unusual. If nothing of immediate threat, Timmon will climb down after.
Batu Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Party Treasure:

I am not sure if anything was actually decided on for the gear from the undead fight. The following was found:
Bronze Chain Shirt - Lylindra or Tama?
Studded Leather - Lylindra or Tama?
Composite Shortbow (+1 Str) - Claimed by Tama. (Not sure if there were arrows)
Scorpion Whip (UC) - Not claimed.
Bronze Khopesh (APG; in this world a martial weapon) - Samaerew should take this as an alternate weapon to his trident unless someone else want to claim it.
Please claim what you want and the rest will be considered just carried.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

I'd like the studded leather or chain shirt. Whichever Lylindra doesn't want

Tama looks into the pit and drops in after Batu and Timmon.

In the new hall:

The hallway below is 20' wide and about 8' tall. Behind you, the passage is blocked by a cave-in, and just in front of you, it turns south. The walls have no frescoes and are bare rock, unlike the walls of the tomb above.

Map to Come

Perception DC 15:

There is a path worn into the floor by generations of feet passing though. This passageway was apparently once heavily used.

I think that Lylindra took the studded leather, but if she has disappeared you guys can redistribute her gear among yourselves.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

Timmon Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
While Timmon waits for the others to come down the pit he makes sure that his staff is shining brightly and then picks up the piece of bone he has illuminated and tosses it around the corner peering around carefully to see what is there.
"Deze passage lijkt te zijn geweest treden op mijn ontelbare voeten, vraag ik me af wat het was gebruikt voor zoveel jaar eerder. Hopelijk is het een pad dat leidt ons naar de zon weer. Krijg je een goed gevoel over ziener?"

Camthi:
This passage seems to have been tread upon my countless feet, I wonder what it was used for so many years before. Hopefully it is a path that will lead us out to the sun once again. Do you get a good feeling about it seer?

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Byarsh frowns before answering. "Een passage die vele voeten heeft gezien gedurende vele jaren spreekt over een pad lopen de moeite waard."

Camthi:
"A passage that has seen many feet over many years speaks of a path worth walking."

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Perception 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16

Biz sırt altında geçiyor. Biz gitmek veya biraz aşağı, hiç fark etmez olsun; bu pasajın diğer tarafta çıkacağını biliyoruz.

Sarrim:
We are passing under the ridge. Whether we go up or down slightly makes no difference; I know that this passage will emerge on the other side.

Map

Around the corner, you can see an alcove and a doorway. In the alcove a magical torch still burns fitfully, its enchantment nearly depleted. In front of the doorway, there is a piece of a tablet which appears to have been pried out of the floor or wall.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Where is the though which we came / will be coming?

Dropping down from above, you would land in the square where Tama is now.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama moves forward to investigate the tablet. He moves with bow in hand and arrow on the string.

Kijk, zijn deze artefacten van de eerste mensen?

Camthi and Djet:
Look, are these artifacts of the first men?

Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Knowledge History 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Lower Hall:
As Tama rounds the corner, before he gets to the tablet on the floor, a small blur of a figure launches itself from the alcove and wraps tentacle-like arms around Tama's throat with an unearthly shriek. Tama, you are grappled and cannot speak or cast spells with verbal components. Knowledge(Dungeoneering) would give you some information on your foe.
Map

Upper Tomb:
You hear an unearthly shriek and a clattering of rocks issuing up through the hole from the hallway below. As a note, you can either drop 10' as a free action into the lower hallway and risk damage and landing prone or take a move action to go down the rope as long as you are not the person holding the rope.

Roll Initiative, please.

Looks like I'm the initiative leader and I'm going out for the afternoon, so...

Tama lurches back in surprise clawing wildly at his throat.

He attempts to turn the grapple back on his adversary...

...and fails the creature ignores his wild flailing and muffled shrieks.

Combat Stats:

HP 14

Tama will continue to make grapple checks to overpower his opponent until there is a new development or he passes out.

DM

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Byarsh scrambles down the rope and rushes over to see what is causing the trouble. Climb as a move action followed by a move to D7. Squinting at the twisted creature with building revulsion, he shouts "Blijf sterk! Ik zal proberen om het ontslaat u!"

Camthi:
"Stay strong! I shall try to make it release you!"

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

do grappled creatures share the same square or are they side by side?

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

"Tama, hangen, ik ga proberen en gratis je."

Camthi:
Tama, hang on, I am going to try and free you.

Timmon moves closer to Tama uttering "Adhibete monstrum" as Batu moves around Tama and strikes at the creature.
Batu move to G5 (will provoke if somehow this creature can threaten from grapple).
Timmon moves to F6 and summons a celestial dog to E4 (as long as there is room to do so as the square is not clear at this point, if not to F4).
Batu Slam Attack(Flank): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Celestial Dog Bite(Flank): 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 = 19, Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 (+1 if target is evil).

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Samaerew leaps down the hole at the sound of the shriek, risking the damage. He quickly sizes up the situation, strides to E5, and strikes at the beast.

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

He calls out in his most inspiring voice Ilk erkek ruhları ki, kendi gibi iddia bu iğrenç yaratıklardan dinlenme noktası temizlemek! Onlar bize gösterilen konukseverlik ve yardım için bize bunları ödemek!

Sharrim:
The Spirits of the First Men would that we cleanse their resting spot of these foul creatures that have claimed it as their own! Let us repay them for the hospitality and aid they have shown us!

Grappling creatures which are larger than Tiny are adjacent to their targets, so this creature is adjacent to Tama

Samaerew, you take 3 nonlethal damage from jumping

Timmon directs Batu and his summoned creature to attack the monster which has a stranglehold on Tama. Batu does not connect, but the dog bites the creature deeply in its side.

The creature continues shrieking in what may or may not be a language and tightens its grip around Tama's throat to an almost bone-crunching vise. 6 damage

From the shadows near the summoned dog, you hear another of the creatures start shouting and you can see it enter meele with the dog. the dog is now grappled and takes 2 damage

Perception DC 20:

This newcoming creature is either ill or wounded, judging from its emaciated frame and slightly slower and less forceful movements.

DM Rolls:

Fall damage:1d6 ⇒ 3
Grapple:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Constrict Damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Grapple 2:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Constrict Damage:1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Since Lylindra has disappeared, you should decide who wants the Dwarven dagger from before since it is actually quite valuable.

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama claws at his throat, and the creature trying to crush it...

CMB vs Creatures CMD 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

DM are you in china? If so what is your time difference from the west coast?

I am in China. I am 12 hours ahead of the East Coast, which puts me 15 hours ahead of the West Coast. For reference it is 2:13pm on Tuesday for me right now.

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Stepping to his left (E8) to get a better view, Byarsh opens his mouth to unleash a silent scream that assaults the bizarre attacker.

Ear-Piercing Scream: Fortitude DC 16 to avoid being dazed for one round and to halve the sonic damage. 1d6 ⇒ 1

Being dazed should deny the creature the chance to maintain its grapple next turn.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

The celestial dog snarls and tries ineffectively to escape the grapple.
Dog CMB to escape grapple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Batu attempts to crush the creature holding on to Tama but by trying to not hit Tama his slams strike nothing but air.
Batu 1st Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Batu 2nd Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8, Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

If Byarsh's dazing attack doesn't work then take the following action.
Timmon utters "Arvina" and points to Tama.
Cast Grease on Tama's armor granting him +10 to escape artist/CMB to escape grapples/CMD to avoid grapples.
If Byarsh's stunning attack does work and it looks like Tama will escape with ease then Timmon will delay his action.

Well it looks like my awesome combat dice are back! 2 nat 1's already!

The creature lets go of Tama as it reels and covers its ears in vain to block out Byarsh's magical shout.

The other creature continues to strangle the summoned dog. 5 damage

DM Rolls:

Fort:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Grapple:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Damage:1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

I think that Samaerew still has an action before the creatures turn. It won't change the turn for you Caleth but it might kill the dazed one if he can hit.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

GM, can we get an updated map? My spatial skills are insufficient to keep up with all the people moving around, summoning, and whatnot.\

Perception 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 10

Map

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Just a reprint of initiative:

Tama
Byarsh
Samaerew
Timmon
DM

We are presently on Samaerew (partially skipped) before jumping back into the original initiative order with Tama.

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Samaerew attacks the creature in front of him.

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama takes a move action back from the creature while drawing a sword (I assume he dropped his bow to claw at his attacker).

Choking out a couple of unrecognizable words, he spits, regains control of his voice and begins orating..."I remember the last time I saved the day it began much like this, an ambush by strange octopi, at a bar, under the sea?". Clearly his brain is still starved of oxygen...

He begins orating as a standard action to inspire courage in his allies.

As the monster reels away from Tama, Samaerew plants his trident squarely in its chest driving it to the ground where it lies still.

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Using the bit of light to his advantage, Byarsh meets the eyes of the weaker second creature. Their psyches clash momentarily, but the twisted troglodyte is forced to give ground and reconsider its assault.

Evil Eye against AC after moving me as much closer as I need to get line of sight. The Will DC is 16.

Male Human Summoner (Master Summoner) 2

My turn after Samaerew goes: I assume that he will be moving to F4 in order to assault the remaining creature. So if the critter still stands after his vicious assault the following happens:
The pooch though horribly wounded continues to struggle against the creature grappling it.
Dog Grapple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Batu seeing the dog still being held, moves up and swings his stoney fist at the creature.
Move to F3. Batu Slam Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 1 = 15, Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8

Vitals:

Celestial Dog: HP:1/8, AC:13 (11 Grappled)
Batu: HP:11/14, AC:15
Timmon: HP:19/20, AC:13

Male Human Paladin of Freedom 2

Samaerew steps over the fallen creature and strikes at it's companion.

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Geri, atalarının kutsal dinlenme yeri işgal ve kirletip faul canavar.

Sharrim:
Back, foul beast, who has invaded and profaned the sacred resting place of my ancestors.

The remaining creature does not seem to notice that its companion has been killed, instead continuing to throttle the summoned dog until it vanishes in a splatter of magical pinkish material. The creature seems surprised by this and appears to notice you blocking off its escape route for the first time. It fights off Byarsh's magical assault and even in its weakened state can dodge Samaerew's and Batu's strikes although only barely. It melts back into the shadows of the alcove and you cannot make out its position in the darkness.

Map

Perception DC 29 or Darkvision:

The creature is trapped in its alcove and has no where to go, you can see it flattening itself against the wall in square E4 out of the light.

DM Rolls:

Gapple:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Damage:1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Will:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Stealth:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

New Round:

Tama
Byarsh
Samaerew
Timmon
DM

Male Human (from the northern jungles) Bard 1

Tama maintains his oratory, and moves forward to flank the alcove (E3). and looks for the creature.

Perception1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

He stares blankly into the darkness.

Male Tiefling (formerly human) Witch (Dimensional Witch) 7

Stepping to his left (5' to G4), Byarsh easily spots the creature as it tries to hide in the gloomy recess. Pointing straight at it, he calls out "Orada! Bu karanlığın içinde gizler! Işık getir!"

Sharrim:
"There! It hides in the darkness! Bring light!"

With that, he taps Samaerew's shoulder. The detritus stirs around the man's feet, and a motes of dust trace the path of a ward that spirals upwards to envelop the warrior. "Ataları üzerinden izlemek."

Sharrim:
"The ancestors watch over you"

Samaerew now has a Ward, which grants him a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus to saves until he fails a save or is hit by an attack.

Tama, just so you know, E3 is only a small alcove. As a medium sized creature you would be squeezing if you were in that square.
