Sashah |

Sashah squeezes past the group to the front, placing a hand on Ravvek's shoulder as he passes. Sashah looks a bit excited,

Greycastle |

”The story of Durgeddin means no thing to we. His history is one of failure.” Steady boot steps can be heard from behind the pillars, but Ravvek’s light reveals nothing. ”Maybe you make it worth for me, and then we need no fight. ”

Ravvek the Avenger |

You mean pay you off? Ravvek looks to the others, What do you think? An avoided fight will save some headaches, and if she turns on us... well, I guess we will get our payment back.
Rav's smirk tells you that he is only half joking...

Scramsax |

Scram isn't interested, whispering "Ah, f@+~ them. The treasure's ours!"
Ready action, throw dagger in face at first sign of combat

Ravvek the Avenger |

Rav looks at his halfling companion, Well, at least he's honest... mostly... I think.
Sorry lady, if you are not Durgeddin, then you have about as much claim over this place as we do. We can do this the easy way, or the hard way, but someone will lose and it won't likely be us.
Charisma (Deception) to sound super confident!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Uriah Lewis |

AHEM!
Uriah coughs loudly and gives a scowl to Scramsax and Ravvek
M'lady. Please disregard these most...incourteous...ruffians. I don't know why I allow them to travel with me, the halfling does cook am mean rat...but I digress. As I was saying, please forgive our intrusion into your realm. We are but *peaceful* historians here to document and find answers to the question. Uriah gives a elaborate bow
Oh, yes. The question of what happened to Durgeddin. So far we've established that it was nothing good. Surely we can come to some arrangement?
Persuasion is for BARDS!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Raiden Bartok |

Raiden regards each person in that interaction, raising his eyebrow at Uriah's diplomatic effort with a small smirk on his face. He's sure we got this, the question now is how.

Greycastle |

”An agreement can be reached, but we know the hold well. We know you could no have been “peacefull” and still be in these halls.” The boot falls continue around the shadows of the hall. Despite Ravvek moving the light around, nothing can be seen. ”We can show you what happened to Durgeddin. We can show you the darkness that lies at the bottom of these caves. We can tell you much of this place. The blade forge though stays ours. You may not trespass beyond here.”

Scramsax |

"Who are you? And why does your voice sound like 20 pairs of boots stepping on stone, are you some kind of ventriloquist?" he snarks.

Myastan Zayless |

Zayless rolls his eye at the exchange he whispers to the others, "Fate as in how Durgeddin met his. This exchange isn't voing holesome."

Ravvek the Avenger |

Watching Sashah head NW, Ravvek shrugs and follows the old wizard, I guess we go this way...

Uriah Lewis |

GM, would we have an idea of what kind of creature might be naturally invisible (or can get that way) and be likely to be inside a Dwarven ruin (I the player have an idea, but would any of the characters?)
Uriah smiles Well, right then. You guys stay here, we'll go do our investigation. It helps if we could get a look at you, get your names. You know our names...oh wait... Let's do some introductions.
Uriah bows and says I'm Uriah Lewis, Songsmith Extraordinaire
he points around at the others That rascal is Scramsax, he's mouthy. That smart fellow is Sashah, the stoic is Anton, this is Raiden, this is Ravvek, good luck telling them apart, h and finally the handsome scaley one is Myastan.
Now, your turn

Scramsax |

GM, if we pass within arm's reach of the speaker at some point Im going to look her over for kewl stuff to pickpocket.

Greycastle |

@Uriah, give me a knowledge nature roll.
@Scram, you do not pass by anyone that you are aware of.
”I am called Ghared.“ the voice responds. She does not seem ready to reveal herself however.
The door you come to stands unlocked with Orcish writing scrawled over the doorway.

Sashah |

"Hmm.." Sashah mumbles as he inspects the scrawling on the doorway. He then moves his backpack from his shoulder and begins preparing for what looks like another ritual. This is one you have not seen him do before.
10 min ritual to cast Comprehend Languages
After the ritual he quickly packs everything away except several parchments and inspects the scrawling once more, reading the translation out loud at least once, all the while taking notes. "Tell me Ghared, vat is bound down here? Or, vat vas bound?"

Uriah Lewis |

Knowledge is for BARDS too!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Raiden Bartok |

Raiden had been hanging out near the door, but when Sashah reveals what the writing says he backs up a few steps. Hoping this Ghared is more helpful than she has been thus far, but still pretty convinced this is all a trap.

Greycastle |

Uriah’s guess of Duergar is confirmed a grey skinned dwarf comes from around a distant pillar. The same boot steps can be herd as the female dwarf approaches. Looking at uriah, she nods her head and turns to answer Sashah’s question. ”Behind that door, Orcish ghost of some kind. The message on door speaks of Maker of Death. We think that means Durgeddin. All of these halls haunted, that one is different though. “
You all notice that the din of hammer on metal has stopped.

Scramsax |

From a shadowy corner you hear Scram click his tongue "*tch.* C'mon, get serious. Ghosts? There's no such thing as ghosts. You probably just have a tundra rat infestation...their sneaky chittering can be unsettling in the night. Let's go get breakfast guys..." scraping his swords together like a chef.

Sashah |

Sashah looks thoughtful and mumbles to himself, "Hmm..Dugeddin..Maker of Death...Hmmm..." He then says to the group, "I vould like to see ghost. Zey have been known to be intelligent."

Uriah Lewis |

Uriah smiles at his successful unmasking of the Duergar. Then he remembers a little about them and makes sure that someone is standing between him and them at all times.

Greycastle |

Ok. So opening the door and going down not the room then?
With a standard examination of the door, Scram declares that this door is untrapped and pushes the door open. As you all enter the room,
The room was once a shrine to the gods of dwarves. The walls are carved with thier four images, and a low stone altar stands at the western end of the room. Stone benches have been smashed and thrown askew, and the icons of the gods defaced.
Atop the altar, arms folded over his chest, lies the ancient corpse of a dwarf warrior in plate mail armor. Bones lie heaped around the room, and at it’s foot crouches the desiccated body of an orc in studded leather.

Sashah |

Religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Sashah scans the room with his curious eyes, seeming to take an inventory. His face immediately turns serious as he speaks with an urgent authority rarely heard coming from Sashah, "I need bench rubble at stone icons. Remove orc corpse from room. Rest of you, clean up vat can. And Scram," Sashah turns to look directly at Scram, locking eyes, "you vill remove nozing from zis room."
Sashah then moves over to use himself and his magics to de-deface the icons of the gods.

Scramsax |

As if hypnotized, in a monotone robotic voice Scramsax responds "...I will remove noses from this room."
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 4
GM, anything of obvious value like a giant ruby etc? For after Sashah has his fun, of course ;)

Ravvek the Avenger |

Ravvek keeps a litany on his lips, keeping an eye out for this ghost, or treachery from the deep dwarf...
Ready hunter's mark...

Myastan Zayless |

Zayless shrugs not understanding the wizards requests but humoring him.

Greycastle |

As the party files into the large room, piles of bones magically stir and collect into three large towering skeletons clutching greatclubs. The dead orc’s eyes open, revealing green fire. He stands and an evil grin seems to come across his emaciated face.
Initiative
Raiden: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19 Uriah: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Sashah: 1d20 ⇒ 7 Scramsax: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Zayless: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Undead Orc: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 Undead Ogres: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
Raiden, Anton, Scram, Zayless, and Ravvek can act befor the cundead creatures.

Anton Jiang |

Hoping the skeletons might fall without their master, Anton rushes for the orc. He draws his blade as he zigzags around the skeletons and unleashes a barrage of slashes and strikes at the undead orc.
Flurry of blows on the orc.
Longsword: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Raiden Bartok |

Raiden likewise attacks the orc, cursing their luck and likewise believing that without this big guy, the others will either fall or be easier to fell. Greatsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 Clearly he is too frustrated to land a blow.

Ravvek the Avenger |

Seeing the others go after the orc, Rav draws the attention of the ogres! C'mere you sacks of bone! Does anyone have any heavy blunt weapons? Smash these things to powder?
Move in between the three ogre skeletons and dodge!

Scramsax |

Hearing Rav, Scramsax slips a crowbar out of his burglar's stash and palms it a few times for weight, before diving face first into the bones...
Improvised weapon. Assuming a crowbar is enough like a club to to get prof bonus
Main, Short Sword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 =17 Halfling luck
Dmg+Sneak: 1d6 + 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + (4, 6) + 3 = 19
Off, Crowbar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Halfling Luck: 1d20 ⇒ 12
19 slashing, 2 blunt if both hit

Ravvek the Avenger |

Scram, you wouldn't add proficiency bonus. But I think that 12 is enough to hit the ogre skels.. nice hits though!

Scramsax |

Well for the future I was referring GM to this:

Ravvek the Avenger |

Neat! I had never thought of that... I could see that...

Myastan Zayless |

Eldritch Blast: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 7

Greycastle |

[dice=Eldritch Blast]1d20+5
[dice=Damage]1d10
target?

Myastan Zayless |

Sorry closest giant skellie.
