Oh - maybe I can cast it on Kynes, then, DM?

Also, Talfryn is going to start bringing a folding table and a couple of chairs for these fights. That way he can sit and read a book while Garvid and Kynes absolutely MURDERATE everything in our path :P

Huh, and here I was going to try and Banish it the next round. Oh well.

Kynes has all his buffs going at the moment, and he expended all his inspiration points to add d6s to his combat rolls (2 inspiration per roll). If we are going to fight Glorio later, Kynes will be much less a dpr player. Garvid can do this kind of thing at a moment's notice though. This is the highest level campaign I've ever played, and the damage output is really impressive. to me. We'll see by how much gets through her DR though. Banish is a great Save or Suck spell!

@Li: yes, you can use the cover provided by allies and the wall to make a stealth check. There might be more to say on this but atm I'm relying on this language: "Against most creatures, finding cover or concealment allows you to use Stealth." Plus, I doubt this fight is going to last much longer...

@Talfryn: yes, the spell can be cast on Kynes.

It certainly feels like that to me.

So let's figure out what we do from here. Do we head upstairs to find Glorio, or try to find some other way out of the mansion and avoid him?

Are silver weapons more effective against all shape changers or just lycanthropes? Wondering if the silver bolts that Li has will be more effective against Glorio. I figure they would have done the research when they were first using silver weapons.

I may just be remembering D&D rules as opposed to Pathfinder which is why I'm asking.

[Roll20] | [Harrow Point Uses] | [Loot] | [Hero Points] | [Padlet] | [Discord Chat]

I would guess it's not effective against all shapechangers, as rakshasas are as resistant to silver as any other material.

From our prior combat against Avidexu and the knowledge rolls made, you'd know that Glorio has DR/good AND piercing (the weapon needs both properties to overcome it), as well as spell resistance.

Kynes you're not up yet so i'll reset your token. After my next post you can decide if you want to take the same or different actions.

Thanks for the reminder. It's good to know that Li will be useless :)

There's still the elephant and the snake people, Li! I imagine everyone who isn't the One Punch Mouse would have significant trouble with that DR.

I say we take care of the elephant first, then let the free action economy do its work against Glorio. Garvid is against letting Vimanda go, but Garvid's player realises Garvid isn't always a dispassionate thinker.

@GM - would the elephant falling on the ground make the snake people fall out of the howdah? (And, since one shoots for the stars, prone, too, given that they're mounted on it?) First idea that popped into my mind when I thought elephant, although unfortunately the 'can't get up' is a myth.

Also, I forgot that I had that (as I do practically all the time).

Enforcer Intimidate: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Not that it mattered...

@Garvid:

1. Yea, the water elemental's strike absolutely puts out the fire.

2. The elephant's got 2 size categories on you (Huge). Generally you can't trip something 2 sizes up, unless you've got a trick up your sleeve...

That was a rule I completely forgot about, sorry! Nothing I can think of, so a trip's a no go. I suppose sundering the Howdah would be a plan, if I could reach it, and if not, giving the elephant a couple of smacks (or sunders, if it's a construct)

[Roll20] | [Harrow Point Uses] | [Loot] | [Hero Points] | [Padlet] | [Discord Chat]

The elephant, once transformed, is just a mundane elephant, so no special defenses there.

You could also use another hero point to attempt the trip. That would bring you to 1 point. But, even if successful, I'll give the rakshasas a reflex save and chance to land on their feet in adjacent squares.

If you opt for straight attacks and damage, go ahead and roll the damage for me.

Mouse is up!

I think I'll save them for more defensive purposes, rather not risk them for the elephant, as dangerous as it might be. And 'dead' is the worst combat debuff!

Damage: 1d10 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26

Garvid, can you move back in some way from the water elemental and elephant? Maybe spend a hero point? I'm going to drop a wall of force between us and them so we can take care of Glorio first.

Barbarian 10/Fighter 1 | HP 66/104 | DR 5/- | AC 27, T 15 FF 21 | Fort +14, Ref +7, Will +6 (+7 Superstition) | CMD 29 | Init +2 | Perception +15

Double digit wizarding woo!

That would be a good use of it, but I think initiative-wise, I'll be going just before you (unless you spend a hero point yourself), in which case I'll do the same. I can take a standard action to turn on combat expertise and move away.

Male Human HP 87/92 | AC 18/ FF 12/ T 16 | Per +7 | F: 8/ R: 7/ W: 10 | Init +5 | Active Conditions: Mage Armor, Overland Flight

You just went, right? Then goes a bunch of folks, then me, then the elephant and water elemental. You'll be going after them. If I'm to get the wall of force off, you'll need to move before my turn, which will mean the use of a hero point?

Talfryn's right. He will be acting before Garvid. You can certainly use the point to act out of turn, taking a move or standard per the hero point rules. Re combat expertise, note its availability is limited: "You can only choose to use this feat when you declare that you are making an attack or a full-attack action with a melee weapon." If all you're doing is moving, I'm not sure it's available.

Barbarian 10/Fighter 1 | HP 66/104 | DR 5/- | AC 27, T 15 FF 21 | Fort +14, Ref +7, Will +6 (+7 Superstition) | CMD 29 | Init +2 | Perception +15

That... Is also true. Damn, I'm missing the basics here, I'll probably reread some of the rules later on.

In such case, I'll use another hero point to go back to my original spot, which would allow Talfryn to go for a wall of force!

Male Human HP 87/92 | AC 18/ FF 12/ T 16 | Per +7 | F: 8/ R: 7/ W: 10 | Init +5 | Active Conditions: Mage Armor, Overland Flight
