Ugh! Sorry to hear. I was thinking of you on Thursday as--for the second time in too short a while--we brought our girl to the ER. This time was because a 2yr old we didn't know (and didn't think to ask about medical history) bit her on the playground.
She's fine--got one shot--but once again we were super happy with the (tired, overworked, sweet, helpful) staff we worked with.

Lurking, working on updating (Even if Hoots isn't done leveling up or buying gear yet). Dunno how long I'll be up though, took some allergy medicine that might knock me flat on my ass.
In the mean time, though, yeah! I'm on.
Also, Hoots, sorry to hear about your daughter! Glad she's alright at least, though.

Groog: You have 12 rage rounds per day, not 10. You also need to fix the perception to match your skills. (+4, not +3). Everything else looks good!
Dahlia: Looks good!
Jingham: Looks good! As far as your roll20 token goes, I took an interesting looking Kellid I found in the Numeria campaign book and used him; Couldn't find anything cyborg-enough looking that wasn't an android or robot. If you have one you'd prefer, let me know! Send me a link to the picture and I'll make a token out of it.
Tenzokul: Went back and double checked everything while adding your info to my Character Info spreadsheet; Everything still looks good! Also, if you haven't already, please make a Roll20 account, hop on via the Campaign link, and let me know who you are so I can add ownership to your token.

Hoots levelin' & gear aquirin' is up to date in profile & gear spreadsheet
+1 DEX
Deadly Aim
Gear
- crafting a bunch of adamantite bullets (and a few cold iron & silver bullets, and some more powder)
- dex +2 belt
- enchant pepperbox +1 (is that a crazy thing to do? I keep thinking I might fall in love with some techy gun...but so far no go)
* In order to buy all of that, I come up 143GP short, so Groog you wanna lend your favorite birdy 150GP?
Groog Blacktusk
Guys: Groog is DUMB!
If you need cash, and Groog has extra, just take it and post the use of it here and I'll deduct it from his cut. It's part of how I want to roleplay his stupidity. If it isn't used by you guys, he is going to start making dumb decisions with it.
For Example:
Being conned by a street vendor that a cooked turkey leg NORMALLY sells for 100 "shinies." Yes, the yellow ones.
As such, deducting another 150 gp from Groog's funds for Hoots.
Straight Shootin' Hoots Magaw
Certainly happy to RP Hoots as Groots' "executor" (which I think is an orcish word)...while you as a player make the real decisions about what to buy.
He's got his pets to keep him from getting into *too* much trouble.

Ok guys, got some new rules I'd like to begin putting into play from here on out.
First up is food; Every evening I'll be taking 1 day's worth of food (for each player) from rations; If you attempted to hunt/fish/scavenge that day, in the evening I'll have you roll your check to see if you were able to get food for the day, and for how many people. The food itself is basically eaten in the evening and likely as the next morning's breakfast, but I'm just going to be deducting it at the end of each day for simplification. While staying in a town, I'll have you tell me how you're getting your food, such as buying it in a tavern/inn, going out and hunting for it (be it outside of town or inside, such as rats/birds), or just using rations.
Second up is sleeping arangements. I want you guys to come up with a watch order for sleeping IF you guys want one. I want to know if you're using this watch order (or a separate one, or not at all) in towns as well. Basically, a 'watch' is generally 8 hours at night (But not necessarily!) when everyone else is sleeping; If say, Hoots takes first watch for the first four hours and Jingham takes the second 8 hours (once he's in the group!), then thats that. I'll also ask how everyone is sleeping, where everyone is sleeping (if applicable), are they sleeping in armor or with a weapon nearby, do they make any special preparations, etc, etc.
I think thats the only two new rules I'm worried about right now; I'll let you know if I think of /remember any others.

I've also found a rather awesome hex map of Numeria we'll be using, not that exploration will be the focus of the adventure. You can see it in the roll20 link!
As far as timeline goes, I'm going to be moving us forward to just after your shopping spree in Hajoth Hakados, so bear with me if I take some liberties with stuff.
Its probably going to have been a few weeks time, all things considered.
Dahlia the Exile
I have returned from the PAX.
DM Crustypeanut
Yeah, apologies guys. With the start of Book 2 (official start, that is), I wrote this big long 'behind the scenes' scene with some of the enemies you'll be facing, but in the end I decided to leave it out for surprise purposes.
That, combined with a really hectic week so far in school has caused the delays. But mostly it was me cutting out the big scene I wrote XD.
Good news is, next week is spring break! I'm so exciitedddd! So lots of time for updates then!
Also, lurking!
DM Crustypeanut
You know, I could go with something simple like "You guys catch a ferry up north and arrive at Aldronard's grave in 10 days." But that's boring. So, expect shenanigans. I've made a ton of progress writing up the update, and I think it'll be worth a laugh or two, considering Groog's usual antics.
Actually, on that note, do you guys even want to stop at Aldronard's Grave? Dolga I think recommended it as a stop, considering its proximity to Scrapwall and that its an old crusader outpost.
Or do you want to just hit up Scrapwall straight up? I've updated the location of Aldronard's Grave on the map in its relation to Scrapwall.
DM Crustypeanut
I've got a nice intro scene set up, almost done with it. Just trying to make things more narrative from here on, in practice for Dragonslayer, which I want to be 'more' akin to Kage's Giantslayer and the old Ruins of Pathfinder campaigns of Rob's in terms of quality.
Plus, Lords of Rust will have MUCH more interaction with intelligent people (And ones you don't have to kill!) unlike Fires of Creation, so you guys will have more roleplaying to do!
..think Borderlands 1, in the scrapyard, for Scrapwall.
DM Crustypeanut
Found an interesting post on play-by-post tactics while reading up the forums. Figured I'd share it with you guys! [url=http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2qciy?Building-a-Better-Doomed-Hero-Painlords[/url]. No I'm not saying any of you need this or anything, but just in case you're curious. I've certainly learned a few things from reading it today.
Dahlia the Exile
Fixed link. :P
Tenzokul
Can I buy some trail rations for Tenzokul before the ferry heads out? He is not one to go swamp hunting for food.
DM Crustypeanut
More of a dry plains setting followed by rocky wastes than swamp. However, you did join in after I wanted everyone to announce GEAR DONE, so I'll allow it. I hope everyone else has food or are willing to fish/hunt when the barge is anchored for the night!
Plus, everyone would have had the rest of the day to get any additional gear before the barge set out in the morning.
Jingham Stormwielder
I don't have any food, but you also mentioned that you'd be being anal about food after we announced our gear was done I believe. I assume Jingham would either be paying the barge dude for food, or have bought some before the trip. Can I do either of those, or am I going to have to start murderhoboing people for a bite to eat?
DM Crustypeanut
Alright guys, sleeping arrangements nightly for this trip, as well as nightly guard arrangments (if any)? Just get into the habit of posting these kinds of things for periods of rest. For this trip, I'll assume you stick to a schedule, so I won't ask for it every night of the 10 nights.
(I've moved the map on roll20 to the River Queen, so feel free to say you moved your token to where you want to sleep)
Straight Shootin' Hoots Magaw
Recommend we sleep on the topdeck (unless weather gets too bad).
Fer watch, Hoots'll try to get the new n00bs to share the work. He suggests:
1. Dahlia+Snow
2. Hoots+Groog
3. Jingham+Tenzokul
EDIT: Hoots'll buy a big bag o birdseed before leaving too. I'll note in his gear (which Groog carries, of course)
That said, on the boat he'll happily fish, taking 10 for 13, catching enough fish to feed himself and Groog.
Dahlia the Exile
Since we can stop and hunt, Snow can provide food for himself, me, and one other person by taking 10. When he gets more skill points I'll try to get that number up a bit higher.
DM Crustypeanut
Lurking!
Also, I want to apologize for my lack of posting on my part, I found this little game called "Ori and the Blind Forest" and I kid you not I couldn't stop playing it. Its one of the best games I've played in a long while. I finally beat it (700 deaths later - yeah, it counts them) and WHEW. I haven't actually played a game through to completion in what feels like ages. This game though..
Dat ending.
Anyways, gonna be on for a few hours working on an update to catch up!
Edit: I took a video and uploaded it of the game. Check it out!
DM Crustypeanut
Going to try and get an update up tonight before the maintenance, but if I don't get it up in time, it'll have to be tomorrow instead.
At school right now so I can't get it updated.
I'd also like to apologize to everyone for my lack of posting lately, I've had a hard time focusing on getting anything written these last few days.
