I don't allow anyone to choose it outright - you have to roll. I'll let you roll 3 times and pick which one you want.
Heck I'll roll for ya.
1d100 ⇒ 64 You gain a +4 racial bonus on Intimidate checks made to demoralize foes.
1d100 ⇒ 71 You gain sustenance from sunlight. Standing in direct sunlight for half an hour nourishes you as though you had just eaten a hearty meal. You still need to drink water.
1d100 ⇒ 55 You can cast augury once per day as a spell-like ability.
Alrighty guys, as it so happens I won't be able to finish the intro up tonight, as I'm too tired. However, I have the day off tomorrow (and again on friday), so I definitely WILL be able to get it up soon.
I'll give others a chance to get the guts up to approach Groog before bestowing his glory upon them. He'll he's too dumb to realize they are his new group (caretakers) anyway.
Just a heads up: I am about to begin an 8 night work stretch. My posting will be slowed during this time, but, as you all know, I will post as frequently as I am able.
Apologies for the slight absense, rough day yesterday that extended to today. I'll see about getting us moving along here shortly once I rest for a bit from work.
Heads up guys. If you see a blue dot-like thing that you can move around, DO NOT TOUCH IT. I'm using it as a way to show where you've been and explored - the reason you can move it around is I had to give everyone control so you can see through it and see where you've been.
Do note that I have added all recovered technology thus far into the Campaign Tab near the bottom for future reference. I'll keep doing so until it gets obscenely large, at which point I'll still do it.
Lurking while I update. Also I have a question for you guys, though I'm getting ahead of my self with this.
Book 3 of Iron Gods is rather.. bland and feels more like a filler book. I won't spoil anything, but do you guys have any objections to me completely re-writing it? You don't seem to mind the changes thus far I've made, but I've so far still kept the overall book plotline in-tact. With Book 3, I'll completely change it around and use an adventure I've been working on instead of the one presented.
That being said.. I'm not sure how well you guys as a group would handle my planned adventure, as its a little bit more investigative and occulty than what your characters might be up for.
I'm sure more than one of you have already at least glanced through the books, so feel free to message me privately if you have anything you really really want to see from book 3, and I can possibly put it in my own creation.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that, honestly. By S3, do you mean book 3, or something else?
Oh definitely Science-Fantasy, Gaius. Very thematic to the campaign as a whole, and a PERFECT tie-in to book 4 in particular. Its just a bit more occulty than the rest of the campaign and more investigative than elsewhere.
Book 3 is just a massive, boring, dungeon crawl that has a rather boring theme with boring enemies and a boring setting, though the main enemy is interesting. People on the forums have complained about it being the worst book of IG and I agree - though the adventure I'm working on was originally set to be in Sandpoint, it wouldn't take any effort at all to move it to the same village that Book 3 takes place in (more on that at the end of book 2).
Plus I get to be creative with some new stuff that wasn't out at the time of the Iron God's release. Huhuhuhu
Well....Groog+investigation focused adventuring will be interesting. Scholar is probably well suited for that sort of thing though. I am good with either approach.
Sunset, you can still read about all of our shenanigans in the other IG thread in my campaign list. It was fun, though I would've made a few changes here and there.
Gonna be updating soon.. gotta make a phone call. I'm on hold right now so I don't know how long it'll take, but I do want to udpate before I take a nap before work tonight.
Alllllright, shits been hectic the last few days, but I'm lurking nao and updating! Was going to update HR first but I've neglected this one a little bit longer.
Lurking while I work on Book 3. You guys are gonna have some fun with this one! And yes Gyr, you'll still get to go into space like your other GM had in mind. *Cackles maniacally*
Something tells me that Hoots would have gotten along well with Sunset, heh.
Still lurking, and I understand Gaius! I intend to lurk throughout the night, as I'm feelin' the itch to work on this book 3. I'm not making it 'as' investigative as I originally planned, but its still there.
While Lords of Rust is definitely a fun adventure with a very thematic setting, this new one is turning out soooo much more fun than the old book 3.
Hey guys as mentioned in RotR/HR I've been going through some shit but good news is I no longer have to rush to find a new place to live, so I'll be updating us here tomorrow night after work to get things moving along again. Apologies for the delays!
