Hey there, possibly might be incommunicado over the next few days, have a relative coming to visit and may not have the opportunity to update posts. If I don't post before then, should be back to the game by Wednesday 13th.
Feel free to rp a bit more amongst yourselves or the NPCs in the meantime, when I return we'll resume your explorations south of the camp.

Not sure if anyone is keeping an treasure list, but I've added what's been found so far to the campaign thread.
Also, I've been thinking about experience. With the nature of the online game, I don't want you to feel you've had to spend ages fighting small encounters and missing out on the meatier things to come. Would everyone be agreeable with the following solution: For now, I've doubled the xp values for all xp awarded so far. This would put you pretty close to leveling up for 2nd level. I suggest we keep on this way until Level 3, then revert back to normal xp awards. This would allow us to skip some of the low-level encounters but shouldn't leave you lagging behind in experience for later in the adventure. After all, there's a lot more to the Serpent's Skull than sitting stuck on Smuggler's Shiv! And, it seems the adventure assumes you should have more wandering monsters thrown at you, though technically with the results of the dicebot that hasn't been the case.
Also haven't thought to ask, what will you do with Yekskya's statue?

Yekskya |

HP for level 2
1d10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 1 = 10
Yekskya is all leveled up. Grabbed Rapid Shot as the bonus feat and put skill points into more Stealth and Survival. Eventually, I'll drop some into Knowledge (Dungeoneering) and Knowledge (Engineering) unless others are going to cover those.

Zaghigoth Stormbile |

Leveled as well. Obviously I got Woodland Stride, and then an extra orison and extra 1st level spell which went to Calm Animals so I can begrudgingly help get that dinosaur for Sasha, haha. Put ranks into Climb, Swim, Knowledge (Geography), Heal, and Perception, and Shiv got a feat which went to weapon focus.

Grym the Trapper |

Second Level HP: 1d10 ⇒ 9
Second level update complete. Turns out I'd missed a lot of stuff from when I first created the character as I didn't use Hero Lab. Have a look, CH, and let me know if you have any questions.

Hey everyone, sorry I've not been posting much, my time this week has mostly been taken up with job applications, interviews, and ill children.
I'll post an update tomorrow. From your intentions, we'll pick up from where the cannibals ambushed you and take it from there, but if you could let me know if you plan on taking any of the others from camp with you. Grym's not been around for a while, I know his player is keen but has had some RL things going on that have taken some time to resolve. In the meantime, I think we can NPC his half-orc.

Glad you're ok. One of our art directors was right there in Jersey. She and her husband (and dog) were fine, but did have to leave for a couple days. Sounds like things are ok for them now too. I'm headed to NYC on Tuesday for a conference so we'll see how that goes.

Happy 2013 everyone! Shall we see what lies at the end of the path? Yikes, are we really splitting the party!
Also a quick announcement that I have the honor of being named a finalist in Kobold Press's Valhalla Calling adventure design competition. If you have a chance, check out all the pitches and vote for your favorites.

Unfortunately, I didn't win, but it was great to even make finalist in that field. They had 90 entries, so making top 5 was pretty nice. Here's the link to the finalists and here is the link to the winner announcement.

Just wondering, I've had a few people approach me about starting up a Skull & Shackles PbP game. Would anyone on this thread be interested in joining? I'm looking for a party of 6 so on the lookout for a couple more players, and thought to bypass the public recruitment. I should have the threads up for the game soon with character creation details, if you want to play just let me know.

Thanks for your interest! I'll get the threads up in the next couple days, then let you know. In the meantime, if you want to have a think about characters, have a look at the player's guide for inspiration. It's pretty open, though I have someone joining the game who has already created a bard, and someone else joining who is set on playing a rogue-type.
