It's cool - it's just psychic. It was foretelling your post. :)
And on the hard drive issue - did you actually manage to recover anything? Usually billowing smoke's hard to recover from...

I had a dual boot, with Windows 7 primary on a 1 TB drive, and a Windows 8.1 on a secondary 250 GB drive.... much of the important things were backed up on the other drive. At the moment, I'm not expecting to recover anything from the primary.... There's a fair amount of char on the drive pins themselves, and the board near those pins...

I figured whether you were busy or just tongue tied, it was at least a way to advance things. But now it's your turn, because that was my brilliant idea. :P Clearly I am an EXPERT at investigation.

Afore I forget, I've been trying to watch the ACG Errata pop on the d20SRD, and while difficult while not comparing the two side by side, read the Errata pdf itself. I don't see anything that should hinder what I can, or was interested in doing when (well, if) we continue past this murderous spate.
Yes, a few things changed, but realistically, most of them are for the better. Loopholes were closed for the most part. A few things I'd been looking at and considering were nerfed, but since I'm still actually considering them, they most likely needed them. Divine Protection is not something I was considering.

What? A forum post about the ACG errata that actually has the words "most of them are for the better" in it? :O
Mostly kidding. Little bit serious.

lol.
90% of the adjustments I've seen, that affect me, that aren't Divine Protecttheworld, are additions of "once you use this, you can't affect the target for 24 hours" ... replacing something on the order of "Once the effect wears off, you can't use this on the target for 24 hours". That there, is a nasty loophole that some folks might have tried to drive a truck through.
I have no objection to that! As for the Divine Protecttheworld feat itself? On one hand, I think they may have gone a bit far with the 1/day tag, but, the original version was a bit much.

But my oracle in my last IRL game LIKED un-errata'd Divine Protection. :P
Nah, I agree, it was a bit excessive, especially for oracles. At least clerics, warpriests, etc. use Charisma as a secondary stat instead of their only really necessary stat, so most likely they'd only have a +2 or +3. As for oracles...sweet, sweet +7 or higher to all saves...
I do agree they maybe took it a bit far nerfing it, but yeah, when one feat takes three others, smashes them together, and potentially triples, quadruples, etc. the bonuses of the original feats...maybe a bit much. Even with the limitations they had on it.

In the sidebar, under "Pathfinder Roleplaying Game", click "Free Downloads". That's got all the errata documents, and the ACG one is highlighted in red right now.

I'm going to be pretty busy for most of the day today, so I most likely won't be posting much. I'll peek in as I get a chance.

It is still day, and there is low light in the room, but everyone can see enough. If it was pitch dark, yes, unless he had darkvision, he would be blind.

Hooray, near-TPKs! :D I'm weird - I actually like near-TPKs even as a player. It's just more fun than rofl-stomping everything for some reason.

True, but I was actually hoping that they'd storm through this battle. This one took up a lot of their resources and they still have two more major battles this dungeon. And I really do not want them leaving to rest before finishing up.
I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that - maybe have them be attacked in the middle of the night if they retreat.
The scenario is they're in a major battle (lots of box allies fighting a war against the box bad guys up top) while they're the strike force that went down into the main bad guy's underground headquarters. They have to fight through his lieutenants and then face him.
So them leaving the battle unfinished may have severe repercussions with the NPC battle going on up top. Maybe I'll have their actions reflect the turn of events with the battle.

Ooh, ick. Yeah, nearly getting TPKed by a fight they should have breezed through makes things tougher.
I'd definitely have repercussions for retreat if you really don't want them to leave. Maybe have them find out somehow that the BBEG is preparing some kind of huge magical strike against the battle force up top, that has to be released at sunrise for the magic to work? If he's got magic at his disposal, that is, either himself or through cronies.

Thought there would be one or two kills, then the adventure kicks off... This wears on the nerves. Not exactly feel-good rpg escapism.
