Opening the Gameplay and Discussion Threads, and getting some info in the campaign tab

If it's all right, I realized that I had meant to change one of my known languages from Draconic to Chelaxian - it's much more in character, but I had forgotten to get the adjustment in. That cool, Corsario?

Right... Chelaxian is "Taldan", also known as "Common".
But... in Korvosa they talk a very particular dialect... "Korvosan". Something like a particular slang.

Can you post a list of what the numbered buildings are please?
Work in progress... I will eventually.
But don't worry about that... none of them are secret, you know them all, and will probably never be needed. I put it mostly for Background.| Aliana Merali |
Cheliax as a nation has common and infernal as its primary languages.
Yeah, for some reason they struck me as the sorts that would have their own language - nationalism and all that. But I guess it hasn't really been that long since they seceded, just a few hundred years, and they haven't really been isolated from Taldor since then.

Did we know the carnival was coming, or it is random where it shows up?
You more or less know the season the carnival comes, but as with everything Varisian the exact day, or even if they will show up for a specific year at all, is doubtful.
But the carnival has appeared, around this date, for the last 8 years... so it was expected (for good or for bad) by many.| Constable Huntington |

Perfect. I was wondering if the townsfolk were expecting it or if was just a complete out of the blue surprise.

Did i told you this module is a murder mystery?
As you sure have realized already, we are beginning with you meeting the suspects / victims of it...

It was Colonel Mustard in the Library with the candle stick.
Damn right it was.
| Orne |
Orne grew up with the carnival... Until he became a cleric of Desna... Soon after that, he went off on his own... A vision quest of sorts, an ordeal to "find himself".
He's only 15 or so.
His father takes care of the animals, tends to them, cleaning, washing, feeding, watering, mending. He's an Orc or Half-Orc.
His mother cooks, provisions the carnival. She's a wonderful cook, tasty, healthy food. She's appreciated by the others. The father gets some of the usual Orc prejudice, but he's a good soul and inhumanly patient. Nearly a pacifist, for all his size, and strength.
Orne has a younger half-orc sister. She helps mom.

For Desna ... The townie's, I can ALMOST understand, as it's a major faith for the "Evil" Varisians.. for most of them anyway. The sailors and merchants I'd expect to be more tolerant...
Regardless of the local sentiment, there's no other deity for me... Stars man, Stars.

And now I'm singing Les Miserables in my head, despite the fact that Javert is perhaps the least Desnan character imaginable. Ever. Period.

Part of me now wants to make a character that thinks he's an inquisitor of Desna...really a lawful neutral ranger, favored enemy humanoid (human). :)

That part I can kind of understand. But the town druggie doesn't seem like the type of person who would care enough to be racist.
Most druggies I know (and I actually do know more than is healthy) are more concerned with either getting their next hit or recovering from drug abuse to care about other people - even if in hatred.
Fish's idea about a strange sensation also makes some amount of sense to me.

Clarifications about Filton Legg response:
Unless specifically stated, all the NPC's are Chelaxians and Erastil followers. All of them distrust, if not downright despise, Varisians.
There are some of them that tolerates, or even accept, Varisians. Those will be explicitly mentioned (like Sheriff Feldane, for example).
What Orne did to Filton was like a Christian making the sign of the holy cross in the head to a Muslim. Even with the best of intentions it would be considered a social faux-pas.
Yes, Filton is somewhat "tolerant" of Varisians (He said hello to Orner, right? He even talk to him!), which most of the town inhabitant are not. But is not THAT tolerant, as to accept a blessing and a spell of Desna.
What would the rest of the town say? That he is a Desna convert? A Varisian lover?
I mean, he is just trying to be accepted as a good person... he can't risk being associated with Varisians...

I haven't dropped in some details about some class abilities, mostly because they are not relevant at level 1, and wordcasting is... odd enough as is. I DO intend to keep adding in details as we level up in the post module AP, but don't want to bury the important details.
Edit- Orne, are you not a Townie?
| Orne |
Outskirts of Townie, but local. Docks, checkpoints, warehouses... Anywhere merchants would conduct business.
He's a facilitator.
Understands prejudice towards race and religion so he doesn't draw much added unnecessary attention to himself.
