Male Human Wizard 2

This is Wofguy. I'm planning on playing my Universalist Wizard (I can fill any role really, but this character is already ready). The back story was written for a Kingmaker game, however I feel like it defines him so well I don't really want to change it.

Male Human Garundi Fighter 1 (Weapon Master): Init +3; Senses Perception +1: AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 14 (+4 armor, +3 Dex) : hp 11 : Fort +3, Ref +3, Will +1

Straight backed, head held high. Jauhar walks in taking in the room, a grim determined look.

A fighter wielding an ornate thin Longspear.

He is a fighter, weapon master now that is allowed. He will be taking levels of poisoner Rogue as well.

Ok, well I may actually not run my wizard. A kingmaker recruitment opened up and I applied with my wiz. I'll run any position no one else wants to fill.

Perhaps you should pick up the first DM spot.

I'm here! I'm available to play any number of characters, but seeing as there isn't one yet, I'd prefer to take a scout/stealth role with either Orion of the Oaks (Elven Ranger) or Touchstone (Dwarven Rogue). I am also willing to DM first, if necessary.

I'd prefer not to be DM first, I have other plans.

I think I'll make a divine caster.

Just checking in.

I am willing to take the ball for the 1st month, but what AP should we go with?

what point buy/roll system should we use?
starting gold?

Using society guidlines, with no race restrictions may be a good place to start. We can always pick and choose what we want to add and not add.

I even have the entire "Devil we Know" four part series Ito start us off on, not running as an official game of course. But it has a decent story arc at will take us though lvl 1 or even 2 if we advance progression.

20 point buy is solid. Starting gold could either be average or max, depending on what the first DM wants.

Personally, I use http://www.d20pfsrd.com/home as my resources book for pathfinder, because it has all the info for free. Obviously lets not go with 3pp materials, just to keep it safe.

Adventure Paths don't work, because when we switch DM, if they don't have it, then it can't be followed. The cool thing about this idea is that someone starts writing a story (pretty much), then when the next DM takes over, they get to write the next part, and so on.

First DM might take them into a group of orcs to parley, planning on it being an ambush, but then the next DM decides that the orcs join forces with the PCs if they help wipe out a problematic bunch of Gnolls. Then the next DM decides that the orcs are really in league with the Gnolls, and they get attacked by both.

That is what makes this idea cool. So running homebrew adventures would work best I think, though it probably is more effort for the DM. I'd say set it in the world of Golarian though, just to make some of the work easier.

Seconded Wofguy. With only a month that may be just one encounter Hur-ouk.

checking in here as well.

was going with a cleric but never posted as I wasn't sure this thing was continueing. will get busy on the character

hey wolfguy I applied to the same kingmaker game. whoever makes it in (if it is either of us) will play the cleric the other play the wizard

I will work on a character later today and be ready to go soon. I also like the idea of freeform storylines.

here is my cleric

no background yet until decided where we are starting.
also no equipment yet

Male Elf Rogue 1

I settled on a Rogue(sniper) for my scout-type class. Right now I have a +10 to perception and As of level 4, I'll potentially have a +17 to perception and be able to make sneak attacks from 50' away.

Working on an idea for either Ifrit Flame Oracle, or for a Battle Oracle. You could probably go for a cleric as well, focusing more on healing.

Yeah, I worked on a rogue sniper, until I get fed up with not having enough feats. Then I made a Fighter archer that could hit someone through an arrow slit from 675 feet away without any penalties.

Rangers make the best archers.

I think we should see about just a few more players and then cut off accepting recruits. I think an upper maximum of 8 players would be fine, but hover somewhere around 6 or so.

Wofguy - Oracle, Wizard, Cleric well the opposite of Edward, if Wof aggrees.
Cyne Lar - Sniper Rogue
Edward Sorbel - Cleric, or the opposite caster of Wofguy.
Gm Jacob - undecided
Hur-Ouk - offered to DM first other wise wants to play a Barbarian
Ross Hearne - a handsome devil by all accounts in history is playing a Fighter Weapon Master, going Rogue after level 3.

So two more players and we cut it off? If we have some problems after starting and people drop we can always get more. Me I don't mind unbalanced parties. There are always ways around any probelm. Usually its dying but thats fun too.

Cyne Lar is GM Jacob.

I'd also rather run an oracle than a wizard for this, so edward can go with the wizard, or he can run the cleric he has planed so I don't have to worry about healing as much.

Elf

got room for me? I have no pbp DM experience but am more than willing to give it a shot when my turn comes up :)

@Wofguy - Heck, yeah! That's what fighters are for! I was trying to be a little more than a one-trick pony. I was actually a little bummed that I couldn't take the major magic rogue trick without the minor one, too, because I really wanted true shot.

I actually remember the first time that I made the connection that the range increment wasn't the limit of my range. That was a good day.

Oh good call Wof. I had not checked.

Gilthanis as far as I see it we do, though I am not the final word here.

@Hur - you ready with what you want to do story wise?

What I prefer for the Major Magic is vanish. All rogues are missing is an easy invisibility spell. Plus I have a soft spot for it after it saved my wizards life from an ogre mage one time.

And for 0 level you pick up ray of frost, then you can sneak attack with that as well. Essentially get 3 touch sneak attacks per day.

You'd get a few more with shocking grasp.

If no one is opposed to me GMing the 1st month, I am happy to do so,

Initial story line.

You wake on a cold stone floor. This is not the blackness of night. This is the complete and total absence of light. You try to remember where you are, and how you cam to be here to no avail. As you stand, you begin to feel about your person and realize that you are dressed in your full set of gear. You take a step and stumble over another figure laying on the floor. He/she..it? begins to stir.

You pull a torch from the outside of your pack. The flint sparks are almost blinding, in short time the torch illuminates what appears to be a large natural cavern. Oddly enough, the ground under your feet is flat and polished smooth. A large circle about 50' in diameter ringed with strange markings that you have never seen before.

Others are laying on the flat circle still asleep or beginning to wake up.

You think to yourself,

"Where the hell am I?"

I kind of do want to play the cleric but I will see who gets accepted in the Kingmake game I applied my wizard to.

Good start. Now all we need is complete characters for everyone.

Male Ifrit Oracle 1, HP 11/11, AC 15, Init: +10, Per: -1, F: 2, R: 2, W: 1

(aka wofguy)
Ok, bug right now where you cant create new profiles. This is going to be my Ifrit Oracle of Fire. His main focus will be combat supplemented by his magic. I would have gone battle oracle, but getting fire wings at level 7 is too cool to pass on.

Hur-ouk, you can either take control of this campaign by emailing paizo, or you can make a new one. Either way, we will need to be switching control of the campaign board every month.
