If you're flagged orange/red safe zones aren't safe for you :P. If you want to turn in a green player there are special jail keyed TP crystals.

Incidentally those three combat maneuvers would have flagged them as orange.

Hmm. Maybe. I'd need to re read the manga as iirc it was kilking or attacking another player, (as combat manuevers didnt nessicarly exist) but they haven't made any actual attacks against you. I shall nleave it to the dice on a 1 maneuvers flag you, on a 2 only melee attacks ( or the like) flag you.

fatesfavored?: 1d2 ⇒ 1

The idea of a yellow flag that you can get temporarily might not be a bad one. It could be used to let people know that their actions might be a little over the line.

Of course in this case argus lost the green marker 4 months ago and has a permanent yellow one... Haha.

Male Dwarf Zen archer monk 1 HP9/9 AC16/16/14 Init:+2 Perception:+8(+10stonecunning), Fort:+4Ref+5Will+6(+3vs spell/SLA/Psn)

Puts on asmodeus associate hat.

Combat maneuvers do technically exist, kirito sunders a sword at one point in the show. Monsters trip/grapple/grab whenever the show decides it wants to (the giant flowers and Priscilla)

Pretty sure that indirectly harmful effects dont trigger orange, but im on my phone so im too lazy to look it up myself. Ill see if I can find it in the morning.

Though I would say that now those bad guys are orange that they are basically plot piniatas if you guys can catch em. Would mean gavin gets a crazy amounts of info, has argus over a barrel and gets to have a partner regardless of the situation for the tournament.
Plus the black ravens get enough info to be able to actually take the adamnant fortress Awn.

Were there an icon warning for verbal abuse argus would absolutely be that color.

As I recall orange is temporary; I think it was like a 2-3 day flag for a first time offense (this is referenced when Kirito takes down that gang of thugs who try stealing the revival flower from whats-her-face the dragon tamer chick).

And technically the sleep-PK requires a grapple check to get people to ok a duel, which they said cannot happen inside towns.

Haha; yeah this is actually turning out pretty nicely.

Most games would have revoked your chat privileges :P.

IIRC you get flagged orange for "attacking a green player." A combat maneuver is an attack (says so right in the description), and in the show attacks which would be combat maneuvers in D&D are called "attacks."

I'm willing to accept your ruling either way; it's your setting, and I'm certainly not an SAO expert anyway.

*Sigh* darn it Rorek, you took away my plot piniatas. My inner fat kid is saddened by the loss of their delicious innards.

@Saardonis, cool. Let it be known that Gavin is the exception to the rule on post speed because holy hell i'm pretty sure he is some kind of bored AI trapped in a server.

@Zero/Eira/Talori You alright? Think I lost you in the Wordalanche.
Ignoring Gavins story I think were are in two different time places right now with the Ravens.
1. Argus talked with Gavin, heard about a source for info. Helped you guys pick up some decent bashy weapons (apparently at a steep discount) and then left for Meridian heights.
2. The Ravens are in the Reaper forest (The fort just outside of Adamant fortress Awn, on Sorrow hill surrounded by the swamp of Blurgitiy burg I don't remember what it was. Argus has arrived from his venture in Meridian just a few moments ago.

I can understand that one, post when ya can. Hopefully Argus will be able to finagle some Adamantine weapons out of this contact so we can make with the choppin'.

If we got adamantine weapons...if they ignore hardness anyone ever wonder why they still take DR from skeletons... Cuts through iron like butter but gets caught up on bone.

+2 weapons ignore weapon type DR, +3 ignores stuff like DR silver, +5 iirc ignores everything but alignment DR or DR-

I thought it was

+1 magic
+2 nothing new
+3 DR silver/cold iron
+4 DR Adamantine
+5 DR alignment

And DR- is only beat by paladins and any ability that specifically ignores DR?

Yep, and the reference is entirely apt. rolled a 3, got a 1 in total.

Argus is absolutely never going to be a diplomat. Well I suppose I COULD make him one but it would seem really weird for everyone to suddenly love the swearing guy because he swears so well.

We were looking for a 10... Lol. But no, no adamantium weapons for you /:

Male Dwarf Zen archer monk 1 HP9/9 AC16/16/14 Init:+2 Perception:+8(+10stonecunning), Fort:+4Ref+5Will+6(+3vs spell/SLA/Psn)

see, now taunting me like that is just cruel. Darn dice just like the idea of Argus dropkicking people more than they do him talking.

Oh well, I'll just have to find some other fool to kick in the head.

Out of curiosity are the night ravens well on their way out into the new adventure area already, or would there be time after all of this to catch up?

Gavin wants some payback... But the mighty time machine is already in pretty heavy use, and I'm sure he can't match argus's travel speed.

Male Dwarf Zen archer monk 1 HP9/9 AC16/16/14 Init:+2 Perception:+8(+10stonecunning), Fort:+4Ref+5Will+6(+3vs spell/SLA/Psn)

For 150gp you can get a targeted teleport crystal. Would let you catch up. I mean so long as argus' s guild leader is cool with it. Once they hear the twilit blades are after you they likely wont have any issue.

I'd have to sell my bow. Hm... Horses *headsmack. Cheap and efficient. Also, you might want an adamantine blanch for your arrows/guildies in case of bone golems -- gavin will suggest this when he can check his messages/speak with past argus. Future Argus probably needs it in his inventory.

As to arrows. Argus has his hawkeye preparedness badge.
Weapon blanch (ghost salt) 200gp Arrows (200 normal 200 blunt 80(40P/40B)cold iron, 80(40P/40B) silver 6 durable adamantine, 20 whistling,) 2 tanglefoot arrows, 2 holywater arrows 2 pheremone arrows 524gp

I'm interested. Go ahead.

Blah, well that took way longer than I had planned. Got held up at work so I was delayed getting home and writing that horrible text wall.

Also, in case we are using the SAO definitions of it.

SAO wiki, color cursors wrote:
Player Killers are granted permanent orange colors. While in the linguistic these players are referred to as "Red" players due to their interference with clearing the game, their cursors are not actually red.

Due to the way you phrased with the Mooks speech I assume that this is different in the Blade of honor game?

Of course in SAO the color of orange deepens the worse your actions are, and generally lightens gradually afterwards (except for PKing). We could say that "not very bad like the ones which happened in town" show up so light as to appear yellowish against most backgrounds, while PKing green/low orange players results in a saturated, almost ruby hue.

That's still different from SAO, since damaging green players/stealing from any player (combat maneuver) is considered the same "weight" of offense. Personally I'm indifferent; at some point when it has had time to be thought through it would be nice to have at least a "guideline" of colors (and any effects they impart) so we're all on the same page.

Friend's List and Character Background added to sheet.

Time machines are fun.

Guideline as it stands
-grapple, restrain, ect. Yellow. (Or excessive sound pollution)
-doing actual HP damage to other players, poisoning others, etc-orange
-killed a playrr-red. Unless said player was orange or red.

@Zero: You are one of those weirdos that likes their bacon all floppy I bet. Wouldn't know good bacon if it bit ya.

@Fujiro nope, jump right in. looks like the Black ravens (Eira,Talori,Zero and Argus) along an undermined number of players are about to raid Adamant Fortress Awn.
With them either arriving at the same time or a good while later or perhaps even before due to Temporal displacement nonsense.
Darn Argus keeps fisting things that ought not be fisted.
Place is crawling with {Golems} of various nasty types, some sort of Air witch boss and lets not forget the Murder guild the Twilight blades that are hanging out in there for some reason. The black ravens are heading in there to spoil their fun.
Oh and lets not forget the Level 5 boss door, which has been implied to be inside the fortress as well.

In addition there is a tournament happening in meridian heights in two days, its run by the Blades of Night. The Renegade guild has no known ties to the Blades of Twilight, the much reviled murder guild. Just an unfortunate quirk of similar names.
Though they have no love lost for a good chunk of the populace due to their desire to keep the game running rather than return to the real world.
Somehow the guild got permission to have orange players enter for the days of the tournament. There is obviously quite a great amount of things going on in the background here.

So far we know the tournament will be solo rounds, double rounds or whatever the crowd happens to want at the time.
Loss in a round will forfeit your equipped gear to the winner, so the potential winnings are high if you are willing to bet everything you have equipped on your skills being better than the next persons.
There will also be gambling on the brackets, you can even bet on your own victory if you choose to.
But be warned, bet only what you are prepared to lose or you are highly likely to regret it.

Thas a nice sword, looks great for choppin'down evil trees with. Or golems. Or both.

So clearly I'm need to duct tape some recliners to my delorean's roof. Though perhaps I could mug the doctor and upgrade to a certain police box.

Ok, so if there is anyone who wants their weapons drawn I'm willing to do them.

Currently Alembic has a generic +1 bastard sword, but in my mind he carries a sunblade, which looks like a slightly shortened greatsword with a blade made of gold and a hilt more reminiscent of a scimitar than a stock cross hilt. Double edged, with runes emblazoned down the center of the blade.

So, you know, nothing really fancy =_
