I forgot to take into account +3 AC gained by her "Offensive Defense" Rogue Talent, so her AC was 22, and wasn't hit.

Shadow feels, more than sees, the Goblins behind her trying to hurt her. She worries for it, as getting surrounded is not something she likes.
She evaluates the best way to get away from this, but then sees Aurora, and decides she will fight for her new friend.
Time to let her secrets out of the dark.
In the blink of an eye she moves her Katana over her head, and lets a whiff off darkness surround it.

She stays still for a second, perfect figure, shaking her head at the horrible attack, after his blade is thrown off against the Goblin Boss. Then she takes a 5' step to stand next to Aurora.
She don't gain +3 AC with "Offensive Defense" Rogue Talent so her AC is 19.

Talori notices that her class' passive, Evade Reach, will allow her to step back, use Dragonfire, and then drink a potion. Sweet, and Talori takes a step back.

Since I'm using Evade Reach, the dragon's reach is reduced to 5, allowing me to take a 5 foot step back and it won't be able to hit me.

Not to worry my dwarfy friend. happens to the best of us, too bad it happened to you in a sea of goblins though.
@Talori- the absolute quickest way to drink a potion is with the Accelerated drinker trait. it lets you use a move action to drink one thats in hand.Quick draw technically doesn't work on items except weapons but most GM's i've run with tend to roll with quick draw letting someone grab a potion quickly. free+move at best. Standard+move at worst.
Secondly, Fan the Flames is a L3 maneuver. its got a 2 round cool down after you use it so I think you would be out of luck anyway.

" Alright its stopped spinning, kill the #$@% out of that thing so I can get my hat!"

Testing my shiny new archery sword art. Text is in Argus's profile under "Taking Aim" which I am calling Blackwind as the name doesn't impress me.

A screen appears in the upper left corner of Argus's vision, with a wave the message opens and an e-mail begins to scroll.
Richard,
I had a chat with that tech who had been interested in expanding the use of bows in the system. I can't much understand why you have the desire to use a bow in a game that is clearly intended to be about sword fights but then I've never really been into the game anyway.
As another mention, for a bonus I was given a voucher to one of the 10,000 slots of SAO copies to be sold on launch day. Perhaps when I join you I can see what it is that you see in the game I have worked on so much.
I hope to hear from my brother that you are eating dinner with them next time I ask.
Your uncle, Nishida.

With a flash Argus swipes the confirmation and a new icon appears

"Man, you overgrown spawn of a leperous chicken and a blind gecko, you just can't get a break." Argus grins wide as he pulls yet more arrows from his quiver "But you should be proud, because you and your computer generated face get to be the very first in the world to taste this!"

Bow glowing with curling purple energy Argus looses a volley of arrows that arc directly for the dragons vitals black and purple particles tracking through the air to their target.

HEART!: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 22d6 + 9 ⇒ (6, 5) + 9 = 20

IMPORTANT: blackwind makes all my attacks for that round as touch attacks. so I ought to have little trouble landing this horrible savaging.
*sigh* which seems to be taunting me with how bad those rolls were.

The first arrow races forward, before in a pulsing flash the last arrow disappears as it leaves argus' s bow. Halfway to the target the first arrow is interepted as the arrow comes back intersecting it. The paired objects stop blurrring slightly before spinning up with a noise like a bandsaw and flying off into the distance.
Argus looks down at his bow and back the rapidly vanishing object.
what?

well this is convenient for me.

Talori gives a small smile. "We make a decent team,", she says, and suddenly the guild charter appears in front of you again-except it lists Eira as the definite leader! "To be honest, me and Eira were pretty evenly matched. I'm not gonna pretend I am leagues above her or anything. And, even if I won the contest, I would've given the leadership position to someone else anyways. I'm not exactly good commander material. I'm more like the huge rock you hold above every other guilds' collective heads if they piss you off. So, anyways, here's to our new guild-Two Dragons!"

Suddenly, a flagon of good-quality ale appears in everbodys' inventory. "A toast, perhaps?"

So, I was wondering: How are we handling guilds? I was thinking a system like this:

As soon as a guild is formed, the leader gets Leadership as a bonus feat. However, they start with 8 leadership points, regardless of their Leadership Score. Your cohort will be substituted with you lieutenant-in this case, probably Zero.

In order to raise your Leadership Score, you must acquire Fame Points, which you can gain in the following ways (Fame Points are traded for leadership score points on a 2:1 basis):

1. Going around town and advertising your guild. This earns you 1 Fame Point.
2. Completing a quest. Because different quests have different difficulties, they have variable Fame Points. Individuals can also earn Fame Points this way.
3. Clearing a floor. Each floor boss is worth 20 Fame Points, split up between guilds. For example, if five guilds go after Illfang the Kobold Lord, each of them earn 4 Fame Points. Individuals who participated in the raid also earn Fame Points equivalent to the guilds who went at it, divided among themselves. Round up in all cases. For example, if Kirito, Asuna, and Agil participated in the raid, each of them would earn 2 Fame Points.
4. Fame Points can also work as a GM award for something amazing that was accomplished. For example, if Kirito went after Nicholas the Renegade by himself, the GM would award him 10 Fame Points.

As well as using Fame Points to gain followers, leaders of guilds can distribute Fame Points among all PC members for them to gain individual benefits. Also note that when somebody who's part of the guild decides to solo something, half of the fame they gain goes to themselves, and the other half goes to their guild.

How Fame Points apply to individuals: When individuals gain Fame Points, they gain a variety of benefits that they can purchase with them. Some examples include:

1. For every Fame Point spent on the Fearsome benefit, there is a cumulative 10% chance that lower level individuals facing the gainer of the benefit runs away. For equal level individuals, the benefit is halved. For higher level individuals, this does not apply.
2. For 10 Fame Points, you can gain a Unique Skill. You can work out with your GM about the Unique Skill.
3. You can spend a Fame Point to add a +5 bonus to any roll you make. You can spend additional Fame Points to add to that bonus, +5 for every Fame Point spent.

Of course, there should be many more ways individuals can spend Fame Points.

For leaderhip/fame i'd say that it would likely work better as leadership without a cohort. If Rorek wants to give us an NPC to play with I don't think we need to worry overly much on it, as requiring we select a cohort just means more work balancing the party for rorek.
I do like your fame system though, not sure if the personal fame point system will do much but spike the power on our already pretty rockin' PCs. Seems like the unique skills in the game are granted on whim of the creator for the most part. if we are believe Kirito's dual wield or Heathcliffe's Holy sword that is.

"Right, just a dragon" Argus spits, thumping the frozen tree behind him. An ominous crack racing up it. "Dunno about you two but little lion girl is right, you are..."
it almost looks like the rest of the sentence causes Argus physical pain
"Not complete idiots, and to be able to get any further in the beta I need a team annoyingly enough."
"The server will close for maintenance soon, so I don't think we have time to duke it out for fun much as I'd like to test my fancy new bow skill.
I gotta say though that on we still need to vote on something to call us, Cuz that sounds like a crappy rapper's puffed up title Talori."

"Way I see it is that names in this game are like Tatoos, cept this one floats over your head constantly screaming to all the world that you are an idiot" States argus
"I don't believe in providence but I would say that its suspicious there were only four of us for that little fight. White Wyrm Thamril is suppose to be hit by groups of six ta eight.
I'm fairly certain that he isn't supposed to spawn this far from the forest and unless you take the quest to find him he doesn't spawn on groups less than 6.

So I gotta say that what with killing something we had no reason to be able to that we are all $#$(in' skilled at what we do.

She had never been given this kind of position in the real nor virtual world. The thought of being a leader of any kind in either world was an exciting task for her. The iced lip mark on Argus's neck glitters as he swiftly turns from the beginning of a truly epic tirade and gives a low rumbling growl as he butts up against a tree and leans heavily.
He looks ar Eira as Lyons suggestion is processed and sees a spark quite familiar.
That look, I've seen it before. She's never been given this chance, to act as a leader rather than a mere sheep. I had it myself once... god it must be the day, but fine $%*#in' fine I can deal.
Because if she wants this, and I stomp on it I'd regret it. Lets see if rather than just being buoyed by her man-toy and someone she met online that she can hold onto what she wants with her own two hands.
Because if she can't show some spine here, after a stunning victory flanked by allies then I can't follow her.

"So lyons, I find that I agree you're too blunt an instrument to be our leader. However I honestly don't find myself impressed so far." Argus stomps directly in front of Eira
"I've seen you fight, I've even seen you win." Argus looks up to her face and locks eyes "But I've seen lots of folks like you, good at what they do but incapable of taking what they know and growing from there.
Eira, tell me do you honestly believe yourself CAPABLE of leading or are you going to WILT like a #*$%in'frightened child at the first problem?
Because I don't want to waste my time on a guild if I would be better off Soloing."

I'm putting this in for IC completeness, I hope Argus's actions and words display his intent well enough.

DC10 sense motive:
Argus seems to be forcing the anger on this tirade he's in. its rather obvious that he's waiting for Eira to react, He is testing her Mettle.

I wear a smile when I panic and put grey aliens to shame when calculating."She clears he throat and straightened herself up. She gives him a sly side glance. "Is that a leader you can roll with? Or is that too much for you?" She extends a hand for a shake. "So what do you say?"

"She works customer service for a networking company IRL I've seen her work. It's kinda scary actually." Zero says as he accepts his guild invite.

Better, perhaps this might even be worth my time.
Argus grunts "I don't much believe you, on account of words being worth #$%(in' nothin'." Then he slams his hand into Eira's
"But I'll give you a chance to prove me wrong."
The dwarf nods before accepting the invitation with his other hand.

Hornfell takes another swing...

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 + 3 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (8) + (2) + 4 = 14

Apologies for any delay. IRL, my house had to get its hardwood yanked because of water damage...

This one actually.

you are presented with a screen named- the goblin scouring,

Not far from here a goblin priest has rallied several smaller bands to his call, they have formed a small village and launch raids on the local travelers and towns nearby, we need someone to enter this camp, and either remove all the goblins, or cut off the serpents head. Payment will be 500g upon completion, and 10g per 2 goblin ears brought back.

at the bottom you see
recommend party size: 1-3, Accept, Decline.

(there were 25 goblins in total. So you guys are due 750GP each I think)
The other one was for the folks that got jumped by a dragon.
