Embrianna |

Bri smiles excitedly at Astri. "We need to head into the Silk District to check out a tattoo parlor named "The Native's Delight'. Do you think we are looking suitable enough to do that today? I can't remember which of the districts have the stricter dresscodes."

Sorrin the Wayward |

Sorrin, catching himself gawking, clears the lump in his throat.
He addresses Embrianna. Why would you mar such perfect... alabaster skin?
Forgive me, Lady. I am Sorrin, Son of... no. Just Sorrin. I was on my way to find you when fate introduced me to your friends, whom I had no idea were your friends.
Idiot I am, what would uncle say... He blushes strongly for it to show through his slightly swarthy olive toned skin.

Embrianna |

Bri blinks in confusion, a bit thrown off from her excitement at finding the tattoo parlor. "Find me? Why?"
I really hope this isn't some one-night stand I've forgotten about. Those moments are always soooo awkward.

Sorrin the Wayward |

Sorrin looks into her eyes... entranced. Then snapping out of it.
The snake charmers at the bazaar back home.
Snapping out of it, Why?
I'd caught a glimpse of you the other day. As I watched, you had turned to avert your eyes from someone you conversed with, a few times. But in turning, you faced me in the distance.

Adriel Mistleaf |

Adriel laughs heartily at the proclamation, Ah, must the gods constantly curse me with competition for the affections the valkyries I travel with. With the dissapearance of David and Darius it seemed the only thing left was to batter asaide fained walls masking true lust. Nay it seems for Calistria has decided to send a True Heart to replace the scoundrals I called Rivals. His tone is flippant, the 'smart arse' in him was again in full flight.
Thrasher hisses at Sorrin, Continue our wandering, shall we? Sorrin, son of the desert can confess his undying affection on the way.
He looks 'Eyes' up and down, seemed a fitting enough name since she insisted on masqurading as a man.
Have YOU any business that needs tending, Friend?

Astrianna Sparacello |

Remember he did view bardic spells as lesser magic. Besides not everyone you meet warms up to each member of the group. NPCs will gravitate towards certain PCs more than others.
But my ludicrous diplomacy bonus! I demand everyone be my friend! Really though, I actually like that. Some disguises may be in order in the future...
Also what did they kill in the tattoo shop that makes that big of a rug?! Dire cow or something.
Astrianna grins at Embri's excitement, glad she isn't the only one who is having an excessive amount of fun shopping today. "Then let's go! We're in the Silk District right now, you're thinking of the Jade district. Last night I saw Thi' Ring had magical tattoos. Why get normal tattoos when they can be magical?"
The bard is quite interested in the exchange between Emrbianna and Sorrin, before she begins chuckling at Adriel's monologue. "Adriel, have you ever thought of going into theatre? That was a perfect speech, the crowd would love you for that one."

I might consider it one day, when I am too slow to properly wield a sword. Ladies are to easily won from a stage, Songbird, I prefer ones who challenge my ego and possess thier own hungers, strength and cunning. A quick tumble with some star stuck noble is all well and good for satisfaction of the body and sometimes the wallet, but that life and feigned battles hold to threat of Death. When I am fighting FOR something. That's joy. And legends based on truth make far better tales.

Astrianna Sparacello |

The bard does not seem entirely accepting of his motives for the stage. "It's not about what you gain from the stage, though fame is certainly not to be turned down. It's about expression of the playwright's vision, it's about sending a message, telling a time-honored story to show a slice of history. When on stage, you are the characters, you give them life and through you ancient peoples may once again walk Golarion, spreading their teachings or adding excitement to some bored housewife's life." She gives sweeping gestures as they walk, clearly caught up in the moment.
"On stage magic is mundane, the gods play a constant part of everyone's lives, heroes defeat insurmountable odds with little effort, only to be brought low not by a physical foe, but instead their own mind, their emotions, their heart..." The bard touches her chest at the mention.
"Within every play is a message to be taken home, an anecdote to be related! The play does not stop when the curtain falls, and while performances may be fleeting they are remembered for far longer than they run."
"Art is not about what you gain, but what you give. Without an audience, a song it but a lonely, unwritten poem."

Tulita Warrior, NPC |

"Magical tattoos? Oh we are totally getting some of those."
When you arrive at Native's Delight it is jammed pack with customers and folks simply loitering around telling stories. There are quite a few tutila in parlor and several are actually the artists.
"Wh't can I do you for?" The accented voice of a man asks. He has cut breaches that extend to his knees and a creamy white colored linen shirt that is open to his trimmed belly. His dreadlocks extend well past his shoulders. His chest shows a school of dolphins that appear to move with as the light hits.

Astrianna Sparacello |

Astrianna is quite delighted by the throng of people present. Even if she isn't going to get a tattoo, she feels there is a lot to be gained here.
Seeing an opportunity to practice her Tulita, the bard responds in the man's native tongue.

baldwin the merciful |

Those inside
Within the shop there is some chatter the most interesting is news that the Salty Dogs were in a bad scrap last night, several dead, but they got he final lick in when the dragoons came by.
Those outside
Three females approach you, wearing studded leater, black cowled cloak, and two daggers that you can see. They stop a moment, then ask, "Y'lookin' for somethin'..?" They are not threatening.

Sath Saltblood |

Sath looks at the Tulita's Dolphin tattoos and wonders if they have any function beyond decorative.
Sath, on further thought is considering getting a tattoo of a dolphin on one shoulder blade, a turtle on the other shoulder blade, and a whale down her spine.

Sorrin the Wayward |

With the others gone. I'm not competing for any affections. My... type is a bit more down to earth, shall we say? Mixing business with pleasure is bad business anyway.
Apologies for getting off to a bad start. You're loyal and protective, good qualities in a friend. Perhaps some day, we shall be.
Sorrin extends his arm for a warrior's embrace.

Adriel Mistleaf |

Adriel looks at the arm with a raised eyebrow and does not accept the embrace.
I have known you for all of 2 minutes. Let's forego shaking on anything till you have proven to be what you say you are. And I haven't seen you fight yet. As for affection, those two can bed whomever they please and they'll tell you the same, they are not so delicate. After we have been through a few scraps, if you are still alive, I'll call you friend.
The elf's tone is not dismissive, just matter of fact. Many represented themselves as altruistic, but few ever really were.

baldwin the merciful |

Sath: Tulita tattoos are limited to one unless you are a tulita PC and 7th level, then they can opt to forgo their 7th level bonus feat for a second tattoo.
there are three types of tattoos:
1. mundane tattoos (non-magical)
2. Magical tattoos
3. Tulita Tattoos (magical and limited to only 1)

Sorrin the Wayward |

You like correcting people or being smart, I'm not certain which. I never said we were friends and dainti-ness they could use more of. But, it's not my concern.
You stay fancy. I'll stay... real. If you go inside they'll let you watch. Sorrin smiles.

Adriel Mistleaf |

Adriel sighed. He had repeated this speech quite a bit with David.
I am a dick, Sorren. I am vain and honest to the point of offense for most people and I make no apologies for it. Those precious few people who prove to be honest about themselves earn my loyalty and I would kill for them. As long as you understand who I am we should have no problems
Astrianna Sparacello |

Tattoos can easily be removed with an Erase spell, so go nuts! If only tattoo removal in the real world was so easy :p
Astrianna is momentarily interested in the chatter going on. Who are the Salty Dogs...? But she turns back to the Tulita that greeted them to deal with the business at hand.
She makes her request in Taldan, just to make sure it's fully understood. The bard draws back her sleeve on her right arm. "Can you make a tattoo imbued with a Feather Fall spell? I was thinking a beautiful, magical bluebird's feather, right here on my wrist.."

Sorrin the Wayward |

Sorrin downplays his utter disgust, remembering the hashashin of is region of the world. Mental enslavement. I have a meeting with the Commander of the Dragoons, later... I will not mention this, if you get this poison out of my sight.

Adriel Mistleaf |

Sorrin listens. I will take solace in that we agree on something, bard.
Adriel laughs heartily, that the 3 girls running look back, Yes...we agree on something. And nice call on the dragonsmoke, but don't tell Astrianna, she'll set you on fire for turning down the opportunity. But we don't need to speak of this.

Embrianna |

"Oh it is so beautiful Astri. I was thinking for your next one, perhaps you could get a portrait of a songbird on the back of your shoulder."
Bri put her hand up to Emmy and lets her viper curl around her wrist and hand so that she can hold her out and show her to the inkmaster.
"Can you do a likeness of my little friend curling up around my leg?"

Tulita Warrior, NPC |

The inkmaster nods, several patrons glance over at the exposed thigh, as the man applies a cool wash. He drafts a faint image of the Emmy that curls around the thigh, it's head with little fangs resting at the upper inner thigh. He rhythmically taps the flesh apply and base of brice green, then he adds a layer of celadon, and dark sea green for shadow, with emerald making up the dangerous face for the serpent.
What spell do you want it inscribed with?

Astrianna Sparacello |

Embri, I posted the available Special Magical tattoos in the discussion, otherwise spell tattoos function as scrolls that only take a swift action to activate, cost 4 times the base scroll price, and vanish after their use. However you must be able to see the tattoo to activate it.
The Caster's Tattoo is phenomenal but very expensive.
Astrianna winces as the tattoo master begins inscribing her flesh, gritting her teeth as the sharp instrument digs under her skin.
She attempts to distract herself from the pain by listening to the conversations going on around the tattoo parlor.
Once finished, she sighs and flexes her hand, smiling at the beautiful, if slightly red and inflamed, tattoo. Astrianna grins at Embri, quite proud of it. "Isn't it beautiful? That is a fantastic idea! I would love one on my shoulder... this will satisfy me for quite some time, though."
The bard pays the man 100 carefully counted gold pieces, and then sits to watch the beginning of Embrianna's tattoo. She ends up getting restless mingling a bit with the other Tulita, practicing their language and making small-talk about her new tattoo, and their traditional art style.
The raven-haired half-elf also indulges her curiosity, and inquires about the Salty Dogs she heard mentioned before. "Pardon, but I heard you discussing a group called the Salty Dogs earlier...? What happened last night with them?"
Diplomacy/Gather Info: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35

Embrianna |

Well, since i don't want to have to flash everyone any time i want to activate a tattoo, the snake one will be mundane and I will get a magical one later, someplace more visible.

Tulita Warrior, NPC |

"h'rd they got in a bit of scrap wit a sailor. Sailor kilt 3 dogs and 4 Salty Dogs before getting himself arrested down near the Tides." You gather this Salty Dogs is a gang and they have actual dogs with them.
Another fellow interrupts, "Shyte git yer facts right it was 5 dogs and 7 Salty's...Rickard got 'imself away though, swore to pull the lever fer the noose, when they hang 'em high."
A third patron cheerfully adds, "Luv a guud hang'n haven't had one in two blasted weeks."
Another thing you notice is folks come here to socialize not just get tattoos, there are mostly regulars in the parlor all of who have tattoos of various sorts.

Tulita Warrior, NPC |

The inkmaster finishes the tattoo on Bri's leg, "30 gold." The depth and character of tattoo looks quite real and will certainly be a surprise to an invited guest. Especially if Emmy curls around the other thigh and moves...LOL.
After a couple of hours the group is ready to continue on towards the Tides...

Embrianna |

"Oh, it is absolutely beautiful and lifelike. I will definitely have come back another day and get another one done here."
Bri hands the inkmaster the gold for the tattoo.
"I was thinking of having an underwater seascape done on my back with the centerpiece of it being me, but as a mermaid. I know it is something that could take a while to finish, so I was wondering if I could schedule a day and time to have it done, or at least started."

Astrianna Sparacello |

Astrianna purses her lips as she hears the news. Sounds like the sailor did a number on that gang. Shame he got himself caught, might have tracked him down and made an ally out of him.
She socializes for quite some time among the crowd, picking up bits of information about the surroundings and the subtleties of life in Shaw.
The bard is quite impressed when Embrianna is finished with her tattoo. "Wow, Embri, that is incredible. I love it! I can't believe how realistic it looks..." She utters, inspecting the artistry closely. "We'll have to return again, these Tulita are incredibly skilled. The conversation here is fascinating as well, there are a lot of old salts here who have been all around the area."
Stepping outside with Embri, the bard tips her hat low against the sun. "Well gentlemen, now that we are even more beautiful than before, how about we get something to eat? The rest of my business is in the Tide today, we should head to the Run Aground Tavern and get something greasy while I try to track down Thalios Dondrel."

Astrianna Sparacello |

Going to wait to see if Sath is going to get any tattoos
Astrianna quirks an eyebrow. "Drug connection? What does that mean?"

Sorrin the Wayward |

We were approached by folks who asked if we wanted some dragonsmoke. They postured that they could easily provide a steady supply at a decent price.
How much more detail do you want and why do you care?

Astrianna Sparacello |

The bard sighs, putting two fingers to her temple and rubbing it while looking at the ground. "Damn it... I had been looking for an in for two days now, and one walks right up to you." She mutters.
Looking up, the bard looks at him dryily. "I care because I've been looking for some work for us to do. I could make plenty of money myself performing at taverns, but the rest of you are sailors and muscle. Frankly I enjoy some high-adrenaline work, and I take opportunities where I can find them."
