RD 2: Nightshade
The beast bites at Daniel,
bite, plus grab, shaken: 1d20 + 22 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 22 - 2 = 23;damage, shaken: 1d8 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 11 - 2 = 13
CMB v CMD: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (20) + 25 = 45
The beast then decides to play with the rogue behind it,
claw 1, shaken: 1d20 + 22 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 22 - 2 = 33;damage, shaken: 1d8 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 11 - 2 = 12
claw 2, shaken: 1d20 + 22 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 22 - 2 = 34;damage, shaken: 1d8 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 11 - 2 = 12

Current AC:29 vs Nightshade. Daniel knows it's and Outsider, and Andrea said undead. That was good enough for Daniel to assume evil as well. Please tell me it IS evil, right?

Gerard Nisroc |

The rogue is caught off-guard, deep gashes drawing blood and the chill of the shadow-void.
Daniel!! Kitty's got claws...
The daylight dagger slips from Gerard's seemingly weakened hand. His mind and will, still strong. Deftly, he draws a mirhral blade.

Daniel Arrisen |

Sweet. Smite NUKE!
Daniel thanks his goddess as his armor turns aside the bite. He 5ft steps to D14, into Flank with Gerard, and 2 handed full attacks the monster before him with HEAVEN'S RAZOR.
Inspired,Smite, Flank, BANE, PA full Attack: 1d20 + 17 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (2) + 17 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 - 3 = 27
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 6 + 3 + 22 + 2d6 + 2 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 6 + 3 + 22 + (1, 3) + 2 + 9 = 52
Smite, Flank, BANE, PA full Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (12) + 12 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 2 - 3 = 32
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 6 + 3 + 11 + 2d6 + 2 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 6 + 3 + 11 + (4, 4) + 2 + 9 = 48
The paladins blade HUMS with holy power as both the enchant of it's favored enemy AND Imoedae's power are channeled through the blade.
YOU. WILL. FALL!
THE FIRST attack vs evil undead/dragon/outsider does double Smite. So if that AC27 hits on the first attack, he takes 100 damage. If the AC27 missed then the second iterative does 59 damage instead.

Gerard Nisroc |

Gerard steps into the enemy, taking advantage of the Paladin's position.
...but, so do I!
atk1, mith dagger +1, wf, aff, flank, courage: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 14 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 40

Mithral counts as Silver, bypasses DR?

Daniel Arrisen |

I 5ft stepped to D14. Gerard has flanking right where he is! Rule is if you can trace a line through any of the friendly corners to bisect the enemy you have flanking. Will go find reference. ..
So all good. Draw a line through center of D14 to B17. That line crosses two opposite borders )one in the middle on my side and the corner of the border on Gerard side

Crap. Okay. .Gerard could DELAY his action till I move?

Daniel Arrisen |

Or he could Acro check to leap atop the barrels and attack? He would even get +1 to hit from high ground ;)

Gerard Nisroc |

Guess he could acro/tumble (move through threatened square) onto the barrels, draw an AoO and get 1 attack.
Acrobatics/tumble, boots: 1d20 + 25 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 25 + 5 = 38
Did I beat its CMD? I should also take -1 to hit (poison), but boots offer +2 if successful tumble... 41 to Hit.

Euphemia di Nereis |

Euphemia grimaces, but decides to chance the skeletons. She moves to D12, her eyes ablaze, and wills misfortune on the undead lion with all of her might.
Misfortune hex. DC 20 Will Save or(srd): The witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to suffer grave misfortune for 1 round. Anytime the creature makes an ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, it must roll twice and take the worse result. A Will save negates this hex. At 8th level and 16th level, the duration of this hex is extended by 1 round. This hex affects all rolls the target must make while it lasts. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

Orsino 'Orsin' Bessatte |

Sorry guys, I'm super sick (the second or third time this winter, ugh) and I slept through much of the day. Please DMPC me until I check back in again. Hopefully, I be well again tomorrow, since this has been day 2 of the chest cold during which time I've powered down Airborne, zinc, and oil of oregano. :/

Gerard just barely pulls his body outside of the pierce kitty's paw. he lands onto of barrel. He hits with his attack, the mithral bypassing the resistance. (34HP)

baldwin the merciful |

RD 2: Update
nightshade - missed bite on Daniel, two claws hit Gerard 24 HP
Orsin - hit one skeleton, Inspire courage +3
Gerard - tumbled to barrels for flanking, hit for 34 HP
Skeletons -
Andrea -
Euphemia -
Jarvis
Daniel
I'll take the skeleton's actions, then apply Phem's roll and Daniel's.

baldwin the merciful |

RD 2: Skeletons
The two remaining skeletons step back five feet each to converge on Daniel,
skel 1, flanking: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 = 20;damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
skel 3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17;damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
DC 18 Fort save if either hits.
dex damage for 6 RD: 1d2 ⇒ 1

Gerard Nisroc |

Opportunist Talent - As soon as Daniel lands an attack, Gerard gets an AoO (interrupting flow of action) against the Nightshade. Then Daniel gets his second attack. Weird, but I think that's how it would work.
AoO, mith dagger +1, wf, aff, flank, courage: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 13 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 = 30
dmg, mith dagger +1, aff, sneak, courage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 + 6d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 + (1, 2, 1, 4, 8, 2) + 3 = 24
Fortitude, Rd 2 vs. Poison: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Andrea rushes into C-12, willingly drawing AoO as needed so she can channel heal everyone.
Heal: 8d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 5, 4, 3, 3, 6) = 34
Get better soon, Orsin.

baldwin the merciful |

Andrea moves in and sends for the healing surge. No AOO you did not move out of a threatened square.
Phem the creature is undead it is immune to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, morale effects, phantasms, and patterns) does your Misfortune hex fall in that category?
Jarvis gathers up Frank.
Daniel hits the creature and 100 HP puts it down, then Gerard jumps on, followed by Daniel plunging his sword again.

Andrea1 |

Considering how much shadow is in this place, we might be better cracking the ground open and letting the sun shine in. Andrea looks around the corpse strewn room. I guess this is where they got cheap fodder for undead.
Misfortune hex didn't say anything particular, I will post the link.

Daniel Arrisen |

Daniel quickly bows his head in reverence, then looks up, at the rogue.
Your change in tactic surprises and concerns me Gerard. That was reckless. Skeletons I know are not much of a threat but this....thing, could have torn you apart. You are normally much more conservative. Be aware my Goddesses gifts are finite. This battle could have gone very bad had I not been able to reach you or were out of smites. We put ourselves at tactical disadvantage here, something that will cost us dearly against greater opponents
The paladin keeps his voice even, not wanting to start a confrontation now. And in truth he was more surprised that angry. Surly the rogue had his reasons...

Gerard Nisroc |

The rogue smiles reassuringly and meets Daniel's eyes. If I've been using a singular tactic, Daniel... I apologize.
This threat was great, agreed. Our action needed to be decisive. We would have lost a battle of attrition. The team was up to it. I had faith.
