Game Master baldwin the merciful

This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

Godsmouth Heresy is a good module for a 1st time GM. It can lead to a variety of other games and is set in a city so retreat and resupply isn't too hard.

Evil GM

My favorite module of all time was "The Shattered Gates of Slaughtergarde" which was a 3 module package lvs 1-6 by WoWC. My group only ran the first two modules, I interwove so much DM created homebrew material, that it looked nothing like the initial published module. It was unbelievable complex and with deep character development over several years of play. When we finished the party was 18/19th level. There were parts of that game which I wrote that could be published.

I have thought about running one scenario called "Wizards Peak" on the PbP board, but again time constraints did not make that possible.

Evil GM

I have something at my daughter's school won't be back on till 7ish.

Female Half Elf Urban Ranger / 7 and Wizard / 1 and Arcane Archer / 1 -- Perception: +18 in urban, +21 traps (otherwise +16) -- Init: +4 -- HP:49/59 -- AC: 23(Touch:15 / FF:19) -- F:7, R:11, W:5 +2vs enchants

Oh yeah, I would definitely stick with a module or my own homebrew one-shot rather than trying to do a full AP.

The choice between a module and home-brew is a tough one. On one hand you're free to take the game however you want and on the other there is a good bit of work already done for you.

Wanna give Godsmouth a try? We all know your post habits so we'd be cool if it fell over.

I might switch up roles, since I'm pretty much a self buffing melee char.

A summoner or Crossblooded (Orc/Draconic bloodline) sorcerer who nukes everything would be cool.

I'll have to do some searching and see which ones my husband might still have on his computer.

Anyone try out shore to sea module?

Sounds like it could be interesting to run in a Lovecraft style.

I have not tried it. I'd like a Lovecraft style.

I might have to go watch 'Dagon' again to get into the mood. It is actually a decent Lovecraft adaptation.

Not too hot on Lovecraft or all the other grimdarky stuff. Need more upbeatness.

The lil s&%%s are going to rock our world when we are in a bad place. Have u ever dealt with fey? I bet these things are their evil twins.

While I do like my world rocked on occasion, I believe in doing anything and everything possible to avoid fighting fae. If we gotta put some stuff back on a horse that none of us would ever use anyway, then so be it.

Your really putting the stuff back on the horse? I thought you were bluffing.

I am just worried they are going to get us in close quarters when we are in trouble. They are obviously stealthy! The little teddy bear is probably a L12 assassin or something with like 10d6 sneak attack ;)

Andrea prefers whipped cream and berries in the sensitive places.

You're very cynical for an elf.

Aren't elves supposed to be jolly? Why aren't you jolly?!

I need to log off I have busy day tomorrow, especially in the afternoon. I should be able to post something in the morning then my day gets hectic.

Oh yeah.

Halfway finished through the Lucrezia portrait!!!

Right now, she looks like a blue sea elf who's also a supermodel. I'm gonna see what I can do with the shading to make her look less done-up, but at the moment, she kind of looks like the exact opposite of a strong female role model... :/

If you've seen my gallery, you'll notice that I don't draw a whole lot of women, so when I do, they start off looking like really butch drag queens only to get catapulted to the opposite end of the spectrum at which point they look like they're styled by Guess and have a show on The CW.

Lucrezia, on a scale of 1 to 10, how opposed are you to that "model lip pout" where the lips are slightly parted and whorish?

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Yay! Can't wait to see it. Get your Diplomancer skills on so we can get ourselves some new friends.

We can just say that Lucrezia was looking off towards Truk while she was posing and that will explain any whorish looks?

Evil GM

I will be logging off for the early afternoon. I should be back by late afternoon.

Reading the Shore to Sea module and am quite amused to see that Dagon is mentioned in it. Definitely had to be written by a Lovecraft fan.

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Just something that came to mind that we will need to deal with when heading down the trapped stairs, will we need to make Acro/Dex checks? If so, then John should get out of his armor and we can Aid Another to help each other down. Best we get this figured out before hand so the delays are minimal.

Lucrezia can also see if she can disarm the trap.

Evil GM

I had something unexpected come up tonight, I chat tomorrow.

Evil GM

I've received a concern about the overall graphic detail that I use in describing the action in game play. I put a great deal of effort into describing scenes to enhance everyone's, including my own, gaming experience. I actually think that separates my GM style from others on the board. It's not just rolling the dice bot and a line of description. Is this something that is bothering others in the game?

I am enjoying this game thoroughly. PBP is extremely hard to get everything perfect with people posting at different times and difficulty tracking movement. I think you do better than anyone I have played with and I appreciate the time and effort you spend running this!

Fire Resist 10 Human Cleric 6,HP 40/40,Init+5F6R4W9,Per10AC18/11/17

Same here. I am getting a bit tuckered out with Book 3 since we are on the home stretch it seems.

John-Unless you END your turn adjacent to the pit, you can walk right by it without difficulty. I am not sure if he will be able to take an AOO or not since he is in the pit. Even if he does, you could take the AOO for the rest of us so we can go help the others if you want.

Heck, you could reach creature 1 in round 1.
