Getting round to this imminently - life a little busy right now, so I'm doing the easy stuff first. Which isn't this.
Male Human Expert 5
I'm going to Phoenix for a little vacation. I'm traveling today, so I won't be around for a day and a bit.
I'm kind of hoping either the bears or the giants (or both) will come charging through the wall of lightning on their turns but, if not, I'll let the wall go on my next action.
Of course, if someone wants to slap some energy resistance on themselves and charge through it, the damage from the wall isn't really that high.

I'm going to be on holiday from this Friday until the following Sunday. I won't have access to the internet in that time.

Flying back to Oslo today. With time changes, jetlag and all that, I'll probably be out of commission until Monday.

Sorry if I haven't been updating as frequently as I should. It's just that the weather has been OK and I've been gardening, and when I come back in I'm knackered. But don't worry, it looks like summer is over.
NOW IN TECHNICOLOR!
I've been busy as all getout myself of late; I know the feeling.
The summer of my life is almost over.
I'm trying to do a little balcony gardening here. One day I will get bougainvillea growing up the balcony rail/fence. Until then I mostly just kill one or two a year. We do a little better with herbs.

Away for the weekend until Sunday afternoon.

To let you know, we are packing up our bicycles for few days on a rail-to-trail in Iowa. I don't know how much Internet access we will have over the next week, so please don't let Sefayll hold things up - please feel free to take actions on her behalf. Have a great Memorial Day (if you are in the States) and a great week (wherever you might find yourself)!

Have a nice time.
Sorry for being quiet the last week or so - busy at work and busy at home.

This is quite an interesting tactical situation. This wouldn't faze the Eberron party so much as Janosz is a monster at range. You aren't so well set up for this sort of fight with this party.

Advance warning - I'll be on holiday for about eleven days from Friday. I won't have any internet access.

Lot's of holidays recently Aub's. Sounds nice!
I never thought I'd have to say this before, but Vethran is actually running out of fireballs this fight...

I have Vital Strike, and I'm hasted. Do I get TWO big vital strike-type blows, or do I get one big vital strike and then a regular attack from Haste?
No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30
Neither. You can have a full attack or you can have a move action and a vital strike. Sweep this 3.0 thinking from your mind - Haste hasn't done what you suggest for the best part of a decade.
Male Human Expert 5
Aha!
I didn't misunderstand Haste, I've misunderstood Vital Strike. Enlightenment!

I'm going camping in the early hours of tomorrow for 10 days. I'll almost certainly be off grid for all that time, although I do have WiFi down there, so I may check in.
Please take Camlo's actions at appropriate points!

I will try. Once I overcome the fact that TSB have swapped my debit card for an ATM only one in preparation for the split up of the bank....
No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30
That's kind-of insulting - you are considered so bad with money they'll only let you spend the cash you can carry. As a bank regulator, I'd like to help, but...
Wintergreen's CE PA IT Geek 10/Daddy 9/Physicist 3/Cartographer 1/Runner 3/Cub Scout Leader 2/Musician 1
LOL, as far as I can see it's either a mistake, or it's a temporary measure while LloydsTSB and TSB decide what's happening and who gets my account......
I probably *am* considered that bad with money, but at this point, it just means that my money will be moving to another bank every month while I get it sorted.
Rule 1: Always have an account at another bank.
Wintergreen's CE PA IT Geek 10/Daddy 9/Physicist 3/Cartographer 1/Runner 3/Cub Scout Leader 2/Musician 1
Ha! Actually, they've sent the atm card for a savings account. So they've just managed to cancel the debit cards on a live account without us actually receiving the replacement cards..... Useful.

It sounds like someone has been training and planning for some time to reach this level of ineptitude. You should be thankful that you're not being helped by someone that will do a mediocre job of screwing things up.
Nothing like trying to determine if they are completely incompetent or just careless today...
I agree with the having money in another bank. I do a lot of work for a non-profit that has just finally started to get a reasonable bank balance - and we have funds in at least three different institutions. Diversification is part of it, but it's a big part of it.
No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30
Diversification is a fundamental of risk management. I'm a bank regulator, I know these things.

Sorry about not updating - busy on Tuesday and couldn't actually get on the site on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll manage something today.
No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30
Sorry for the delay. Been a bit distracted and - don't know if I was the problem of if it was the site itself - I couldn't tell anyone had posted.

Just to let you know, I'll be on holiday from Saturday for a week (yes, another holiday - but the last for a while). There is a teeny chance I'll be able to update in that time, but it really is teeny.
On a cool note - if Linkedin is to be believed, Vatters now has a job as a consultant in international relations. Though I'm sure he'll miss his easy-pull-off tie.
Yay Vatters!
And I'm not going to begrudge anyone their holiday time - I take a lot of three-day weekends, so my downtime is just less obvious. Enjoy!

Just saw off the movers. My flight to Phoenix leaves tomorrow morning; tonight I plan on getting hammered with friends I suspect I won't see again for years and years. So I'll see you guys again when the hangover and jetlag subsides in a few days.
Male Human Expert 5
And then I'm back in Phoenix. Man, it's hot here... Give me a few days to reacquaint myself with my family, and I'll get back to posting here as well.

Headed out on vacation for a week and I am not sure what my access will be like yet. Bot me as necessary. Thanks!

Looks like I should be able to post at least daily. Carry on!
Sorry about my recent absence. I started a new job this week and they offered me "as much overtime as I can handle" so naturally I've chosen to work back-to-back 66 hour weeks.
We don't have access to Paizo from the new job's network sooo... I'm going to be scarce until this new application rollout completes (at least a couple weeks). Apologies to all.
male Human Shoanti Fighter 10 xp 80962
Damn. That's more than I work.
Wait, there's 66 hours in a week? One week? ;-)
Just crazy, man. I hope you are paying down debts or socking it away for a rainy month.

Well, a crazy job is better than no job in the current environment. Chin up, old chap.
Wuss. ;) I was doing 112-115 hours a week for two months when this bakery opened and I vanished for a while. Sadly that does not increase my pay beyond the 48 hours on paper.
Congrats on the new job though Fates. :) And on the opportunity to bank a little loot while you're at it.
Aubrey the Malformed wrote: Well, a crazy job is better than no job in the current environment. Chin up, old chap. Too true. This all has made me realize how blessed I am to have a non-exciting but stable source of employment through all this. *knocking on wood that it remains so*
Don't get me wrong, this is entirely voluntary. I *could* if I were so inclined, work normal 40 hour weeks through this. But when the company gives you the chance for 26 hours of overtime (at 150% pay of course), you've gotta take that leap. 3 years of off-and-on unemployment has taught me to sink my teeth in like a rabid wolverine and shake it violently until money comes out.
Lol, I love the description and I totally get what you say - that's why I said I hope you are using the bounty to catch up or build an emergency fund. I'm glad you have the opportunity.
