Sorry about my lack of posting recently - I've been packing in overtime before going on vacation. I'll be going back to Arizona for a week or so before taking Easter off back home in Norway; right now it's all about cleaning, packing and traveling, but I should be posting more or less normally again from Tuesday onwards.

Wait... did Alwyn seriously just essentially challenge Vethran to a pissing match over who has the more powerful spells? I like that he chose to one-up Vethran's 2nd-level web with a 5th-level wall of thorns. Haha! This should be fun...
I have a line that I really want to use now:
"Stick to the sermons, Shoanti, and leave the magic for the real men."
BWAHAHAHAHHA! That would probably get him thrown off the ledge...

He so should do that ... or not ...

Hey Aubrey, I have an 8-hour layover at Heathrow on Wednesday. My plane lands around 1300 and leave again at 1920. I can easily jump on the Tube and zip downtown, so do you want to meet up for some brews and a sarnie while I wait?
The timing's slightly awkward but I can pop out of work and have a late lunch, and my diary is empty for Wednesday. Where do you suggest? Clearly, you need to get back in time for your flight, so somewhere in the West End might be best, probably near the Piccadilly Line. How about Green Park (since I can get there on the Jubilee Line from Docklands) about 3.00-ish? And are you going to be in human form or were-weasel hybrid-form?

Green Park at 3 o'clock sounds good. I'll try to be by the Jubilee Line platform coming from Canary Wharf. I'm 6'3" with thinning hair and a sunburn, and will be wearing tan pants and a blue hoodie saying "ARIZONA" - i.e. I should resemble a human.
I've also sent you a private message with my phone number in case you want to send me a text message.

Anybody with sunburn should stand out in London in April, notwithstanding the nice weather in March we had. That said, why don't you head for the ticket hall/entrance hall at Green Park instead since we'll be heading in that direction anyway. I'll be somewhat shorter that 6'3" and with glasses, probably wearing a half-sleeve shirt and maybe a blue fleece. I'll send you my mobile number too.

Hey guys,
Apologies for my unexpected absence over the past few days. For those who haven’t heard, I abruptly lost my job earlier in the week. Times are going to be tough for a bit – my wife has just started working for three days a week after coming off 18 months maternity leave, so we fortunately have some income, but we pretty much burnt through our savings over the past 18 months so … hopefully I will find something soon. My industry is starting to be pretty badly affected by the financial uncertainty in Europe and elsewhere, but I’m sure something will come up. Circumstances may keep me away from Paizo more than normal though – not sure yet. Apologies in advance for any upcoming delays or slow downs. Please act for my character where required, or forgive slow GM updates as the case may be.
Anyway, this post is not meant to air my misery or garner sympathy, it is to express wonderment and heartfelt thanks to this fantastic community. Some far too generous person or persons who chose to stay anonymous have sent me a likewise far too generous gift certificate to help me keep up my AP subscription during this time. I can’t know for certain, but I suspect the person (or persons) is either a FAWTLy and / or in one of my pbp games. If you were behind this, thankyou so much, it is truly fantastic of you.
Cheers,
Luke

Hey Mothy, really sorry to hear about your problems. It seems we are all suffering a bit at the moment with the economic situation. Hopefully something will come up soon.

We're going to northern Spain - near Santander. We are taking the ferry from Portsmouth, which will be interesting - 24 hours in a cabin with an under-two. I don't know who will crack first, but I suspect it won't be him. Still, probably better than having him physically strapped to me for four hours plus when we went to the Canaries by plane in January.

Hey all, many apologies for my unexpected absence. This whole job hunting thing is tedious and depressing, and I’ve found myself getting easily distracted from it. At the beginning of last week I decided to buckle down, promised myself that I would not log on to Paizo until I had sent out some letters, made some job applications and finished up my portfolio … well, what I had estimated I would get done in about two days stretched out to more than a week.
Anyway, I’m back now and will try to catch up soon. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Yup. Sat in a detacenter, as I was until 8:15 last night, so yeah, pretty busy!
I need to catch myself up on the Dark Sun game and post for Jareen, and then a bit of something for Camlo here, but he's again, pretty much following along, hence being quiet since the combat finished....

Yeah; Aub; my Norwegian zoned friend Vatnisse......what's typically good times for you guys on the weekends?.....during the work week it's pretty much hosed I reckon. If I get home from work by 6 pm here, it's midnite where you are; and I can't usually be relied on to sit down in front of my computer til 7 pm.........

If you are trying to figure out how to meet up at the same time, from my experience sometime around noon eastern in the US on a weekend works pretty well.
It would be 11am for Heath. 5pm for Aubrey and 6pm for Vatnisse.
Entirely depends on how everyones' schedules work individually, but when I was running PFS online that starting time give or take an hour seemed to work pretty well at bridging the Atlantic.

I wouldn't worry about it - I don't really have the time to spend to sit down for any length of time, so it'll be bitesized chunks through the day. We can crawl on in usual fashion - it's been five years, I'm used to it now. In fact, the idea of speeding things up gave me palpitations.

I am finally re-employed! Still settling in at work, today was my second day on the job. Once I'm settled in, I suspect I'll be more regularly updating here. Sorry for being so intermittent these last few weeks. Lots of stuff going on lately. New house, new job, daughter just graduated kindergarten, etc.
Phew!
