You awake to find yourself in a cell that is barely accommodating to your body. It is minimal in the extreme only having a cot that comes out of the wall. There is an opaque force field in front of you revealing only distorted shadowy forms patrolling past your cell. If they can hear you, they ignore you and any attempt to handle the force field only ends in pain.
As the hours go by you become hungry and just as you think it, food is dispensed from a small panel that forms from the wall. Once you take the mushy substance, that actually doesn't taste have bad, the panel disappears as soon as it arrives. Similar things occur when other bodily functions are required.
After several days of isolation and horrid dreams of being examined by strangers, the force field opens and robotic guards seize you with tasers and chains of pure energy. They escort you out of the cell and put you in a sort of court yard with others chained as you. Beings of all types are here, known, and unknown.
Hi all! I am Starfinder GM and I intend to run a PbP game when the game comes out. One of the things PbP suffer from is lack of commitment. So I have an idea to maybe remedy that. I am going to let anyone and everyone that wants to play in this game until the release of the actual game. If you can post once a day after Friday until then, you are in the running for consideration when the game is released. So Roleplay! Have fun! I will post discussion and game tab soon.

What do you think of a half-human, half-android cyborg type? I could move it to one or the other when the game comes out if that isn't allowed.
... I'll just go for it since you said have no concern for rules, but if you personally don't want a cyborg in your game, just tell me and I will change it.

For races, anything in the First Contact FRPG day supplement is allowed, I covered that in the character generation spoiler. For cyborg it might depend on what you want augmented. I have a feeling they may treat augments as items, but if not we can figure something out if you post quality responses often enough. Understand that any augment you have only provides basic functionality currently, it will be interesting to see if they touch on that subject in the core rulebook and how to possibly increase them.

Makes sense. If they don't allow it, it can just be flavor for the backstory. I was just asking because it isn't there, but I wanted to try something like that... but I can just be human underneath for now, or take a dip in nanite sorcerer (if they have something like that) to represent the mods.
I made an alias with a backstory and posted, and can flesh it out more after work.

Sounds good. I was just pointing it out in case you missed it. I have always liked Cyborgs, Jet from Cowboy Bebop is one of my all time favorites.

Good catch, yes the "core" races also. Should they change from the current perceived versions we will find something accommodating.

I will be entering a soon as I get a backstory written up as an android mechanic whose exocortex is a somewhat insane AI which was originally one of the past androids to inhabit my character's body, but tried to preserve their mind by moving it to a separate computer in the same body before renewing.
