Let's say you have to spend 1 hold to shift from animal form to animal form, but add what remains to your new roll. If you fail your roll, but still have hold left over, you're still able to shift, but with negative consequences decided by me.

Even if I fail normally, it reads as I still shift because I get 1 hold, though you decide some consequence for me.

Oh, thought you should know I'm considering running this sometime for one of my real life groups. I feel it would be a very good fit for them. I might just have to make Stormwings for DW. :) Even if I decide to go the Grim World direction.

My apologies for poor posting frequency the last few days. Work and work travel are making it tough to do the important stuff. GM for the next week, please feel free to bot my character as needed. I'll try to keep up to date but it's going to be difficult.

Would the deal Olivius just offered be concidered a Con that could be bond-forming with Hawke?

I would say it could be a bond, maybe not a con. Bonds are dependent on the character interaction, not fulfilling a specific criteria.

Froggy and all, I've decided that I must drop out of the game. The real world is going to continue to interfere with my ability to game for quite some time unfortunately and it's not fair to the rest of you for me to be deadwood.

In other news, while work has been very rough, things look like they might finally getting better, even just a little. This weekend is the Con I've been planning to attend for months and my costume is in the home stretch of being finished. Really looking forward to it, even if I won't have much time to post while there.

Also, it seems Sinathel is still denied a level, because it looks like I only gained 2 xp this time, leaving me at one short.

Bah, I meant Pel (the volcano goddess), not Kali. Don't know how I got the two confused. Sorry if I'm laying on Kano's tribal dialect a bit thick. Hope it's still coherent.

May I use the "level up" move now, or would you like me to wait?

Is that Bond XP + 2 XP or just 2 XP? Wanted to be sure I understood that right and didn't just assume with my brain in con recovery mode. And, as Olivius asked, may I use the Level Up move or do I need to wait?

Both of you can level up here in the village, while you have time to rest. Your valor in battle against the salamanders has certainly convinced most of the tribesfolk of your worth, so unless Kano says otherwise you all are welcome here. This is one of those instances where I'm allowing for a little time to catch a breath, since the campaign has been moving along at a pretty good clip story-speaking.

Now... decisions, decisions. I'm debating between Thing-Talker and Communion of Whispers. Both fit Sinathel, and I plan to take them both, just need to decide which to take now and which to take later... Any thoughts?

While expressing my approval for both choices, I will comment that without meaning to, I have been throwing a lot of elemental-themed creatures at you. Thing-talker would be an interesting plot device for those scenarios.

Plus, then I can shift into all sorts of neat things ^^

Going with Thing-Talker so I can became a version of the Swamp Monster! And a few other fun ideas i have as well :)

You may indeed. Though the plants seem different, your years of experience lead you to the plants that show signs that they are extremely dangerous, and you harvest them over the course of an hour or two.

I'm sorry for the delay on my part. I'll be getting caught up tonight.

I've been, and still am, sick this week. Got back from traveling to catch a cold or something. :(

I've managed to get caught up and get back into the flow of things. Sorry about my delay. If Hawke finds some time, he'll probably try and do some trading with the villagers. You know, with his futuristic weapons and jewelry. Who knows, maybe he'll even ask Kano about the Elemental Lodestone he is still packing around.

Cool, just waiting on everybody's responses to things, and then Kano will go and commune for guidance and getting his spells back.

Just thought we'd do a quick Q&A session/meet and greet first so he doesn't have to call them Foreigner 1 and Foreigner 2.

Well since it seems like everyone is waiting on everyone else, I posted again.

Last night, I ran dungeon world for the first time. No one besides me had played before. It was a large group, eight at one point. It was a success. Everyone wants to continue. :)

We are using Grim World with it too. I can't wait to run it again.

Well, I didn't describe it quite that big, but upon seeing that picture, I had to retcon. It's truly colossal.

I like that imagery, makes it more foreboding.

What time is it supposed to be? (In game, I'm not that confused) I'm asking because Sinathel's and Olivius' posts don't seem to be located chronologically in the same place. Not saying that there's anything wrong with that, just wanting to know if it's intentional before going to muck things up with my own posts.

I was expecting a few threads to spin off in different directions. Such is the way of things when we're in a town and people can pursue individual goals. I encourage it, even if it's a little bit confusing. Specifying what time of day you're posting in will help for the duration of our stay in the Ku's village, I think.

Just a heads up, tomorrow (7/25) thru next Tuesday (7/29) I'm on vacation. While I do have internet, I don't know how much time I'll have to post.
