How to create your PFS character for PbP

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Please, provide the following information about your character:

PFS number: (example 134452-1)
Dayjob: (example [dice=Dayjob Profession (trapper)]1d20+5[/dice])
Description: Brief description about what your character is, what is his personality when playing, and what are his main skills and tactics other players can rely upon.

You can also add a brief description of yourself and your roleplaying experience if so you desire.

This is also the place to ask now or during the game any expectation about the scenario, check for doubts and clarifications, or inform about more than a couple of days absence periods (if you know beforehand you will not be able to post during next day, you can leave some actions pre-stated). It is understood and expected the game staggers during weekends, but at least 1 post per day during the rest of the week is expected.

Dark Archive

Female Human Investigator/1 | HP 9/9 | AC: 15 /T: 11 /FF: 14 | F: +1 /R: +3/ W: +2 | CMB +2 | CMD +13 | Speed 30 | Init. +1 | Perc. +4 | S.M. +4 |

PFS Number: 125153-3
Dayjob: Dayjob Profession (Craft:Alchemy): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

Description:A no-nonsense woman of Chelaxian descent, Helen's primary concern is to make sure that nothing escapes her notice. She's a coordinator and planner more than a combatant, but if pressed, she'll try to stay at range and make use of a longspear to aid sturdier combatants. That said, she doesn't like getting her hands dirty.

More often than not, Helen will be using manipulation and fact-gathering to her advantage. It's unlikely she'll fight the White Dragon herself, but she'll try and ensure that her allies know to use fire, toss out the fact that the Dragon was once beaten by a few Goblins with alchemist's fire to embarrass it and throw it off its game, and convince the Dragon's underlings to stop working for such an overgrown lizard.

Hey Rutseg, don't know for sure, but there wasn't any tabs up top to get here from the recruitment page. So you might want to drop a link back there so others can get here.

PFS Number: 108064-4
Dayjob: Nope

Description: Argus is a stocky and ruff looking dwarf. His large knuckles are scars upon scars and his nose looks as if it's been broken more times than even healing magic could fix. A strange looking toothpick is always present in his mouth.

He revels in the close combat, doing his best to meet the opponent head on. He will change tactics depending on the information he has.

Description: Dailung.... or little dragon is a Kitsune raised in Andor. Like many Kitsune she is playful and loves live to the fullest, but also a staunch ally to her friends. Although she is quite dimutive and charming to boot, she is by no means dumb. She knows it will take all her guile in the real world. She dresses in green and golden with her little straightsword next to her.

PFS #: 89635-4
Day Job: none

Silas is a religious zealot. He thumps his holy book The Acts of Iomedae at every opportunity, and says in no uncertain terms that anyone who doesn't follow his Lady is clearly wrong. He takes Iomedae's code of conduct seriously, though almost anything done in the name of the Greater Good can be called virtuous. His combat style of choice is the sword and shield. Although he carries a bow, he sees its use almost as a necessary evil; if the longsword was good enough for his goddess, it's good enough for him.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I have been told there will be special boons for some players at the end of the Gameday. They have provided me with instructions to roll a 1d20 for each players and you will get a boon if the roll is a natural 1 or 20.
As they want the GM's to make the rolls, I will make them in recruitment order at the end of the scenario for them to be as much fair as possible.

In case you have any doubt let me know and I will try to communicate with the people in charge for the event.

Additionally, I plan to make an small audit of all the characters. Thus, if you are all that kind to write down explanation for the most obscure bonuses in your sheets and provide links to your powers and special abilities, you will help out my work.
Thanks!

PD: Be aware the Gameplay thread is up and running!

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Those of you new to PbP games or the Paizo forums, will find useful the following links:

I have added them to the top part of the campaign bar. I will place there also any map we need during the adventure.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Wizard/1| AC 13 [17] T 13 FF 10 | HP 6/8 |Fort +1 Ref +2 Will +3 | Per +6 | Init +2 |HotA 5/6

PFS # 150456-1

Day job: Hedge wizard?

Ardain is from Ridonport, in Taldor. His family is well to do, enough to have provided Ardain with a top notch education. The young wizard spent his allowance on travel. Now he finds himself in Varisia, and low on money.
Tactics: Try to use color spray on massed opponents. Use his longsword for Hand of the Apprentice attacks. Acid splash.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

In general I follow a very reactive approach as a GM. Thus I usually wait for players initiative about what to do next without commenting about the options other than describing the current place. Perhaps you are used to GM's that moves the party more automatically around.

If you want me to give more clues or more actively ask you for actions, please let me know. Additionally, if any of you finds himself or herself clueless about what are you doing here or what is expected from you to do at any point, please, state it clear so the others can say if they have same problem, and if none has, I can try to give hints or make the action move somehow.

What I don't want is us to stagger waiting ones to the others :)

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Does anyone want to play this weekend with this character?
We are close to the end and I might prepare the chronicles for friday night.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Wizard/1| AC 13 [17] T 13 FF 10 | HP 6/8 |Fort +1 Ref +2 Will +3 | Per +6 | Init +2 |HotA 5/6

I normally check my games in the mornings and in the evenings, on the weekend. Weekdays I only check in the evenings, because of work.

Silver Crusade

Attack:

I'll most likely be checking and posting over the weekend, yea. When, I can't say.

I have nothing going on this weekend.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Congratulations, you have gone through the Kalkamedes scenario quite successfully :)

So then, here it comes the chance for you to get a boon for the Gameday 3 event. In order of recruitment.

Boon Rolls:

GM: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Shagruk: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Argus : 1d20 ⇒ 10
Dailung: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Silas: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Helen Karakis: 1d20 ⇒ 9 <- Not even remember at what point she dropped!
Ardain: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Boon of players choice on a natural roll of 1 or 20
**Re-Rolls not allowed on boons**

But that brings us not 1 but 2 boons!
Congratulations Shagruk and Ardain! :)

I need you to decide between one of these 3 boons before reporting:

Adopted Weapon Training: You have spent an extended period of time training in a culture other than your own, and as a result, you have learned that population’s weapon styles to the exclusion of all others. You gain the weapon familiarity racial trait of one of the following races: dwarf, elf, gnome, halfling, or half-orc. This specialization comes at a price, and you suffer a –1 penalty on attack rolls made with manufactured weapons other than those granted by any weapon familiarity racial traits you possess. You ignore this penalty when using a weapon that benefits from any Weapon Focus feat or weapon training class feature you may have.

Ancestral Ally: Golarion’s many cultures have traditions of animal husbandry and cooperation that date back millennia, and you have embraced one of your people’s favored companion creatures. If you have the divine bond or mount class feature, instead of choosing an animal companion from the list provided in the class description, you may instead call a mount from the list below so long as you are a member of the corresponding race. If the animal companion statistics for your race’s mount are found in a source beyond the Core Assumption, the source is listed below. You must bring a copy of the listed book to all games in which you use the selected animal companion as though access to the animal companion came from the Additional Resources list.

If an asterisk follows an animal companion option listed below, the animal already appears on the list provided by your class description, and you are at least 4th-level, you may spend 5 Prestige Points to strengthen your bond with that type of animal. This increases your effective druid level as one higher when determining the animal companion’s bonus HD, natural armor bonus, Strength and Dexterity bonuses, bonus tricks, and special abilities. This boon cannot increase your effective druid level more than one level above your actual character level.

Dwarf: badger*, boar
Elf: bird*, elk (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 3)
Gnome: badger*, giant weasel (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 4)
Halfling: dog*, ram (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 2)
Half-Elf: A half-elf may choose from the elf and human lists.
Half-Orc: camel*, bear; a half-orc may also choose from the human list.
Human: bird*, horse*

Custom Order: You have a special contract with an ammunition crafter, and you are able to order small batches of specialty ammunition as a result. Choose either a +1 or +2 ranged weapon enchantment. You may purchase +1 [enchantment] pieces of ammunition in sets of 10 instead of sets of 50. Once you choose the weapon enchantment, you may only change the enchantment type by spending 4 Prestige Points.

I am currently working on the chronicles while Silas finishes up the scenario. You will have them available soon enough.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

I can assume you Ardain will get the elf Adopted Weapon training to save that Martial Proficiency feat on longsword, and you Shagruk the Ancestral Ally :)
But it is just a guess/advise, so please let me know about your final decision.

You can find here your Chronicles.

Please, let me know if there is any error on them.

Once I have your boon selection and your email, I will report the game and it will appear in your sessions in a couple of days.
I only need the email for those of you that got a boon, Shagruk and Ardain.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

So that's all folks! :)

Very well done! You saved the princess, I meant, the ghaelle, or shall I say Kalkamedes? ^_^

I hope you all had fun, it was a nice game. Now that the boon people has send me their emails, I will proceed to report to the coordinator. I hope he will report the game in the incoming days.

As for the scenario, please, feel free to ask any question about doubts you might have of what has happened, or what would has happened if you had done X or Y, or what was certain thing you didn't fully grasp before.

Yeah it was a fun game. Found it funny how the wizard was doing better than the brawler on some of those grapple checks.

So just curious, was there a way we could have released the demon guy?

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Yes, you could have just broken the circle. He would have killed tif ghaele and left you alive but failing the mision.

Thanks you too for this nice game!

Merry X-mas.... everyone!

P.S. Could you please put it on inactive?

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Sure, I usually wait some days to make sure everybody has picked their chronicles.
