Numeria has a long history of mystery and wonder buried under its rugged landscape, for on that one fateful night thousands of years ago, the Rain of Stars scarred the land. The fragmented remnants of a ship from beyond the stars fell from the sky, scattering strange technological ruins and deadly perils across the land. Today, these sites are feared by the barbaric tribes and coveted by the sinister spellcasters of the Technic League. Yet something worse than brutish berserker or super-science wizard has risen to power in these hidden technological halls. The Iron Gods are ready to make their presence known, and if they are not opposed by the region’s newest heroes, a scourge unlike any the Inner Sea has seen will arise! From small Numerian towns to strange technological ruins to the region’s infamous capital of Starfall—and perhaps beyond—the Iron Gods Adventure Path will take your heroes into places unlike any seen before in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game!

Character Creation Rules
·Stats are 2d6+6 or 20-point buy
·HP is max at all levels
·All Paizo official classes allowed (Summoners must be Unchained though)
·All core races plus Aasimar, Android, Changeling, Dhampir, Ifrit, Oread, Sylph, Tiefling, and Undine
·Characters must have three traits, one being a campaign trait found in the Iron Gods Player's Guide and the others being any Paizo official (though they can't be from the same listing, such as to combat traits, two magic traits, etc.), no drawbacks or feats to increase the number of traits
·Character wealth is max for class, but no feat or trait may be taken to increase this
·A small background must be provided (minimum of 4 sentences, maximum of 20), and I would also like a small description of what your character looks like
·I will not be using background skills, but all classes with 2+Int skill points/level now get 4+Int skill points/level
·No evil characters and no worshipping evil deities, demi-deities, etc

I'm looking for 4 players for this adventure. Recruitment will remain open until May 1 and the game will start shortly thereafter once final selections are made.

Well poop. Still better than 20-point buy. Thinking Android Brawler that is a remnant of the Starfall. Was originally a defense unit but the crash ruined his memory. Now he's somehow been reactivated and is trying to figure out what he is. Speaks like Legion.

Dang, nice spread of numbers there, huh? Not so good for Hurley, but remember you can also go 20-point build as well if you don't like your spread (you can't, however, move numbers around outside of racial adjustments for your rolls, folks).

@Alexgndl - No, if you want the alternative Tiefling and Aasimar heritages you can just select them. If you want the alternative powers you must roll here and you can pick 2 appearance listings to modify their look.

I'd prefer actual core Pathfinder rules, though I may allow some of the 3rd party things since they are sorta right there on the website.

No, I meant to say you can't take you 18, lower it to 15 and use the points to add to another stat. You can assign your rolled stats as you see fit.

I think I should upgrade it 25 since most everyone is blowing past that quite readily. Yeah, I'll set it to 25 points now if your rolls don't add up. As for young characters I'm going to say no, but if you want an older character I'll allow up to old age but not venerable. And no Templates, please.

Dammit! I had an idea based off an Android I was playing in a WotR PbP that went under. The initial character concept was that the character actually had multiple 'personalities' active as a consequence of trauma suffered to the cerebral cortex in the past. I had been intending to replicate this by using the Brute Vigilante archetype, but then I reread it & I realized that Androids cannot take that archetype since they are immune to fatigue...

Now I'm bummed. I know I can pretty much achieve the same thing thematically with a Vanilla Vigilante or possibly one of the Bloodrager bloodlines, but the idea of this sub-persona that was convinced that the 'primary consciousness' was fatally flawed & the only way to fix it was to 'hard reboot', I.E. die & which consequently had kind of a death-wish just tickled me...

For as long as he can remember, Iacobus has traveled, proclaiming the word of Kurgess, and helping others as he has encountered them.

Iacobus' first conscious memory was waking up under the care of an old but spry itinerant priest of Kurgess. He first re-learned to talk by listening to the man's sermons, parables & puppet shows.
Iacobus still hasn't quite figured out that most conversations don't take place at full voice with a magnificent set of lungs.


Appearance:
Iacobus is a picture of rude physical health, with the perfect physique that only comes with a daily regime of constant effort.
Rare indeed is the day he does not lend a hand, or back, to those in need, accepting only thanks & the occasional beverage in return.
The perfection of his form is only marred by a scar across the back of his head, near the base of his skull; likely the cause of his loss of memory.

Personality:
In a word, Bombastic. Iacobus is loud, gregarious & incapable of speaking softer than 'pitched to carry across a crowded common room'.
However, he will, and has, offer the shirt from his back to those in need.
He rarely imposes his presence upon those who do not wish it, but will happily engage with those who desire it.

Background:

Xandar Coulsong was born in Mendev close to the Numerian border. His parents are Pathfinder agents, who at the time were stationed in Mendev to study the worldwound, when their assignment brought them elsewhere; Xandar was left at the Grand lodge to study. Here he found out that he had a natural affinity with the spells many bards uses but he could not play a musical tone right if his life depended on it. However bad he was at the bardic art he more than made up for with his natural interest in everything old, and especially knowledge about Numeria that the society lacked qualified members to study.

Xandar found great joy in being transferred to the archaeology department, traveling to all sorts of digging sites and ruins with more skilled fighters to defend them, but he has learnt a few tricks so he could help with other things then spells. As the years passed he has been sent to many places but he particularly enjoy the areas close to Numeria as the technology they have there fascinates him even to this day. One day he accidently got trapped in a cave him and his team was exploring, the ceiling collapsed and his team certain that Xandar was dead, returned to Absalom without him and reported their findings and the loss of an agent. He found a way out and meet a tribe of friendly barbarians who assisted him to return to civilization, they took him to Torch where he has been since recovering and preparing to set out and explore the nearby sites before returning to the Grand lodge to find his team and parents.

Xandar is a tall slender human, with a light brown skin, short spiky black hair, one green and one blue eye. He does not look like he has seen much combat and more like a bookish type. He useal wears the standard traveling and exploring outfit provided by the Society, with a tabard over his armor in the color of the pathfinders, showing the rune of the open road on the middle of his chest.

He prefers to stand behind his companions aiding them with buff spells and controlling the battlefield. For weapons he prefer to use his mother's whip to trip the oncoming attacks and if needed he will draw a shortsword when getting into the thick of combat is unavoidable.

I'm going to rule out those Generic and NPC classes since they are meant more for, well, NPCs and the like. As for age, middle aged and old will adjust stats. As for playing young, I'd have to go to Ultimate Campaign to explain (predominately) why I'm not too keen on it:

It's one thing to throw traps, monsters, and deadly magic into the path of willing adults, but another thing to threaten young people with such dangers. Although fantasy fiction is filled with instances of peril giving juvenile characters the opportunity to be heroic and prove their potential, not all players are going to be comfortable with putting young characters in danger.


If the character is well written and functional, I will look it over but understand that playing young does put you in certain roleplay disadvantages. And I'll rule it's like PFS and it does not adjust your stats but does lower you size to a minimum of small (sorry halflings and gnome children, you remain small).
