No, did I fail a linguistics check?

Not at all.

The Gen Con authorisations are being done first (and have been done). Everyone else, that's me, you,and plenty of others; are being done now. At the outside, your order could be another week before you get your ship notice (and pdf linky). I'm refreshing my orders page every so often on the off chance it's come through. No such luck yet.

Actually, the GenCon auths ran after the regular subscription auths. It's just that the GenCon people got their PDFs with their authorizations instead of having to wait for a shipping e-mail.

@ Matthew Morris: This was posted on Saturday...

The Gen Con pick up authorization should be starting on Monday.

...so if you didn't get your authorization e-mail, you should definitely contact Customer Service by e-mail, phone, or a separate thread, as he says.

Thank you life has been... Interesting so I've not spent much time on the boards.

We will reauthorize when the order comes up for packing/shipping.

Sent 07/09/15 01:49 PM. I've resent it to be sure. If you don't get either emails, I recommend checking customer.service email didn't get somehow added to your spam filter.

It's as if Christmas could happen at any time over a 10 day period. Isn't wearing my nerves raw at all.

Yeah, its not like I'm refreshing my browser every time I walk past my computer or anything....

Any possibility that you'll be finished today? I hate to be this way, but the anticipation is killing me!

Hi Sara-Marie, i received the shipping notice and pdf of my Occult Adventures on Tuesday, but have still not received the same for my other Paizo products (Hell Unleashed, etc) which are due this month. This has not happened with any of my previous orders even when shipped in more than one package. Should i be worried? Thanks and sorry to bother you.

Everything looks good with the other portion of the order, just hasn't reached the shipping desk yet.

Has the shipping desk closed for the weekend yet?

I really want to update my Occultist, and start making lots of other PCs using Occult Adventures!!

Things are going fine and still estimate being wrapped up by Friday, July 24th. We have roughly 30% of the subscription products left to ship.

thanks
sara

I just got my email confirming shipment on the 24th.

Thanks very much Sara, and all your warehouse fellows. I was going to say minions, but that brought a whole Scarlett Overkill and yellow minions mental image on...

(shakes head to clear)

Thanks!

And don't worry Jack, it will arrive!!

Maybe tomorrow will be my lucky day....I hope.

Guess I'm in the last 30% (which isn't a small number). But with shipping times to New Zealand, looks like I've still got a few weeks to wait for my goodies. :(

Yeah Looks like I'm right there with you and since I'm an Aussie customer it will be a few more weeks. At least I'll have the PDF's to tide me over. I can't complain though, last month I must have been one of the first to ship so kind of evens out I suppose.

Shadram does your order have extra things above and beyond the normal subs? I've found mine seem to ship later when I have added more to the standard sub, note that seem to, since I don;t really have any evidence.

I'm actually waiting to order some more things but I don't want to delay my subs any further. When I do go to buy it asks if I want to add to this sub. I thought I couldn't add to it after the authorisation date? Is this the case or will I be delaying my sub further if I add to my sidecart?

You can still add to it, right until it's finalised and charged. However, over the years I've definitely noticed a marked increase in screwy behaviour if you start messing with orders that late. I personally wouldn't add any non-paizo item.

(Well, actually I probably would - but I'd regret it about a fortnight later).

The reason for that is pattern is this: Paizo uses a two pronged approach to shipping. One of the prongs is "batch" shipping. This part is comprised of orders that are similar. When there are a significant enough number of orders that are all the same, they can put those orders in a stack and warehouse employees can work quickly through that stack without as much double checking. For example: Orders that are just the adventure path. The person packing those order can just grab the adventure path, throw it and the invoice in the box and send it down the line. Likewise, orders that are just the card game. Throw the game in the box and send it one. They don't need to stop and look at every order because they are all the same. I don't know how large a group has to be for it to be worth doing them in batch, but I'd imagine there are enough combinations of most subscriptions (like adventure path plus card game or even Superscriber) that if you are just getting subscription items, you are likely to be in the batch set.

The other set are "individual" shipping. These orders are unique, or at the least consist of only a small number of orders that share the exact same contents. In this case, someone has to read the "pick list" to fill the box. And they probably double check it (if not triple check it) for accuracy. It is more time consuming since it requires more attention to detail and more thought.

From past threads, Paizo has indicated that they work on both "prongs" simultaneously. So, even if you order is in the "individual" group, if yours is the first order in that group it might go out before some of the "batch" groups do. But, in general, it would stand to reason that on average your order will get shipped sooner by being in the "batch" group, since those orders are getting shipped at a higher rate than the individual orders.

Now, don't take that to indicate you shouldn't add non-subscription items to your order. You probably still save on shipping by having them all together. And, of course, if Paizo wasn't so open about their shipping scheduled and policy, you probably wouldn't even be as aware that other orders were shipped before yours. But I thought you'd might like to know the reason for the pattern you've noticed, at least as I understand it.

Thanks for the explanation, it makes a lot of sense. I'll always add everything I order to my sidecart, though, because shipping to NZ is so expensive. I've got a couple of extra things in my cart this month (Flip Mat Classic and a mini), so that likely explains my position at the back of the queue.

I'm not really complaining, though, Occult Adventures actually already shipped (separate package due to the bumper month of double AP and Campaign Setting), so at least I have the PDF of that to click through while I wait. :)

So close with this Hawkmoon, but we don't put packing slips in the batch shipped ones. ;)

We do try very hard to make sure there is no or minimal *penalty* in subscription shipping from warehouse time frames if you add items, since its not great business practice to penalize someone for buying more. There's also some internal business logistics that make procrastinating large sub orders a bad idea, but I'm not really up for going into that level of detail. Shipping at paizo.com is a pretty complex web, we've got a lot of unique challenges that essentially means its never dull, at least for someone who geeks out over operational logistics.

If its asking to add to a specific order number with your July items, it could delay your July order if the products are not in our warehouse. If they are in the warehouse, it should not affect shipping order with any statistical significance.

If its asking to push it to your sidecart, that should not affect your July order at all.

However, an item in your July order had an inventory issue and was moved to your sidecart. Its ready to roll now. Nothing currently in your shopping cart would delay it further. Let me know if you add them to your order and I will ensure it goes smoothly into the shipping queue.

Sara these nothing in my downloads at this time. Should the July subs have made it there now?

No problems with the sidecarted item, I've got the digital to get me by for now. However my account says there are three things in the sidecart, only two of which appear to have anything to do with the item in question.

Am I right in also assuming the "should ship in 1-18 days" is a Gencon thing, normally takes far less time than that to ship?

Dark Archive

Here's to hoping I receive my Shipping email today. My thoughts to all of us still waiting :)

(And might I say holy crap!! When did I become a Superscriber!?!)

Hello Cat-thulhu,

Your July subscription has not shipped yet. The warehouse is still getting the July subscriptions shipped out but are on track for being done by tomorrow. As soon as yours ships the PDFs will become available for you to download. For subscriptions we usually allow up to 2 weeks to get everything shipped out.

I see one bundle in your sidecart. Because it is a bundle there are 3 component parts, the physical books, the PDF, and the bundle itself. That is all I see if your sidecart.

Ah, that makes sense thank you Diego.

Jumped the gun on downloads. I assumed since I got a second email (and second lot of payments on my card) the order had moved along in the process. The second email was just a confirmation that the order has changed then? Ah, mailing, how you confound my senses....glad to have your team there managing these things though.

Since I haven't got my shipping notice I assume all the subs haven't been processed before the weekend. Can you give any jndication if how far off you are from finishing? How many to go? Just keen to look at the new classes, and tha last 2 giant slayer ascentures.

Well I got my Pazio subscription package yesterday in the mail.

Yeah mine originally authorised about 2 weeks ago, maybe three. Then there was a problem with an item, so it authorised again! This time the. Pending says up to 18 days though. Enjoy yours though, grumble, grumble....

Cheers Diego. I do indeed have my PDF's now. Thanks again for the hard work you guys do, its a big task and I'm glad it's in the hands of people who do such a great job.

So what does a person have to do to get their PDF's tomorrow anyone can buy them and I still don't have mine despite having multiple subscriptions Guess I'm not a really big priority to the paizo powers that be.

Hello Ladydragona,

Thank you for letting us know. It looks like the goblins had got into your order and caused it to get stuck. It's all been sorted out and your order will be on its way shortly.

Sorry for the delay with this post - it's been a bit chaotic here this week!

The warehouse should have wrapped up subscriptions shipments on Monday.

If you haven't gotten shipping confirmation for your July subscription order and you are not sure why, please let us know by starting a new thread here in CS forums, by sending us an email, or calling us, and we'll look into it. Thanks!
