You know it did go from Normal light to Dim light, not sure how looking through a cloud of dimness works exactly. It'd make sense for there to be some penalty/difficulty as it's difficult to see through. I really don't know for sure, just everyone has concealment within or if on opposite sides? I think that makes the most sense to me.
But if they have concealment, which gives the % miss chance on attacks, doesn't that mean spells that don't require an attack roll directed at a target, would just succeed? As long as the target is visible, i 'should' be able to hit them with it, afaik.

Haha, indeed. But it would require a touch attack.
I'm not sure i want to expose my familiar to that risk.
Well its one of those things, few things are immune to curses.. but quite a few might be immune/resistant to disease.
Which makes spellfocus necromancy a choice, for those curses.
Maybe a meta-magic feat for range increasing.
Yeah, Reach spell will get some use and necromancy will be choice especially if you specialize in it. I dont know what you plan on doing when Mythic happens.

Right I meant like abilities and whatnot. There are things like Infectious Hexes, Mythic feats, what have you.
Well i've 3 hexes swapped out due to archetype, on lvl 4, 8 & 10.
So i'll get 1 more at lvl 6, then from 12+.
It'll be careful picking, since either misfortune, cackle and sleep can be crowd control.
Extra Hex is a thing.
I know...but that's something to be considered later.

Hey folks, apologies for my absence yesterday. It was a very busy workday that bled into the evening, and by the time I was able to post I was too tired to put up anything of substance. All ahead full!
You'll occasionally see "Quick-Time events" for lack of a better term, to add some spice to situations and letting luck play her wily hand a bit more, with some minor-ish consequences thrown in for some drama. When you notice these pop up, it's probably best to not get weighed down by pesky RAW and logic. :)

Verim is the type of person to punch a creature bigger than the planet with his fists until they break. Equally.. QTE's also tend to reward yo as well as hinder you.. is normally the trade off. Really it just depends on HOW BAD the consequence is.
The chances of me making that was about.. 40%.. as expected.
Well, that's The Witcher 3 finished. At least until more quests get added as free DLC or the expansions come out.
Couple of things did pique my curiosity for the long-term, though. Firstly; at one point in the game Ciri mentions having spent six months in a world hiding from the Wild Hunt which she described as "People there had metal in their heads." "Waged war from a distance, using things similar to megascopes. And there were no horses, everyone had their own flying wagon instead." And the next game that CD Projekt is working on is Cyberpunk 2077. Could be that we'll get a mirrored shout-out in Cyberpunk back to The Witcher, maybe mention of Ciri at some point or mention of when the Wild Hunt tracked her down there.
Secondly; I recall reading somewhere that this game would be the last one for Geralt, but that CD Projekt would continue making games in the Witcher franchise, so I have to wonder who could be the protagonist. Can't be Ciri - two of the three possible endings for her have her either dead or too otherwise occupied to go gallivanting around the world slaying monsters. That and without the Hunt after her she doesn't have to hold back on her powers, and the game made it very clear that a Ciri who doesn't have to hold back is insanely powerful. Lambert is a possibility, though. Or Eskel. Or a brand new witcher who's just never been at Kaer Morhen while the others have been there. Although that's assuming they stick to the School of the Wolf, there's four other Schools of witchers out there. And that's all assuming that the next protagonist will even be a witcher.

Well they'd have to be from the Schools of the Griffon or Bear; apparently what's left of the School of the Cat are seen as little more than assassins now (though I'm sure there's more to it than that) while the only one left from the School of the Viper (that we know of) is Letho, who may not have survived the events of Witcher 2 depending on player choices.
Personally I'm hoping for Bear; their armour in the third game comes with a Badass Longcoat. :P
Either way; I doubt we'll be seeing another Witcher game this decade. That and my capacity for hype is now firmly maxed out on Fallout 4.
Shenmue 3.. Kickstarter didnt stand a chance. The only way Hype can break is if they had announced Half-Life 3.. literally people would have died.. on stage... from heart attacks.

So, I just found this. Been wanting to find a way to play Dreadball online for ages. And of course it would turn up after I'd almost finished making a way to play it over Roll20; all I had left to do were the cards.
If you don't know what Dreadball is, let me paraphrase a description I found on the 1d4chan wiki: it's like Blood Bowl but is set in space, uses aliens, is played on a hex grid, isn't based on American football and has completely different game mechanics.

Things are getting slightly humid and warm here.
It's been triple digits here for the last several weeks, I think only going below that once. So darn hot! It is a dry heat, thankfully not humid.
For any who celebrate the 4th of July, hope you're having a fantastic day! It's been a big family weekend for me, lots of folks coming from all over, makes time scarce but it's been really great for the fam.
Been the opposite here the last couple of days; bloody Toowoomba winters.
I wouldn't have minded a little of that Toowoomba when it was 109 Celsius yesterday. ugh.
Mildly humid, but quite warm here.
Thankfully, i've had worse, so this is mildly inconvenient at most.
Pretty easygoing here in Kalamazoo, but Im more used to the warmer climates when I visit my family in Teas so 80 or so is fine for me.
