Tallina Kapok, one of the Wild-born half elves of the Mwangi Jungle, is an outcast. Marked as a stain upon their bloodline from birth, she was marked on her left shoulder with a tattoo that would forever prevent her from joining any of the other Ekujae tribes. Her one keepsake of her mother is a small image in a locket, and her Tobongo sapling treant. Regardless, her Mwangi father was able to find work in Sargava with a kind nobleman who was able to eventually scrape together enough money for Tallina to travel to Erages. From the age of eleven until she became of age she lived as a servant and apprentice to Magistrate Laniel Miliediam.
During her time as a servant Tallina had visions, of an old man in green, pointing North over the horizon. She asked many in the village, but only an old druid would give her an answer. Handing her his own holy symbol the old man taught her the ways of the green faith, and how communing with nature can lead to answers.
Once Tallina had come of age she left the Magistrate to travel north, where her visions led. It took her several years, if only because she spent time wandering, to reach the city of Kenabres where her dreams suddenly changed. The old man looked upon the worldwound and wept, looking upon the wastes before her in her dreams she awoke to find that she too was crying. It suddenly became clear to her, she must protect that natural world, and all that would infest it, by joining the crusades.
Tallina is not exactly new to society, but prefers the quiet of the wilderness to the hustle and bustle of any city. Having grown up more or less in a city of thieves (Erages) she is extremely wary of her surroundings, and her banishment from her home in the Mwangi has made her distrustful of full elves. Still she knows that the Worldwound will not heal itself and has taken up the mantle of a crusader because someone has to do it.
Her mannerisms include not necessarily caring about her looks, looking towards her next meal, and concerning herself with worldly matters. She sees the big picture and sometimes loses focus on the here and now.
Very tall for a half elf, as most Wildborn are, she also favors her fathers strong athletic build that she has earned living in the wilderness for the past 5 years. Starting from top to bottom her hair is black and cut down to her shoulders very unevenly as she has been using her hunting knife to keep her hair short. Her hair is untidy enough to usually keep her ears hidden, if they are visible each ear has a small green stud for an earring. She has hazel almond shaped eyes that can be seen through her bangs. She never wears makeup as she has never needed to, but below her lips there is a silver piercing that was given to her by her father to remind her of where she comes from.
Away from the face, she has an athletic build, nothing special, but you can tell she keeps in shape even if it is just from roaming around the wilderness. Tallina wears simple clothes consisting of a white (albeit dirty white) blouse, brown baggy pants, a belt that can be adjusted to fit over her armor, and a pair of well worn boots. She does however have 2 pieces of jewelry, a pair of brass bracelets that are on her right wrist, and a locket tied around her neck. The only other note about her appearance is the silver holy symbol of the Green Faith attached to her belt with a chain.
