Male Human Rogue 1

"What are you punishing yourself for? Your attitude is that of resignation. I hope your anger is enough to do some good."

Male Human Fighter (Two-handed) 3

Caleb downs the rest of his wine in a single gulp before facing the man bemoaning his life. "If you're so damn adamant about hating the lot that fate has cast for you, then change it by the most drastic means possible! Being despondent and nihilistic is only food for the fiends!"

Male Human Warpriest 3

Maxwell shakes his head. He'd went too far with this. Here he was droning on about the past and they didn't even know he was. Damned visions... he thought to himself. Someone he'd only just met he wasn't about to tell about his past, that was certain, save for telling them they were dead. "I've got my own demons..." he said as he went to lean against the wall of the cafe with his flail on his shoulder.

Standing amongst them he could practically feel the religious zeal. Wide eyed and hopeful... Lucky them. He laughs at the idea that his melancholy could be used as a weapon. "What's done is done, for me. You lot? You've got your futures. Mine's been taken. I'll likely die during the crusades, but not before I kill 10 times as many of them as they have the people I've known. Understand that, at the least." he says as he adjusts his mace onto his shoulder.

Petravius shakes his head, points and repeats, "Again, the demons are that way... if you're so desperate to die, then do it in a way that doesn't endanger other Crusaders -- I'd far rather fight alongside those who have actual hope for a better world... people who can look ahead to tomorrow and therefore see the bigger strategy rather than wading in and dying in the first battle."

Male Human Warpriest 3

"All that matters to me when I get to the crusades is how many of them I kill before I die. Whether it's 6, or over 100. If I survive, all the better." he says as he shakes his head. "I'm not about to get others killed in recklessness. I'm not a fool." he says as he removes his mace from his shoulder.

The weapon was quizzical, actually. It was all of 5 feet long, a foot of which consisted of the chains that held the metal orbs. Cumbersome to look at, but certainly painful as well.

"As for looking ahead, there's only one image I've got burned into my eyes, friend, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone."

Fomiel smiles wanly as his drugs have taken effect. He nods and speaks in a quiet but clear voice.
"Idealism and practicality each have their place. You need to know your enemy. But, if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."

Fomiel seems to have a vision of a great philosopher and mumbles these words:
"Static defenses are a monument to the stupidity of man."

Bonus points for noting who said this.

Male Human Rogue 1

"Oh, this guy has suffered more than any of us. We should take pity on him, because that must be what he wants. His loss must be greater than ours because it defeated him. Well, if gods are anything other than powerful extradimensional creatures, I hope they give you your pity."

"Hush now, we're all allowed a little pain, there's no need to start to ridicule among ourselves, let us save our venom for the creatures out there." Laris tries to be the voice of reason.

Petravius shakes his head, "And what matters to me, and I hope the rest of us, is the success of the Crusade.“.

Male Human Warpriest 3

Maxwell takes a moment to scowl at Jakru for a moment. A low blow, for sure. Funny enough, however, was the fact that Groetus gave no pity... I'm not defeated. Not yet. he thought.

"Mine as well." he says to Petravius, looking at Jakru still.

Male Human Warpriest 3

I attack the darkness!

I'm going to assume this whole place is in pure darkness, right? 4 of us are human... This is why the darkness domain guy prepares light.

The cavern is in darkness, but we have 3 characters with magical light sources.

Sorry Mia, didn't realize you had set a dc with the disguise skill. Even if you take 10 what is the dc?

I've been expanding the Campaign Info tab, and will likely continue to do so as the campaign progresses. I will use the Campaign Info page to track any campaign specific details or house rules.

Aye Aye cappn'

Male Human Warpriest 3

I've been the one moving around the pieces of the campaign tab, actually. So if anyone really wants to move theirs, feel free, but I believe everyone is where they should be according to the words. I'm trying to stay in front of this blind elf at the moment however.

I'm not sure how wise it was to set that ablaze, either.

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

Things be squirmin, So its either parasites or something worse.. And having it jump out at us as we pass or go after the bodies of the fallen are not what Verim is about. Also good job, up until this point it looked pretty accurate, Verim just moved himself however, I adjusted for that. Something bad happens he's the one to take it.

Male Human Warpriest 3

I doubt it'll last but Maxwell actually has higher health than you, but only barely, haha.

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

Oh yes, But that is the wonders of first level. If you run a nice con, you can be a Bard with 15 HP which can be as much as a Barbarian with 14 con. AC however is probably going to be the big difference between us.. Verim's being 4 higher than Maxwell's

Female Half Elf AC 15/FF 15/T 11| HP 35 (39)/35 (39)| CMD 16| Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +9 Druid 4

Currently both me and my tree are bags of hit points, I think I have as much as Maxwell and Tobongo has more than I do. Regardless his AC is trash atm. That will get fixed later rather than sooner unfortunately.

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

Well of course.. you took Toughness.. that'd do it. Its a good feat overall if you especially know you cant pump certain thins up.. butby next level it wont matter as much and is good because you stay up that much longer OR not die fro random criticals.

Male Human Warpriest 3

Oh believe you, me, full plate is in my future. I have no need for any acrobatic spells, frankly, and I plan on being a weighty fool.

Female Half Elf AC 15/FF 15/T 11| HP 35 (39)/35 (39)| CMD 16| Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +9 Druid 4

Since the rules for plant companions says they may not take weapon or armor profs I am going to be relying on barkskin spells and the occasional bristle when I need it. As for my druid, around mythic tier 5 and level 12 I should be unkillable. I'm taking the heirophant path with all the plant based abilities.

Male Human Warpriest 3

Mother nature be damned.

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

Guardian has some nice abilities I think I should be pretty hard to drop one way or another. Verim will protect you though.

Thank you for arranging the map. It is important that I know where people stand, but I try to avoid positioning characters myself without a specific reason. For example, an event that triggers mid-move.

Tallina Kapok wrote:

I'll have to test that 8P

Male Human Warpriest 3

... And that's my first attack roll.

Female Half Elf AC 15/FF 15/T 11| HP 35 (39)/35 (39)| CMD 16| Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +9 Druid 4

It looks like we will be having maggot for dinner, I vote that we eat what we kill.

Male Human Warpriest 3

DM do you strictly abhor us looking into a creature's AC so we can determine whether or not we can play out our own attacks on them? I'm strictly against metagaming, though I could see why you would be against that.

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

That's why I generally make attacks that say their intention so that if they do hit that's what they do.. if they DONT then it is illustrated accordingly. Furthermore if you know one number hits and you roll above that, you can assume that hits as well. Now I generally do my descriptions beforehand, then roll. There can be situations where you need to do a roll by roll situation. Or a creature might have misschance or an ability to negate damage via DR or whatnot.. At that point I just leave it to the DM.

I would prefer players not make assumptions on hit/miss. As Verim stated, there will be (a lot) circumstances that modify AC, Be it spell effects, templates, or mythic abilities.

It won't take long for the AC and defenses to become apparent.

Male Human Warpriest 3

being the only chaotic in the party, I wouldn't mind having Alter self. Our druid would likely want levitate, however.

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

Not sure what the correspondence between Chaotic and Alter Self is but sure... It seems like it should go to the Skill/Rogue type. I could use The Alter Self, Resist Energy or Align Weapon, mainly because I have no way of.. doing any of those. I'm supposed to take hits so grace wouldn't help and Status is something more for people who can do something with that info.

Alter self is just overall a buff to a stat though.. And I wont be disguising. And neither of us wouldnt use the disguise for its intended purpose because we arent bluffomancers.

Female Half Elf AC 15/FF 15/T 11| HP 35 (39)/35 (39)| CMD 16| Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +9 Druid 4

Levitate could be fun, especially since I will never be able to fly with my wild shape. Who wants to see a flying tree?

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

Celestial Shub-Niggurath?

Laris is happy to select whatever's left over. It seems Resistance, Sacred Weapon and Grace would be better on the frontliners. Though I could benefit from Grace if I need to rush in to use a cure on someone?
Alter Self has some interesting utility for anyone.

People need to hurry up and decide who has which scale and move their characters.

Poor Maxwell has been standing there staring at that campsite for a while now.

Male Human Warpriest 3

*eyes turning red* BUT IT'S SO.... COOOL!

Female Demon-Blooded Tiefling | AC16 FF15 T11 CMD15 | HP 18/18 | F7 R4 W7 Paladin 2

I might take the Grace one if Verim's keeping the Sacred Weapon one for himself.

Female Half Elf AC 15/FF 15/T 11| HP 35 (39)/35 (39)| CMD 16| Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +9 Druid 4

Sorry, it's been a busy day, haven't been able to sit down and post. Check things sure, but the moment got I had to get up and do something else.

Human Fighter 2/Titan Mauler 2 (Lvl 4) HP 38(46)[50]/38(46)[50]| AC 23(21) T 12(10) FF 21(19) | Fort +8(+10)[+11] Ref +2 Will +1(+3)| CMD 19 | Init +2 | Perception +8 : Conditions

To be fair he already made that Perception check.. and failed.. horribly. We can hand them all out per choice. Verim wants the Align weapon one because.. he is not a paladin and cannot smite evil to bypass DR. Nor is he any kind of caster. So for simplicity's sakes lets assume this.. Tallina; Clouds, Mia; Disguise, Luciana; Grace, Laris; Status, Verim; Align, and Maxwell; Resistance. Done and done.. GM you can continue.

Human Bard 4 | HP:23/23 | AC 16 | Init +2 | PassivePerception 10 | S+0;D+4;C+0;I+2;W+0;Ch+6 Spells: 4/4x1st; 3/3x2nd; Bard Inspiration 4/4 (d6)

Do we know what Caster Level these effects are at? 5th would be standard for 2nd level spell effects, yes?

Female Half Elf AC 15/FF 15/T 11| HP 35 (39)/35 (39)| CMD 16| Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +9 Druid 4

2nd level spells would be 3rd, unless cast by a sorcerer it would be 4th.

Laris D'Vagne wrote:

Caster Level = 19

You are holding artifacts.

In that case I may as well just run status permanently, since it'll have a 19 hour duration.

Laris D'Vagne wrote:

Yep.

19 hour duration, affects 6 people, usable 3/day. I will assume the entire party (minus companions) are covered 24/7. At least, until I start separating party members across planer boundries.

I just burned all my good die rolls for the week.

Sometimes you need witty dialogue, sometimes you just need to shout "Bugs!".
