This is the '1-07 The Solar Sortie' recruiting thread for characters level 1-4, scheduled to start on October 1.
Please take a look at my GM profile page to read up on how I run PbP games.
If you're interested in signing up, please post your character's class, expected level, and preferred starship roles when we start up in October. I'll gather other details (such as SFS number, faction, etc.) at a later date.
If you're not yet sure what character you'll bring, that's no problem. Just go ahead and list whichever characters you think you may bring as it may help others decide which characters they'll bring.

I am fairly new to SFS so only have a 1st level pc (although she will be 2nd level if she scores a table in Session 1), but would be happy to use a pregen if the group prefers higher tier.
I would bring Saeron Kasari, Lashunta Mystic and Dataphile to the party, if you'd care to dance.

Which tier will this be? I currently only have level 1 and 2 characters but might have a level 3 by then.
I don't think we've decided yet! Personally, I vote high tier.

I've dotted in with Saeron (will be lvl 2 by Session 2) at the moment. I only have 2 1st level pcs currently, but am willing to dust off a pregen if everyone wants higher tier.

I'm going to get her profile up today.
Previously there were only limited scenarios I could play in Round 2 (due to having played the rest in my level), this being one of them. Since then a few more tables appear to have popped up.
I've thrown Saeron's hat into the ring at another table more appropriate for her tier, since I would be playing a pregen here anyhow.
I would rather step down from this table and enable someone who is of the right level take my spot so they can benefit. That being said, I will be happy to stick around with a pregen if it turns out you need me to make the table.

Ghoogler and I spoke a bit offline and being brand new to society play, he'll actually be bringing a level 1 character (unless he opts to play a pregen).
So to summarize our roster so far:
- EwokBanshee: Prefer level 3 mystic but has a low tier character available
- Supersuperlative: low tier characters available
- Peet: low tier characters available but may have a level 3 available by the time we start
- azjauthor: level 3/4 envoy
- Ghoogler: level 1 (probably operative)
Everyone is of course welcome to bring whichever character you prefer. If going high tier, I would generally suggest the front-liners be high tier as well.
Supersuperlative, no problem at all! You're welcome to stay and play with a low tier character or a high tier pregen or if you prefer to drop from this game, that's okay too. It's entirely up to you! No pressure!!

My Solarian, Aazanar Kroi, should be just shy of level 3, needing 1 more XP to level up, unless I am able to GM a game and have it finish before the deadline, and apply it to Aazanar (which I hope to do). He is my most advanced character.
But I don't mind playing my level 2 in a tier 3-4 if you guys want.

Hey, Bigboom, I'm planning to use this character instead of Gabbers on this one. Flenn is on the last mission of a Commencement scenario, so we'll be over before this starts up. Then I'll do a rebuild on him with the Half-Orc boon I earned playing Flameclaw through your Nightarch, and have him ready for this one.

I've a lvl 1 Mechanics. But I'm playing the first session. We'll finish soon but I don't know if it will be good for the first Oktober.

No problem at all! I'll put you down as player #6 for this game! If you're not ready by Oct 1 due to your session 1 game, we'll wait till you're ready. As announced by GM Tyranius, session 2 games may start anytime between Oct 1 and Oct 15.
