"Fifth time is the charm, eh? Let me see what we have here..."
So saying, Knives puts his armor back on and opens the drawer.
Captain Albrecht
Albrecht and Bartimaeus stay in the corridor by the door, a step behind Merelinda. They were waiting while those with the proper skills took care of the lock.
Tusara Khione
Tusara raises her eyebrows as the confident gentlemen gets in and out of his gear, but otherwise makes no further comment. Sucking gently on the tip of her finger, she nods in agreement but makes no move to leave, she would get it seen to when she had seen what the locked drawer contained, and after she had read the maps and the captains logbook

RING (unidentified)
Tusara Khione
I'll put it on, matching rings! If it contains no further significance, It can used for someones arcane bond.
Tusara picks up the ring and places it on her left hand, examining it before turning back toward the maps and the captains logbook, flicking through the pages.

Supply Room: This is the room the Scorpioid was so eager to get into—it contains not only a number of supplies, but also the unfortunate first mate. The man you knew on the trip as Alton Devers. Alton still wears his
masterwork studded leather armor
and clutches his masterwork short sword in one hand.
DC14 HEAL CHECK TO KNOW MORE.
A search of the rest of the supply room turns up several tools and lumber that could come in handy in building a secure campsite:
a block and tackle,
three large canvas sheets,
two fishing nets,
a grappling hook,
two bullseye lanterns,
12 flasks of lantern oil,
150 feet of hemp rope,
and five shovels.

The ring is
Merelinda Falvian
Merelinda looks startled at the sight of the man. She has never seen a dead body before, and is quite saddened by the sight. Still, she hardens herself and goes up to inspect the man and his wounds.

Priestess or Captain, can either of you tell what killed our first mate here, let me help you disrobe him so you can see more clearly
well this will help, if were here for any period of time
Ivar quickly removes the armor and shortsword, tucking it in his belt, then begins wrapping up the other items in the large canvas sheets.

Tusara you see many facinating things in the books. It will be nice to read them later by a campfire while Bayani hits on NPC Sasha.

Albrecht helps Ivar pack up the gear.
Is zis vere zee food was stored or is zat somevere else?

Merelinda
Merelinda Falvian
The priestess says a brief prayer for the man's soul, hoping to speed it to whichever Plane it belonged. Merelinda's lips purse as she stands. She looks to Albrecht and Ivar, "This man was killed before the ship crashed. If you look at the shape and angle of the wound, you can tell it was from some kind of piercing weapon. Based on its narrow width, I would guess a rapier. Like the captain wore."
She then quietly helps them gather what they can carry back to the beach.

Captain’s Cabin
Larder
Supply RoomWhat do you do?
Captain my good man the food would be in the Larder, shall we go there next?
As they leave the supply room, Ivar tosses half the scorpiod to Bartimaeus and carries the other half with him to put in the pot later.
Captain Albrecht
I don't sink we should leap to any conclusions about who might have done zis, but it is disconcertink zat zis man died by a sword.
Could someone really have wrecked the ship on purpose, madness.
I fear food vill be hard to come by on zee island. I sink vee should brink as much as we can back vith us.
Bartimaeus gleefully accepts the half scorpoid.
I think someone is making a friend.
Merelinda Falvian
"The captain just happened to be influenced by some b$$!$ who had a weird orb that knocked us all out? I think my theory is pretty sound when you throw that in. If they were intent on wrecking here, who would be in the best position to thwart them? That's right, the First Mate!" Merelinda scowls, remembering the woman Ieana and her treachery.
After calming, she nods her agreement with the gnome's observation on food. She hurries and helps them get everything on the raft before the tide washes away the ship.

Wow, flurry of posts is right... sorry I was very busy tonight.
Bayani has been guarding the rear (whose? not telling yet) while this all has been going on, a Chakram in one hand in case of danger.
"Food, yes, let's gather everything we can. Water, too! We'll have to find a clean spring somewhere inland..."
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
as Ivar, Merlinda and Albrecht place their supplies on the raft: Ivar notices Bayani's choice of weapons stroking his fine beard he says
A chakram eh, I've heard of them, never had a chance to see one before, when we get back to the island would you show me how to use it? Well first thing first, were going to the larder for whatever food we can find, care to join us?
Ivar turns to go to the larder, assuming who ever want to join, will.
Mobutu Sese Seko
Mobutu puts a hand gently on Merelinda's shoulder, nodding assuredly toward her as she looks at him. "Allow me, priestess." he says, forcing a goofy smile. "I have only recently become comfortable with idioms but I am, as they say, a surgeon with this stick."
He swings the quarterstaff over his shoulder and moves up behind Ivar on their way to the larder.
Rhea Stardust
In the Larder you find the the plump body of the ship's cook. He has bite marks on his neck.
Merelinda Falvian
Merelinda accepts her role with reluctance, going forth to inspect the cook's wounds.

Her eyes widen at the man's tenacity to cling to life, then at the implication of the size of the bite marks. She calls upon the Savored Sting, channeling healing energy into the room and corridor beyond.

"These are the bite marks of a colossal serpent!"
Bayani concentrates on the man, using one of the minor spells he's learned in his training.
Using SLA detect poison.
Rhea Stardust
Bayani certainly detects poison:
Cook: What? What happened? *sputter gurgle sputter* He clutches at Merelinda's dress. Beware! Beware of that lady...she's...she's, not human! *sputter*
Merelinda Falvian
Merelinda glances back at the elf, her expression grim as she shakes her head. "The serpent's venom courses through him, seeking to still his heart as we speak. He shan't live long."
The priestess is startled by the man as he clutches at her. Wide-eyed, she asks, "Ieana?"
Mobutu Sese Seko
Mobutu nods and stands, looking at the others. "Where is Ieana? Has anyone seen her since the wreck?"
Sorry if this has been resolved already, but I don't recall reading about her post wreck
Bayani Nishou
The explorer blinks at Merelinda's command, finding himself mumbling, "Yes ma'am" and standing up to back away.
At Mobutu's question, he shakes his head at the other dark-skinned elf beside him. "Pa yon siy li," he mutters in polyglot as they watch the cook's last moments on Golarion.

Ivar then turns and begins rummaging around the kitchen to see if there is anything worth taking

Tusara Khione
Tusara watches the others crowd around the dying man, before stepping away slightly, looking for a spare set of clothes on the ship. Her dress being rather wet from the swim didn't really lend itself to keeping warm when they got back to dry land.
Mobutu Sese Seko
"But she surely must be here. Or somewhere close." he says before realizing that Bayani's words were not spoken in common. They were rather a mix of common and a tongue Mobutu knew well. "Mo ti ko sọ mi ede ni igba pipẹ. Dariji mi ti o ba ti diẹ ninu awọn ti ọrọ mi ni o wa ti ko tọ si."
He swells with a small amount of pride as he remembers his mother tongue, though his accent might need work.
I have not spoken my language in a long time. Forgive me if some of my words are wrong.

Okay, so Julian reading the charts
The maps include one of the west coast of Garund that plots the Jenivere’s route to and from Sargava—this island is not marked on this map, but it is marked on a second map of Desperation Bay, though the map provides no details on the island apart from its general outline and a note warning of danger.
The Captain’s Log
An examination of this log reveals that the Jenivere’s captain seemed to be suffering from some sort of madness that grew over the course of the ship’s final voyage. Earlier entries from previous voyages are precise in recording progress and events along the way, as are entries from the first two-thirds of this last trip. Yet as one reads further, the more recent the entries get, the less common they become—in some cases, several days are missing entries. What entries do appear are strangely short, focusing more and more on one of the passengers—the Varisian scholar Ieana, with whom the captain seems to have become obsessed. Several entries are nothing more than poorly written love poems to Ieana, while others bemoan Captain Kovack’s inability to please her or catch her attention.
Near the end, the entries begin to take on a more ominous tone with the captain starting to complain that other members of the crew are eyeing “his Ieana.” In particular, he suspects his first mate is in love with her, and writes several times about how he wishes Alton would just “have an accident.” The final entry is perhaps the most disturbing, for in it the captain writes of how he’s changed course for Smuggler’s Shiv at Ieana’s request. He hopes that the two of them can make a home on the remote island, but also notes that the crew are growing increasingly agitated at the ship’s new course. The captain muses that “something may need to be done about the crew” if their suspicions get any worse.

The Cook: *gurrgle gurrgle* No..No, not Ieana. She said her name was not Ieana...her name was Yar...Yarzothhhh. She said nothing could stop her from finding the ss..secret of the Lost City of...Ahhhhhh he convulses violently.
Merelinda Falvian
Merelinda absorbs the information, then stares mutely as the man convulses his last. The dead body of the First Mate had been shocking, but this proved overwhelming. Her eyes tear up, emotions threatening to overcome her. She hears the Ulfen run his mouth again and whirls, standing.
"Shut your fool mouth, you bloodthirsty idiot! When I need a suggestion about how to hit something or the best way to carry things, I'll ask you. Otherwise, keep your wisdom, or lack thereof, to yourself!"
Her face crimson, she brushes past the man, going to the deck of the ship in the briny sea air. She breathes deeply, closing her eyes.
Ivar "Goldilocks" Theodinson
Ivar, not a stranger to death, turns as Melelinda storms past and retorts
My wisdom, Priestess let me ask, did you kneel down beside the man to help him or to milk him for information? If you knelt to help him you failed; all you did was prolong the agony that he was experiencing; if you came to milk him for information; then you succeeded. You need to ask yourself what were your real intentions, to help him or yourself, at least I have no delusions.
Ivar follows her, not to hear her answer, but to secure his load to the raft.
