Will (Blackraven Warrior): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
Will (Frostfur goblin): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13

The Ulfen warrior is rendered unconscious, dropping on the ground like a dry leaf. The frostfur attempts to fight off the spell's effect, lost in his contemplation of the light bubbles surrounding him. "So shiny, so pretty... Then he collapses as well.

Aspex is up!

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Taldan) Wizard (Enchantment Manipulator) 16 HP: 130/130 | AC: 12 | T: 12 | FF: 10 | CMD: 20 | Fort: +14 | Ref: +13 | Will: +18| Init: +2 | Perception: +7 | Sense Motive: +8

Ardisen breathes a sigh of relief, offering a silent prayer to Asmodeus for sparing him another day.

If 2HD or less

Unconcious, blinded and stunned: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5 rounds

Blinded and stunned: 1d4 ⇒ 3 rounds

Then stunned for 1 more round.

Dark Archive

Female Aasimar (Peri-Blooded) Conjurer (Infernal Binder) 3 (HP 13/13 | AC:13 | T:12 | FF:11 | CMB: -1 | CMD:11 | Fort:+1 | Ref:+1 | Will:+3 | Init:+6 | Perc: +2 (Darkvision)| Speed 30)

Aspex continues chanting.

Yes, I know Sleep takes a round to cast, just got caught up in the excitement. I think she can hit Enrik and other guy in a 10' burst if she targets the square just to the left of the guy with the circle around his picture. That will hit Xoricon, too, but hopefully he has a better Will save than blondie.

Xori did take a 5' step back...we shall see!

Grand Lodge

Alright! Here goes, DC 11 since it comes from a scroll.

Will (Enrik): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Will (Chaplain): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Both Enrik and the Gorumite chaplain fall asleep! Duration is 1 minute. Well played!

Initiative - round 3
>>>Group 1 (Mary, Castien (12 dmg), Cha-Ka)
Blackraven Warriors (2, one of them out of combat)
Group 2 (Aspex, Xoricon, Ardisen (11 dmg))
Blackraven Chaplain (asleep)
Enrik Ironjaw (asleep)
Group 1 may act!

Silver Crusade

Female Human Paladin (Divine Hunter)/2 (HP 18/18 | AC:20 | T:13 | FF:17 | CMB: 4 | CMD:17 | Fort:+7 | Ref:+6 | Will:+5 | Init:+5 | Perc: +5 | Speed 20)

Unaware of other things happening in the tavern, Mary will pull out her hemp rope (a move action). "We can tie them up with this. Find something to gag him as well. A napkin will do just fine." Mary will tie up the sleeping chaplin (standard action).

DC to escape=23:

TIE UP RULE Quote for your convenience: "If you have your target pinned, otherwise restrained, or unconscious, you can use rope to tie him up. This works like a pin effect, but the DC to escape the bonds is equal to 20 + your Combat Maneuver Bonus (instead of your CMD). The ropes do not need to make a check every round to maintain the pin. If you are grappling the target, you can attempt to tie him up in ropes, but doing so requires a combat maneuver check at a –10 penalty. If the DC to escape from these bindings is higher than 20 + the target's CMB, the target cannot escape from the bonds, even with a natural 20 on the check."

Mary's CMB is +3, thus the DC to escape is 23.

Scarab Sages

Male Tengu Slayer 2 (HP:20/20 | AC 17 T 12 FF 15 | F 4 R 5 W 1 | Percep 9 | Init 2)

"I heard footsteps on the roof heading towards the back where the Frostfurs are. Our friends could be in trouble."

With that, Cha-Ka rushes off to check on the rest of the group, if nothing else, hoping to re-unite them all.

Double move action.

"I had better go as well," says Xoricon, running after Cha-Ka. After Castien's move, of course. Double move to follow.

Scarab Sages

Male Elf Fighter (Lore Warden) 1/Wizard (Enhancer)) 5 [ HP 41/41 | AC 19/FF14/T16 (23/18/20 w/Mage Armor) | Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +6 (immune to sleep, +2 vs. ench) | Init +7 | Perception +9 ]

Castien takes another step back, aware that he is quickly running out of room. He fires two more shots; the first shatters against the far wall of the storeroom, but the second flies true.

Not an action: 5' step, as indicated on the map
Full-round action: Rapid shot vs. remaining opponent
Attack (Composite Longbow (+2 Str), Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot): 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 1 - 2 = 10
Damage (Composite Longbow (+2 Str), Point Blank Shot): 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6

Attack (Composite Longbow (+2 Str), Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot): 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 1 - 2 = 25
Damage (Composite Longbow (+2 Str), Point Blank Shot): 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6
Critical Confirm (Composite Longbow (+2 Str), Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot): 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 6 + 1 - 2 = 23
Critical Damage (Composite Longbow (+2 Str), Point Blank Shot): 2d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6, 4) + 4 + 2 = 16

As Castien's arrow pierces the last Ulfen warrior's skull with a nasty crack, the man drops and silence falls on the longhouse. If you except the goblins' incessant rambling and admiration of their boss's men and their prowess in battle. "Boss saved us! We love boss!" they are quick to exclamate!

End combat.

In time, the three survivors are tied up and taken to Freyr Darkwine's justice. During their swift trial, it is ascertained that both the chaplain and the guard were 'just following orders' from their commanding officers. Enrik, for his part, spouts vigilante rhetoric about revenge against the monsters of Irrisen and condemns you for protecting such foul beasts as their Frostfur captives. He openly admits that he defied Freyr Darkwine’s orders to give you aid and ensure the goblin prisoners made it to Trollheim safely, and spits at the suggestion that he should have done otherwise, given the horrible fate his family suffered at goblin hands. Needless to say, justice will be served swiftly afterwards, and Enrik's head mounted on a pike will henceforth be a reminder of Freyr Darkwine's strong rule. The chief cannot help but wonder aloud if the lives of 'good' men were really worth goblin secrets. With that, your mission comes to a close as you hand the six goblins to the team of Pathfinder interrogators expecting you in the Land of the Linnorm Kings.

What of the Frostfur goblins, you may ask? The separation from their beloved 'boss' is a heartbreaker indeed, though the amazing capacity for goblins to forget won't leave them in that state for too long.

This is the end of the scenario. I hope you enjoyed it - I certainly did! You earned the full 2 fame/prestige points for this mission, and the scenario will be reported shortly. Chronicle Sheets will be available through a link sent by PM. Please do print and save the CS to your hard drive, they won't stay forever in my googledocs folder. If you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them. If some people want to engage in some after-scenario roleplay, you're welcome to do so.

Yeah, thanks for DMing. :-) Also, Cha-Ka is now level 2! Huzzah!

Out of curiosity, what was the secondary objective?

Grand Lodge

Secondary Success Condition wrote:

#3–01: The Frostfur Captives

Primary: The PCs deliver at least half of their goblins alive to the extraction team (rounded up).
Secondary: The PCs deliver all or all but one of the goblins alive to the extraction team.

Glad you enjoyed it. You're welcome!

"Well," says Xoricon, "it seems that Enrik gave us a very...frosty reception." -puts on sunglasses, exits frame, 'Won't Get Fooled Again' blasts in the background-

ahem. Yes, it was fantastic! Thanks for the introduction to PFS!

Xoricon hands the 'stick' back to Cha-Ka. "That came in handy; I suppose you'll be wanting it back," he says wryly.

Should I be healing up Castien and Ardisen, or do we assume they heal in between scenarios?

Scarab Sages

Male Elf Fighter (Lore Warden) 1/Wizard (Enhancer)) 5 [ HP 41/41 | AC 19/FF14/T16 (23/18/20 w/Mage Armor) | Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +6 (immune to sleep, +2 vs. ench) | Init +7 | Perception +9 ]

Unless there are lasting effects that need to get resolved (e.g., diseases, poisons, etc.), it's assumed that the characters heal in between scenarios.
