Background:
Aspex is the youngest daughter of a wealthy merchant family in Egorion. Growing up rich but not powerful had a profound effect on her. In spite of going to the best schools, having a bigger house, more servants, better clothes, she had to bow and scrape to nobles who would otherwise have been far below her social station.
She realized young that the route to real power wouldn't come to her through temporal means. While her family of course pays lip service to Asmodeus, their real focus of veneration is money. So with politics and the Church out, Aspex turned to the infernal. She focused all her energy and considerable intelligence on getting into the prestigious Egorion Academy of Magical Arts. With that and her family's money- the campus now has a new library building with the Crispin name on it- she was able to realize her dream.
She spent years studying at the Academy, until finally her father forced her out of school by the simple expedient of saying he wouldn't support her anymore. Instead, he got in contact with an old friend in the Pathfinder Society and arranged for her to join. Aspex's very first outing with the Pathfinders sent her to Irrisen and the Land of the Linnorm Kings. From there she traveled south, using her abilities to guard a caravan and planning on finding a ship to take her back to Egorion.
