This goes to all my games (GMing or playing):
Thank you very much for your patience! Several weeks ago my partner decided to continue his life without me. For me it was a surprise, after 16 years of relationship. While I was busy looking for a new place to live the workload at work got more and more (the bank is changing the treasury apps completely, moving to a new vendor) and my mother opens her own shop on Monday and wanted me to help with ordering stuff, making a website, creating advertising, business cards, preparing the shop etc.

As you can imagin I'm tired, done and completely frustrated. I've not been in the mood to open the Paizo page and reading messages of upset GMs/players "shouting" at me or demanding immediate upates so I did not open this page for a long time now.

I'm really sorry that I put you into this situation, but to make sure: it does not have anything to do with you or your gaming style. It was just that a lot of things hit me at the same time. I'm currently working through the games to update everything.

Hi, Beatrice. First of all, I'm very sorry to hear about your partner. I can't imagine how hard this must be for you.

Second, I hope I'm not on the category that shouted or made demands, that's not my style. If it felt like that, my apologies.

You're welcome back whenever feels good to you. This is just a game after all!

no worries Lymwin Real Life Comes First

Glad to have you back

(insert clever line space here)

GM: The statue is all stone no metal? Only reason i ask is because of the spell burning disarm which specifically needs a metal object to target.

Finally I plan on casting wall of fire on the statue (2d6+7) damage but I have to angle it toward the Lymwin and Kargens side for burning in order to not kill Seaweed a 1d4 at a time. Kargen are you able to take a 1d4 or 2 in fire damage (to get past the wall to stabilize Seaweed?) if the statue chases after me down the tunnel? Or should I hold off on that spell and go with fire bolt (1d6+3)?

Keep in mind once the wall goes up its lasting for minimum 7 rounds but this is the most damaging spell i got left (minus burning hands but I have no intention to get smashed in the faced just to throw it out.)

It's all stone.

Don't worry about us, Lymwin. It's a game. It should be enjoyable, not a burden.

Dyson: Do it. I can take the extra damage. You could put the wall in the corridor so it has to take damage if it continues to come after you.

I'm torn between trying to finish off the statue or popping a potion of invisibility to get Seaweed out. I think 1 or 2 more rounds of attacks could do it, but I'm out of Bane so I'd be taking more penalties to crank up the damage to break through whatever hardness it has.

EDIT: err... don't put a wall of fire on me though ;)

Kargen: KK, personally id rather keep damage up on the statue. Seaweed should survive a few more rounds bleeding out and as long as we keep the statue occupied it shouldn't have a reason to curb stomp Seaweed.

Also keep in mind their are defensive penalties for squeezing so if the statue does squeeze to come after me those should hopefully negate any penalties you have to hit.

Seaweed: Don't worry I'm facing it Kargens direction so you don't take 1d4 per round.

GM: Fubar, wanted a nice shiny object to burn.

So....what are we doing? Dyson are you still there?

Okay. With Dyson and Lymwin not responding, we suddenly have a three-person party. I was already sorta disappointed at how I'd have to strip down the opposition for a four-person party, but a three-person party isn't going to survive the final encounter.

I'm going to consult with the Venture-Captain and get back to you.

In the meantime, someone go "bot" Dyson and give me the wording for an augury so we can get going, please.

2nd: comprehend languages, prot evil, silence, barkskin*, [slot left open]
4th: Restoration

I guess I have quite a few spells left, was busy channeling versus all the undead & trying to keep the party up :)

thats good cause i have only a few left and the creature is immune to the offensive spells i can throw out.

prot from evil and maybe bless might be worth casting Seaweed as they do a great job at mitigating the gaze attack that sounds like a paralysis but could be worse..

Jeeze. Don't tell me we're down to two players now. Is it me? Do I smell funny? Have something in my teeth?

I was getting ready to ask the same thing (the two players thing, not the other thing--since you asked: no you smell wonderful! ;).

The attrition rate on a PbP can be pretty high, and this has gone on for quite a while. I don't know how close we are to finishing it, but you may have to bot all three MIA to finish this. I presume the undead's escape or release is a reportable condition though, (meaning the outcomes to be reported are still in flux).

GM:
I know that getting Seaweed to level was a little stressful (audit on XP, dying in a game, replaying for no credit to make a legal table, and including a chronicle from a game I started GMing at the same time as this one). That is no excuse, but I did a terrible job of updating Seaweed's profile.

If you look at my Discussions post right before this one you will notice I did not update spells correctly when I added them. That is a copy & paste from the character profile. One 4th level spell was added, but not the bonus spell for Wis or even the Domain spell. No spells for 3rd level were added, and even 1st & 2nd do not reflect Seaweed's current Wis. FWIW my character sheet shows a 4th level poison, and gaseous form and airwalk as my domain spells. Normally I would have a spiritual weapon, a couple dispel magics & silence available, but my sheet is blank on level three (I would have erased them as I cast them last time I played in a tabletop game). It would be difficult to fill them this late in the game obviously, but if it will help move the game along I can fill those slots?

Would blindess have any effect on a creature with an eyeball for a head?

Just chiming in to say I'm still here. Obviously Kargen's plan is to just keep shooting the Div. Unless denied the ability to full attack, I think he can roughly do about 30 points of damage a round. If Dyson and Tytus are gone, maybe we can just say they're negating the elemental for the rest of the fight.

My Boss is on rehab, one of my coworkers left due burnout, another is on medical leave due to burnout, left me with our blond secretary and a newbie to handle all the work to keep the european branch of a huge company working. I am totally plastered and SOOO happy I have one week of christmas holiday.

Thanks for playing, everyone!

I'll have your chronicles up by Monday.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Quick note of explanation. I sent the completed forms to the admins for Game Day V, even though Game Day V is now long over. If they don't report this game, I will do so separately in a few weeks (to give them time).

Unfortunately, Dyson never gave me his PFS number and is now not responding. Hopefully PFS will accept a reported game with only three PFS numbers.
