I haven't leveled yet, but, um, I'm eager to finally begin taking levels in my Favored Class.

I was speaking more "Trapfinding would be useful here" (I actually forgot Paddy was a Rogue). And I didn't know Mindchemist was your favored class considering...you didn't have any levels in it.

Either way, that Disable Device fails by 6 if it's a Glyph of Warding. Meaning: BOOM!

Paddy carefully applies clay from his thieves' toolkit into the glyphs in an attempt to render them powerless....

And an arc of blue lightning leaps from the green door to the Irish rogue, dealing 5d8 ⇒ (8, 3, 2, 2, 6) = 21 electricity damage, Reflex save vs DC 16 for half damage or evasion!

Nacht watches as the water rises from the outside and sees lightning arch up confused at what caused it and somewhat glad it happened before the water hit the area. The rising water however.. he is less concerned about having the ability to swim.

Alphonse pushes the green door open, revealing a circular domed chamber within....

The mortared walls are covered with white plaster, on which various arcane diagrams, formulae, and symbols have been carefully scribed....

A canopy bed with black velvet curtains occupies the north side of the chamber, with mahogany night stands to either side, on which a brazier glowing with green arcane fire and a crystal decanter and goblet rest....

A censer hangs by a thin chain from the domed ceiling, smoking with exotic incense....

An oak desk and high-backed chair occupy the center of the chamber, with a human skull lit by arcane green flames that light but do not burn casting illumination on several scrolls spread out on the desktop....

A chamber pot sits near the doorway, and a full-length gilt framed mirror stands on the other side of the doorway....

An armoire and a chest in the west side of the chamber completes the furnishings....

There is no sign of the Necromancer, but something vaguely human in shape suddenly crawls out from under the black canopy over the bed! It looks like a pale, gaunt, almost skeletal woman in funeral shroud with wild mane of bone-white hair framing a ghastly, malevolent visage, eyes burning like red coals!


Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16


Simultaneous with the emergence from the canopy bed of the ghastly woman, two black shapes of pure shadow rise up from the floor to either side of the doorway, within a 5-ft step each of flanking Alphonse!

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Hisao tries to chat the lady up in broken French Hello pretty lady. Do you wish to maybe not spend your time underground with scary shadow monsters? We could take you to this tavern. It has good drink though it's no sake. Also there is sunlight

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

If the woman goes hostile then Hisao readies an act to throw a shuriken at her.

Shuriken: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 121d2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

and then will use ki to turn invisible.


The woman favors Hisao with a decidedly unfriendly grin full of malice, revealing jagged, bloodstained teeth more suited to a beast of nightmare than a lady....

I didn't realize any of them were magic. Or I forgot, one. Was my Cold Iron Falchion magic?

The Earthbreaker would have been right up my alley but its wielder puffed into smoke.
