A hulking ugly half-orc with a giant hammer struts up to the team, angry as can be.
"Keep up the fight pathfinders! if you have need, help is always nearby!" She tosses you a magic coin as she turns around and smashes an automaton's halberd in one swing and laughing as she swings on its metallic body.
You have received an Aid Token!

I could see Chak trying that though. Hold! No fighting now while there is PAPERWORK to be done!

OK, that scroll of restoration is at caster level 7, correct? Hania has caster level 6, but caster level should take a hit from negative levels, so she is currently caster level 2. Restoration is on her spell list. The DC on the caster level check is 7+1=8, so Hania would need to roll at least a 6 to activate the scroll. If she fails and uses a borrowed reroll, she gets an extra +1 from a GM star. Thus, odds of failing the first roll are .25, and odds of failing both rolls are .05, or 5%. Can anyone else do better than this?
Also, do the rules on wealth transfer let me buy Chak a new scroll at the end of the scenario?

Chak needs a 5+ to activate the scroll +22 Linguistics vs DC 27. If he fails that he needs a 3+ to avoid a mishap.

So here's where we are...
You've finished the final encounter for the adventure, and the event finishes on Friday. I've gone ahead and prepared chronicle sheets for you all (and included the +5 day job bonus), but I haven't included purchases yet. I'll get that in by Friday. At this point you have the following choice: Ride it out until Friday, or take on another encounter for fun. There is no reward or benefit for taking on another encounter, and you can guess from the general degree of nastiness that this scenario throws at you that it won't be pleasant. If you just want to get some anger out on more nasty baddies you I'll oblige you. This evening if I see that most of you wish to kill more baddies I'll get it started, otherwise I'll assume you're content to patch up your wounds. Now... about those wounds...
A few of you have negative levels from the Ragewight. At the end of 24 hours you'll have the opportunity to make a saving throw to clear those negative levels (1 save per level for those with 2). If you fail, they become permanent negative levels. If you have Restoration cast on you now, you'll have them all removed. If you wait, you may get rid of the negative levels for free or you may find yourself stuck with more expensive permanent negative levels to clear. Restoration either removes all temporary negative levels for the spell + 100gp component, or removes ONE permanent negative level for the spell + 1000 gp component. You can decide amongst yourselves how you want to handle the levels, but so long as you clear them before leaving the table you can pool resources to pay for the scrolls. If you choose to leave the table with the negative level, I'll mark it on your chronicle and you can decide how to remove it later.

Hania happily gives 1000 gp towards getting her new companions healed (Silver Crusade faction check mark). She would be happy to contribute a bit more if needed.
Can I buy Chak a new scroll of restoration to replace the one he used on me, also? I'm hoping there's a way around the rules on wealth transfer for cases like this.

![]() |

I'm OK with holding here. I think I've used about 4000 gp worth of scrolls this adventure. Another fight and I may barely break even.

We had a lot of damage output in the party, so my skills seemed better put to use providing support.

So, lingering effects are as follows:
Jezebel - 1 negative level
Kaa - 1 negative level
Tessara - 2 negative levels
A scroll of restoration is 800 gp, so a total of 2400 gp will be needed to cover the removal assuming you wish to do so rather than bet on the save. If you fail the save, the cost jumps to 1700 gp / level. Hania's got 1000 gp covered so far, so 1400 left to divvy up.
Hania: After checking, it does appear that you still have no real way to 'reimburse' for a spend consumable. You can of course say that your contribution to the clearing of negative levels covers his share and that he should stop putting his claws into his coin-purse because he's already spent more than his fair share.

I'll buy the Restoration scroll for me. I was the one who screwed up by being careless and getting too close to the baddie. That one's on me.

I have a reroll as well and want to give it a shot. I also have a couple bullet purchases I'd like to make official. I had said towards the beginning that I'd like to purchase another 50 rounds of adamantine laced alchemical cartridges. Add to that another 50 regular alchemical cartridges.

Kaa's Fort DC 17: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Jezebel's Fort DC 17: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Both pass your saves to clear the negative levels even without your 4 star rerolls. Total price of Restoration scrolls is 800gp for Tess which Hania and Tess can argue about as for who is paying for them. As it stands I'm assuming Tess is buying her own unless someone says otherwise.
Here's a summary of purchases as they currently stand.
Upgrade cloak of Resistance to +2 for 3000 gp
Upgrade armor (spell storing) for 3000 gp
6 scrolls of frigid touch for 900 gp
Wand of cure light wounds (2 prestige)
Chak: 6900gp +2pp spent
I too have cash to spend, and thus would like to upgrade my belt of dex from a +2 to a +4.
I don't see any bullet purchases from earlier on. If you want to add any ammo purchases to that list, give me the quantity and price (or a link to the prd so I can be lazy while making chronicles)
Jezebel: 12,000gp spent
I assume that all daily use abilities have recharged? Also, would Hania have had a chance to buy a new CLW wand with prestige before she left?
Hania: 2pp spent
I'll buy the Restoration scroll for me. I was the one who screwed up by being careless and getting too close to the baddie. That one's on me.
Tess: 800 gp spent
Normally I just leave it to players to put their own purchases in on sheets, but since everyone listed said requests I guess I'll put em in this time. I'm sure some GMs would say I'm over-trusting of my players but meh.

Lol however you prefer is good with me. I'm fine with you marking the expense on my sheet.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Work hit me like a truck, and I'm sure some of you want chronicles quickly for slot 2 which starts tomorrow. As such I'm just going to go ahead and upload what I've already done, which should be accurate but doesn't include purchases. So... with that...
Let it be known that on this day, the following Pathfinders be recognized for their bravery and skill in the defense and closure of the Solstice Scar:
Hania "Smite makes Right"
Chak "Apprentice of Scrolls" Yuen Chen
Tessara "Clouder of Minds" Omelion
Jezebel "Bright Ray o' Sunshine" Skythe
Jaysin "Fight in the Shade" Deckert
Kaa, the Spirit Render
So let it be recorded in the Pathfinder Chronicles

So I know you are uploading chronicles without purchases, but just to be on the up and up here's the link towards the cost of my bullet purchases. Didn't know pfs prep had that on site :D
All told, it'll be 300 gp of regular alchemical cartridges and 1800 gp of adamantine-laced alchemical cartridges.
So an additional 2100 gp.
