Its fine. The dagger is better off in Grimm's hands because he will actually put some mileage on it. So he should take it. As for the mace, well there are a few problems. First, if it was used by a gnoll it probably isn't sized small. As a matter of fact, its probably longer than Gunk.

The other problem would be the weight. I jettisoned a bunch of gear earlier just so I could make weight and not take a bunch of penalties to my skill checks.

So all in all, were better off selling the mace and I will look into getting a mw dagger or some such thing to have on me.


There was also the small size warhammer +1 its up to you though.


It might be time to recruit a new player to breathe some life into this game.

Naziri you still around? I know you got busy at work and that's pretty much the only time you post.

My apologies folks but I must respectfully bow out of this campaign. Our district internet at work is so slow that loading paizo often takes 10 minutes or more ... if it loads at all. I have tethered my laptop to my cellphone just to make this post. Today I went to download a font file and the estimated download time is 24 hours. At the beginning of lunch today I tried to load my gmail ... that was 45 minutes ago ... and looking through the window from my office to my desk in my classroom I can see gmail is now about 20% loaded.

So I can only post from my phone during the day which is the time i'd make most of my posts. In the evening I coach two rep basketball teams so I'm kind of busy with that. Being a single dad, my evenings are filled with homework, housework, cooking, and sports. Then I just die on my bed until the next morning when I get up at 5:30 and start all over.

Sooo Dave... Do you want to recruit someone to play as Gunk, a character similar to him, or maybe a divine caster of some sort, or just continue on as a party of 4: Wizard, Paladin, Rogue, Ranger?

Oh hey Naziri, I was looking over your character sheet, and now that you are level 4 you have a +4 BAB, which means your power attack improves. It's now a -2 on your attack roll, but you get to add +4 to damage, +6 if you're going two handed like with a falchion.


No lets recruit. It will be a new level 5 character. I may pick up 2 just incase.

Damn Gunk I hate to see you leave as well. Your a good player. Well at least you got the IRL game.

Thanks for letting me in. I've been watching the thread for a while as Dave and I have been playing other campaigns. I knew if I ever hopped into this game I'd be given a run for my money on rules knowledge and strategy. I expect to learn alot in that area.

Tension with a Gnoll hating ranger goes with the territory:D

Welcome Kuralaak!

Hey, maybe you can have Kardswann's ax! Hajar and Naziri are the only other people proficient with it, but Hajar's got Tempest and Naziri his ancestral falchion. Unless I get bestow weapon proficiency, but the times I would actually use that spell would be few and far between.

Hey Kuralaak, your missing like 3 feats. Might I suggest the following

1) Wep Focus
2) Wep Specialization
3) Rapid shot

This way you could attack for +11/+11 within 30' and do 2d10+6 on a full attack. That would hit normally and average damage would be 13 per round, not too shabby.

I don't think it cast a spell. I think this is something else, Dave posted something about the wings.


agreed its either a SU or a SP. but all that it changes is the magic resistance or antimagic field and stuff.

But we still do not get a save avery round.

I would agree, except the confusion from Xulthos is a more or less constant effect coming from the beating of his wings. As soon as he stops, the confusion stops, but as long as he keeps beating them it's like another confusion/lesser confusion spell every round.

This works both for us and against us: on the one hand, we get more saving throws. On the other, even if we succeed on a saving throw (I think) we still have to make more afterwards.

EDIT: Just read through the last 8 posts of the GP thread; not sure what the ruling will be...


You stay confused. I reread it and it does say that.

Drone (Su) The beating of a glomeray’s wings creates an irritating
distraction. All foes within 50 feet of a glomeray must make a
DC 18 Will save or be confused for as long as they remain in
the area of effect.
Those who save take a –1 penalty on all attack
rolls, skill checks, and saving throws while in the area. Plugging
one’s ears allows a target to attempt an additional saving throw
against the effect at a +2 circumstance bonus. This is a mindaffecting
sonic effect. The save DC is Dexterity-based.


I am taking the -1 to hit in account on his AC so no worries there.

Ok, so some heavy duty rules questions coming up:

Raj is summoning a mud elemental: there is some disagreement on the paizo forums as to whether summoning them is allowed, however as the summon monster 2 spell says "small elemental" not "small elemental from the Beastiary 1", and the mud elemental is listed as, well, an elemental, I went ahead and did it. It has been allowed in pathfinder society games. If you are against this however, I will change to an air elemental.

Now for the clarification question: Raj has the feat Spell Focus (Conjuration) which gives him a +1 bonus to the save DCs for his conjuration spells. Does this bonus apply to save DCs for the abilities of Summoned Monsters?

I personally would allow the Mud Elemental if it was the same CR in the bestiary. As to the second question I would rule no on that one because their are feats like Augment Summoned and SQ and EX abilities that raise DC's for summoned creatures.

well new rules at work enforced by big firewall only lets me post when its lunch time now instead of any time i feel like it.

So its cutting me down to 1 in the morning , 1 at lunch and a few in the evening... :(
