Awesome. Though really it would be wasted on my car lol a 2004 hyundai coupe
How long did it take you in the mustang? There's a great episode of Top Gear where Sabine Schmit does it in just over ten minutes in a van!
B'yelka Morfaine |
Heh, I am slow as s!+%. The mustang has a good (enough) engine, but the 2008 model has a crap suspension. I had a 2006 (totaled it on the Autobahn in '07) that was much better. My new one has a huge amount of body roll and she gets squirrely as she tries to pull out of the turns, :)
Yeah, maybe when I grow up I can be as cool as Sabine! :D

Some good news and some bad news.
Good: I am getting ready to Retire from the US Army after 20 years! This means I am definitely moving - don't know where yet, maybe Maryland, maybe Qatar (wuh!?). My access will be shaky for a while (we are piggybacking a neighbor's WLAN right now) but I look forward to getting back to the US where internet speeds are way above my current pain of 2.7mb/s...
Bad: I am going to have intermittent internet for the next two months. Please do not hesitate to 'Bot me if you need to!

Regarding Echtmoor Dravin's body and belongings.
The only item we found on Echtmoor's body that was listed for us was the bloodstained invitation B'yelka translated.
In the weaverworm's den we found a potion of heroism, a ring of feather falling, and 721 gp in assorted coins, but there was no indication if any of those items belonged to Echtmoor or to previous victims.

Was thinking. If the guards rebuked B'yelka's Fascinate, then I only needed to use two rounds of Performance per encounter. 1 round to start Fascinate and 1 more for Prima Donna. So, I should have used a total of 4 rounds of performance. :) Plus the two from the spider fight...

Dantrian Almaeus |
dispel magic is a solid choice, though the greater version is much nicer.
You might consider these as well:
- control summoned creature (take control of a summoned creature and then make it's summoner burn standard actions trying to regain control)
- daylight (we are sure to deal with some light-sensitive undeads soon)
- lesser geas (given your struggles in trying to get those guards to do what you wanted!)
- slow (limiting our foes to single actions and taking away full-attacks can be a big swing)
Anton Klasnic |
Of the list that Dantrian mentions, Dispel Magic or Slow would be my picks. Both I think would get some good use. As much as I like Control Summoned Creature and Lesser Geas, I like them less on a spontaneous caster where your known spells are so limited. Just my 2cp worth.
Anyways... Anton V8.0

Dispel Magic is a boring, but good pick. I do like the idea of Daylight at some point. I'm sure this AP will bring us Vampires.

Honestly, I would just skip him. He hasn't leveled up, and I don't see anything immediate that could help (except Accept Affliction and I'm not sure that would work). With other characters, I would suggest a grapple aid another, but that doesn't seem to be in Ashan's character.
Dantrian Almaeus |
He could beat a sudden and hasty exit to accomplish another mysterious aim of his own while we're busy saving innocents from monsters, perhaps? =P
I also kind of got the impression his schedule sometimes explodes with his freelance design work. Knowing that he contributed to Occult Adventures, I'm wondering if he might be tapped for stuff in Ultimate Intrigue with the 2nd round of playtesting wrapping up.
Ashan Eilathul |
Busy bee is back. Sorry about the unannounced absence. I've had day-job and freelancer work piling up this month, a terrible confluence of out of state travel and ultimate intrigue deadlines. Also some other things I'll be able to talk about soon. I'm catching up on the gameplay thread now.

Funny you should mention that, dude. I was perusing d20pfsrd yesterday and saw a homunculuist archetype for alchemists listed there. Thinking that might have been the archetype you'd mentioned, I started reading it and grew more and more confused as the archetype gives up mutagen for an homunculus. Then I realized it was from the Animal Archive book and suddenly felt much better about the archetype you had actually been gushing about. =)
Still haven't had a chance to take a gander at your handiwork though, alas. I'll definitely give it a look sometime, but that's not a hardcover book I'm likely to purchase. Waaaaay too much of the book is stuff and classes I'm not interested in and after my experiences with Ultimate Magic and the Advanced Class Guide, I've decided even if I do pick up any additional hardcovers, I'll wait for a second or third printing before doing so.
Compared to OA, Ultimate Intrigue interests me quite a bit, but I know that book's a ways out yet.

Presuming these aren't unusual kinds of lycanthropes (and are werewolves) they typically qualify as both their race and shapechanger for favored enemy. Favored enemy humanoid quantifies by subtype, and based on the stat blocks in the Bestiary werewolves in both humanoid and hybrid form still possess their racial subtype.

Just to let you know guys I am away for the weekend. I will be able to post but it'll be on my phone so will be limited and I won't be able to move myself on the map
Drosil the Grey |
I have long wondered if he was a werewolf in disguise, envisioning a grand reveal where he rips our collective heads off. Just sayin'.
B'yelka Morfaine |
lol Dan, that'd be a cool bit of twisted in a Werewolf movie ;)
Has anyone here ever seen "High Tension"? It's a French slasher flick (and I normally stay away from Slashers...) with a pretty cool plot twist... *muwhahahaha*
Dantrian Almaeus |
Can B'yelka get a read on Feral's earnestness about aims aligning? Snese Motive, take 10 for a 29
Sorry I missed this earlier, B'yelka. You would totally feel that Feral is being truthful and genuine in his hatred for the Whispering Way and his desire to avenge Petros and protect Dantrian. You'd also probably have the inkling that those aren't his only goals though. That being said, he does seem to be absolutely forthright in his desire to tear down the Way.

Off to Gencon tomorrow. I'll be back on Monday.
And Dantrian, hat's off to a great intro for Feral! Between Dantrian, Feral, and Mosswick, you've got some real personalities to cope with. Wonderful job with all of them.

Just a note:
I am getting ready to leave the Army after 20 years; I will be moving around a lot and may have limited access to the internet. My new job will require a lot of travel too, but not to super remote areas. I will let you know if I need to drop off for a while. I plan on keeping up with this game!

I know I've been slow lately guys. Unfortunately I predict that's only going to get worse in the coming weeks/months.
The new teaching semester starts next week, and my school doesn't have enough teachers at the moment. So my work load is going to be heavy.
Also, I don't remember if I mentioned here yet, but Tibideau and I are going to be parents soon. That baby is going to be a giant time sink (as you parents out there know already).
On top of that stuff my RL social life is also more busy these days, with running a small historical european martial arts club, various games other than this one and keeping up with friends.
Oh yeah, and I'm still going to university as well.
So........please bear with me. I'll do my best :)
Janos Ardeal |
Mazel Tov, Jelani! Give all our best to Tibi!
No worries. RL bites everyone, and you sound like you have a lot going on. We've weathered a lot together. We'll be here.
And congrats, B'yelka too! That's a big change too. I know several people who have left the military and nearly all of them say it can be very daunting.
