I think this group is crying out for an arcane caster. Someone who can help with buffs, control and ranged damage.
I agree an arcane caster is typically what we'd need. Their strengths would generally fit well. I'll propose an alternative though to get your creative thoughts jumping: A ranged-focused/control-focused Druid.
Druids tend to have good (maybe not great) spell control ability, the animal companion can be another meat shield, summons are wonderful "get what you need" abilities, and if you focus on a bow user, then you have reliable ranged damage too. A Druid's nature focus lends to different spell buffs which sometimes stack better. Plus, the conflict of secret knowledge/undead/constructs vs. nature could be an RP gold mine. Imagine a druid admonishing Dantrian for his clinical, utilitarian views on nature while at the same time possibly being the best source of hope to control his transformations (i.e. Experience with Wild Shape). Or a LN Druid might share Dantrian's views, help him master the changes he's going through, and be the only one of us to dislike the werewolf personality change which is coming.
That said, Druids aren't everyone's cup of tea. A lot of people find it hard to get into their skin. Something like a Mooncaller Druid might fit in very well though.
More RP Gold: B'yelka hanging out with a 'savage'. Ick!
I've seen Rob do a wonderful druid before.
If you're into the new occult classes, Rob, I like the Kineticist a lot. They do the whole range thing, and can do some crowd control. But no real spells to speak of. An admixutre blaster wizard could be fun. Fling those 150 damage fireballs like Viorel used to do.
I really really REALLY hope that Dantrian actually contracts lycanthropy in the next adventure.

Oh dang. That would only raise the question of how many other wolves are inside him in addition to those two? =P
Or even better, Anton contracts lycanthropy. Is that even possible?
Or, laughably, B'yelka... Does that mean Dantrian would have to teach her more than the mathematics of her youth?

I just want to give you guys a heads up, my updates might be coming at a slower pace now. I recently had a bunch of work added to my work schedule, and now college is back in session too. I will try to keep things going as best I can, but patience and reminders if I forget are appreciated!

In theory Ashan should be able to be anything the group needs with proper forewarning. Basically he's magical Batman, thanks to his spirit guide archetype. I put his most commonly used spirits in his profile, but if necessary he can tap into others.
The above is actually doubly true with the Lore spirit, since I'll be able to add up to 4 Sorc/Wizard spells of up to 4th level on the fly.

Out of interest Ashan, have you geared up based on appropriate wealth by level? I'm not sure if you may need to change that because this is a very low wealth campaign and we are far behind that curve.
(Unless - woohoo! - we are about to become 8th level and find a dragon's horde!!!)

I did, thanks. Lots of snow so the skiing was great :) 5 hours on the slopes yesterday followed by 12 hours travel just about finished me off though.
Skiing? I thought I was going to have to ski into work today (I'm in the NE US) what with all the blizzard talk but I woke up to little more than a dusting. =P

Holy balls, that thing is ENORMOUS, Jelani! That is SO MUCH BIGGER than what I was expecting. As a player, I am well and truly terrified at this point.

The homonculus did fine in all respects except SCALE. I mean, this chucker is seriously big! I'm curious though if the module informs you what it's stitched together from? From your description, I'm imagining a weird, horrible flesh golem/drider/manscorpion thing with bonus lovecraftian horror-tentacles.
It's kinda vague, but yeah, basically. Like a Chuul mixed with a flesh golem, mixed with a huge sized drider.

I had hoped, small a chance as it was, to win a grapple the following round with another hero point (my last one, prior to your gracious bestowment of additional ones) and drag us both off the side of the tower into something like a gandalf v. balrog kind of plummet to the ground/water below.

Just keep him busy, Dantrian! Let him play with you. :) Trying to bring in the backup....Maybe the Beast can draw him down so we can get off this platform.
Also, Janos' favored enemies aren't really going to apply here, so I don't think he can give the Beast anything worthwhile. Unless maybe Power Attack or Lunge? Otherwise it might be better to have Drosil running him to get his sneak attack.
