Flurry Touch Attack against Dicebot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Flurry Touch Attack against Dicebot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Ha, what's your Touch AC, Dicebot? Even with the mediocre and suspiciously similar rolls you gave me, you just might be asleep!

Hey you guys! Popping back in with an update.
So we're all home and just dealing with catching up and late nights with my baby boy.
I am committing to not let the game stop. It's just my availability at this point. So keep hanging in there. I'm not comfortable committing to a hard date because things are just too hectic at this point.
I've also felt some hesitation because while there's certainly been times I could jump in and throw up a post, I don't want to jump in halfway. I guess that's a good question for you all. Would you rather proceed at a possibly jerk quarter speed or wait till we can go full speed before getting things going?
I miss you guys! :)

Hey, that's great! And it's really awesome that you want to commit to seeing this through.
I'm happy with a slow pace. A lot of my games have slowed down to a crawl at the moment but I'm enjoying the slow pace. But don't feel the need to scramble out a post for us if you aren't ready. I know how killer that GMs workload can be and you might just burn yourself out. But a slow pace and occasional radio silence aren't an issue for me. Lucon and his hammer will be there when there's a job to do!

Whatever's manageable is fine. If you've got the time, you don't have to worry too much about getting any big posts out. That said, most of my GMs are MIA at the moment, so it's not a huge deal if you want to take some more time either.
Enko Laberan |
Whatever you prefer, GM! I did some thinking and feel that slow is better than nothing---BUT, if that makes you sad for any reason, we can also wait until you build up more of a buffer.
I am confident this game will be restored. We have a solid team and a great GM. Fight, fight, fight the nuns!
Sabinus |
I am committed to remaining committed to this game whenever it gets rolling again, and I'm glad to hear you feel the same, Mug! I'm really fine with whatever pace you prefer. On balance I think I agree with Enko that a slow pace is better than none, but only if it works for you.

Good to hear things are going well- I know how rough it is for the first ... 3 years? I'll let you know when my oldest is manageable!
Slow, stuttery, or intermittent, the Viscount is here.
I'm rocking my last night of spring break by grading. Woooooo!

I'm likely going to be quiet for a spell. My router has up and died on me at home, and I've been having to couch-surf to get my uni work done. This week I've two units of work to write, the next due 12 hours rom now, and one 4k word assignment before I go out on my first school placement for two weeks. I'm yet uncertain where I'm going and how busy I'll be but I'll imagine I'll be pretty flat out.
Don't let my business stop this game from getting off the ground. Bot Lucon away! :)
GM Mug |
Hey all! Work has really kicked me in the kibblits last week, and this week will likely be no different.
Plus someone thought it'd be a good idea to start my MBA program... which has started so I'm doing some fast tap dancing. I'll get back in here as soon as possible.
Thanks for (hopefully) being patient!
Enko Laberan |
MBA program, eh? I thought about that, but then I got sucked into what's basically a paid internship in music. You're going to be a busy person, Mug, but it's so worth it! What will you do with that degree? Design games? Market games? Games? Sorry, I had games on my mind.
GM Mug |
I wish games. Probably shoot for an IT director type position.
lol. I miss you guys though. I got put on probation at work about a week and a half ago, and have been in a bit of a fight to keep my job. That's taken up a lot of my RL lately, long hours, early mornings, short lunches, etc... I'll be back as soon as I can.
Your ever-present but not here GM,
-Mug

I was once edged out of a job (via layoff, but everyone knew what was up) because I was busier due to kid. Two years after that, I landed a music gig as a full time job...very glad to have been shaken out of my rut. I hope you keep your job...but I hope you move on via MBA and good works as well.

Good luck, Mug. Employers should be legally obligated to cut parents of infants some slack -- heck, parents in general! As ever, we'll be here whenever you're ready!
GM Mug |
This is my shout to the universe that I am still alive and kicking! Just clawing my way out from under a bunch of rubble. :)
So things are good with me. School is harder and more time consuming than I'd hoped, but I keep telling myself it'll be worth it. Baby is growing cuter and less like a door-stop every day.
Just wanted to stretch my Paizo fingers, shake off some cobwebs and give a shout out to my lovely group and see who's still online. My current goal, as they've obviously gone through several revisions, is one post a week. As I feel that's doable and as I meet that pitiful goal I'll try increasing it slowly.
Missing my friends!

Busy?! Never heard of that before.
We missed you too Mug. I've had to fill the time with my other PBP and a live Skull and Shackles game I'm GMing. I even had to make my own sea version of a chase cards deck.
Glad to be back!
Enko Laberan |
Totally fine with one post a week as you find your sea legs again, GM! This game has been super fun from the get-go and I know it will continue.

Keep that thread alive, oh keep that thread a-liiive...uh, I don't know the rest of that Queen song. We are the Torchbearers, my friend, and we'll keep on fighting, until the end of the Adventure Path...

Things are much calmer these days, thanks! And it's nice to be sniffing around the boards again. It's a little odd, part of my brain is wired to ALWAYS be doing something when I'm on these paizo boards, posts to write, stories to tell, rules to lookup, games to apply for, etc... So just sort of hanging around casually is more than a little strange.
How are things with you?
Caladius Rend |
Pretty well, all things considered! I'm heading off to a mountain cabin over Memorial Day weekend for a writer's retreat - gotta admit I'm pretty excited about it. =)
I can relate to your old board habits though. It took a little bit of time before I wasn't compulsively perusing the recruitment threads =). If you've still got an itch to play in a game or two, we might be looking for a replacement soon in one of the games I'm in. I don't know if the GM has someone in particular in mind at this point or not, but I'd be happy to give you a plug if you'd like.
GM Mug |
Sounds like an excellent plan for the long weekend! I will be packing, moving houses here very soon, so less fun, but it's sure to be productive at least! A writers retreat sounds very cool! I hope it's a blast.
I just got into one slow paced game, I wouldn't mind a plug if you guys have an opening soon. We'll see if I'm able to ease into things or just rush in, head down and under full steam. :)
