Who are we liking as the chassis to build bootleg Dragonborn around? I think I might prefer Nagaji over Iruxi for it.
Also, this is hopefully enough to make the Battlezoo stans pipe down.
This feels a little unnecessary. It's quality work from ex-Paizo staff that the community likes - what's the problem?

We finally get dragons AND they're implemented in a way that makes 5e's Dragonborn look pathetic.
I'm super excited about it too, but isn't it a bit too early to say they're implementing it in a way that makes the 5e's Dragonborn look pathetic? Granted it's a low bar, but we barely know anything about their feat makeup. I have faith Paizo won't fumble the whole heritage, but still.

That feat looks extremely strong.
That's basically a Quickened rank 3 Fear every hour.
Level 13 feats should be strong, or else their level should be lower.
Keep in mind, this is three levels higher than Quicken Spell, is far more limited in its use, and uses up 1 of only 2 available feat slots.

It's not comparable to Quicken. This also gives the rank 3 spell, and this is also 1/hour. When other feats simply give a 1/day spell or something around that.
I understand that level 13 should be strong, but at 1/hour, a Quickened strong rank 3 spell is amongst the strongest ancestral feats printed so far imo.
Using old examples I would expected it to be 1/day.
Not saying here that it's bad if they are updating the power level, just that it looks atm as one of the outliers.

Definitely Iruxi; those two feat pools SHOULD be enough to cobble together a wyvarren (I hope)

Once per hour doesn't sound too out there, given the feat is eight levels higher than when you can acquire the spell by normal means. It'll also be dependent on your spell DC to be effective, which limits the number of builds who can use it. There's also the limitation of just how many encounters per day you're having. If you're having two or three then it's really not much better than just expending your 3rd-rank slots on Fear in any case; a reasonable thing to do given that, by level 13, your 3rd-rank spells have lost a lot of their punch.
I see it being very helpful for summoners, though, which is neat, and also having some utility for prepared casters, which is also neat.

I do hope that there are options for how a dragonblooded looks, considering it is a versatile heritage it would be kinda boring if it just totally overrides the original ancestry. Maybe a lineage feat that can do that, like it makes you look really dragon-y like the picture and you get claws and a bite or something.
Obviously aesthetics are easy to handwave but still
Very excited regardless, one of my friends loves dragonborn so this is an important step in bringing him over to PF haha

It's 1 action instead of 2 tht the spell s, and it also uses Class DC if your spell DC is low.
Basically it's the best out of 2 worlds, a martial+caster 1 action 3rd rank fear spammable as many times as you want (but with a 1hour immunity, so basically 1/combat)
How is that feat once per hour? I can't see any frequency mentioned anywhere on the reveal on Twitter.
Sorry, i meant 1/combat, enemies have a 1hour immunity, but you can spam it as many times as you want as long as there are different enemies.

It's the way people promoted it at every opportunity. I asked once how to make a draconic character and got like a dozen people saying to use Battlezoo Dragons even though I was very clear I didn't want to use homebrew. Also the people saying we don't need any official draconic options because it existed.

I don't instagram; can anyone describe what's at the link?
level 13 ancestry feat:
1 action:
Everyone around you 20ft wide rolls a Will Save against either Class DC or Spell DC (what's highest).
CS: no effect
S: Frightened 1
F: Frightened 2
CF: Frightened 4
After that everyone affected becomes immune to it for 24h

Honestly, that feat feels tame compared to Invisible Trickster's 1/hour Invisibility 4 on Sprite. Just be more or less permanently invisible in combat.

It affects all creatures within 20 feet, not all enemies, so you have to be careful not to tag your allies.
24 hour immunity.

This reminds me of my 1E party gathering around to huff my reincarnated Troglodyte so as to be immune to his Stench ability for the day.

Okay. I was going to just dismiss this feat as not my thing, but now? Now I'm tempted.
Definite kobold-nip.

LOL. I can just imagine a dragonblood kobold giant instinct barbarian.
Taverngoer sees everyone in the tavern cowering from the little Kobold sitting in the corner and is confused by their reaction.
*Kobold evolves into a large dragon and hurls a drunken troublemaker across the room as simply as he would have a mug of ale*
Taverngoer finds newfound understanding.

Honestly I can't wait to bring back my old PF1e half-red dragon (or fire-themed dragon) gunslinger character in PF2e without resorting to homebrew or third party content. I've been using Luis Loza's Dragonkin versatile heritage for a while now and Dragonblood will likely replace it. I just want to see if it brings wings as a feat tree and whether it will give a breath attack by default or needing a feat to get it (Dragonkin gives you a breath attack by default for instance).

I'm not going to get too excited about making characters until i see what the rarity of them are; if they are Rare, there isn't a reason to expect I'll get to use it right away.
Well, hopefully with the Tian Xia books coming out where dragons are so commonplace one can't sneeze without having to take them into consideration, they'll be Uncommon?

They might be Uncommon in Tian Xia but Rare in Core.

That would become incredibly annoying and once again highlight the problems of the Rarity system.

That's literally the intent of the rarity system. It's a feature not a bug.
Because uncommon elements are available in certain circumstances, it often varies by locale, even within the same setting. For instance, a katana is uncommon in the Core Rulebook and in the Inner Sea region of Golarion, but in Asian fantasy–inspired Tian Xia, a katana would be common and some western weapons might be uncommon. Similarly, in an elven kingdom, uncommon elven weapons like the elven curve blade might be common.

Yeah, I gotta say I like that, too. But, now I picture them chasing after newer and more mystically powerful bosses all the time now and growing increasingly yellow in coloration with each successive generation, like the Minions in the movies. Oh, great… now I can vividly hear how they speak, too!

...though as far as breath weapons go, it's redundant with Wyrmblessed. Sadness.
You can NEVER have too much dragon!
