Nah. I want it to be an AP. :P

Go for it then. Count me in. Actually, I can make multiple accounts to vote several times :P

I haven't seen this thread since 2009.
+1 to Numeria AP, does it count as a +1 due to elased time since last post? I hope so.

I can see my players making Thieves from the River Kingdoms, Knights from Brevoy, Holy Crusaders from Razmiran, Explorers from Ustalav, Demon blooded from the Worldwound, Agents from Taldor, and at least one pure Barbarian planning on becoming a Mammoth Lord.

Yes maybe I've thought about this alittle too much, time to go recharge the Sun Sword!

Of course since James has said they have APs planned out for like the next 6 years (but not the order), I wouldn't get too excited, yet.

Never trust second hand information...

If Paizo is listening, I like the idea of a Numeria AP, but please don't go all crazy and start creating new rules systems for "Technology"; PF RAW can handle it.

How is Sutter and Mona saying they are doing one second hand information?

Not trying to sound like Debby Downer, but until Paizo says it's going to the printer, it's all second hand info. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it published.

By that logic, the information concerning the module by this year's SuperStar is second hand information, too?

Shattered Star AP? Second hand?

Excited about a Numeria AP.

Also, that linked blog has a lot of really awesome insights from the developers, and info about forthcoming (or at least highly likely) products that might be down the road for Pathfinder.

Awesome link!

NPC Codex is second hand as well until next week.

If they announce Numeria I'll cancel my subcription even if it's just a part of single portion of the book in the path. I'm still waiting for them to recont it out...

I'd be happy if a Numerian adventure path or module would be released along side a companion detailing minor things about the culture of Numeria and the few constructs or tech known and seen. I'd be happy if the adventure was even kellids vs. the league.

I'd start subscribing. Power struggles between barbarian tribes, dealing with the horrors of ustalav, giant dungeon to explore...

My players and I would be all over this. I WANT THIS!

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I will also chime in as wanting this. I ran a few sessions of a dungeoncrawl through a buried ship in Numeria. Everyone enjoyed it, and the nightvision goggles I lifted from Dungeons of Golarion are still being used by the parties wizard. The gunslinger got a pair of rayguns that occasionally get pull out as well. It was good fun, I can only imagine how much better the official take on it would be.

oh my, not really ? Things like "Expedition to the Barrier Peaks" still cause nightmares. Nothing against some good technology or Steampunk, but... Sci-Fi ?
Too many headaches and conceptional nightmares rearing their heads.

There is a lot more to Numeria than just the Silver Mount.

Disparate barbarian war chiefs, vying for control of their land outside the reach of the Black Sovereign, each resentful to the "emperor" for their own reasons. Could explore the town of Iadenveigh, which despises the technic league and praises Erastil.

Really? Why? If you don't like it, don't use it. I have dozens of AP books that I will never get to GM, but keep up my subscription because the APs are so nice and the supporting articles so great.

I can understand that the sci-fantasy stuff isn't to everyone's taste, but I don't understand why it would make you feel so strongly about the whole AP line - unless you mean you'd only cancel the subscription for that AP.

Plus, I think you can rule out them retconning it now ;-)

First and foremost Numeria +1

I'm not a sci/fi nut, or a steampunk enthusiast per se. I like all fantasy, as long as it's done well.

That's what Paizo is best at. This company has a record of driving the gaming industry to higher and higher levels of standard.

Some people might gripe about the technology aspect of the setting, but I trust Paizo. They are going to do it right. The end result is going to be a more integrated customer base.

So, since I am already subscribed to the adventure path product line, I offer to not only buy every product that Paizo puts Numeria/Distant Worlds material in, but every thing they publish or put out during the year the AP is put in print. That's the best I can do for support. I hope it's taken into consideration.

This thread starts so amazing and cool, then later in 2012 they all ruin it...

Anyway I would try it out was it not that the bestairies are crawling with technology monsters and they use lazerguns, lazerguns are a step to far for me, robots could do if done properly but lazerguns are cartoony (piew piew piew just watch starwars...) and far from what I want to see.

So I think its sad news.

I like the idea of a Numeria campaign, and are currently running a Numeria version of Kingmaker called Rise of the Artificers (website on obsidian portal). This was entirely due to the PCs choosing a theme for the kingdom for the Adventure Path - choosing a technological based society. Therefore the current party were or are some how involved with the technic league of Numeria. I also adapted the starter feats in the Zeitgeist players guide. Currently I am drawng from a number of sources including;

Zeitgeist (en publishing - magic clashing with technology. Including laying a railway for there kingdom)
Iron Kingdoms
Chaostech

I really like the idea of the Numeria technology being similar to that displayed in the chaostech book by Sword and Sorcery, or similar to the art of HR Giger. Alien, foreign and strange, which have different effects on humanoids due to exposure. Chaostech also links current philosophy about information about the crashed ship at Star Mount. I am another advocate for the region and think it is a great area for Paizo writers to develop, continuing to demonstrate the rich cultural differnces of Golarion. So count me in for a Numeria themed adventure. I might discuss it some of my local writer buddies and get up to some mischief myself.

Liberty's Edge

I would definitely be interested in Numeria & Chaostech :)

I will always encourage the Paizo team to mix it up a bit on the adventure paths.

Well, since this thread started (then died off and then got "animated" A LOT has happened ... ) we are on the verge of a very AWESOME and WILD ride called "Reign of Winter" in which a lot of "unusual" things and environs happen. I have no "link-fu" abilities ... if curious go and look around the Paizo boards for "Reign of Winter" and look for its 5th part "Rasputin Must Die!" It is getting all of manner of reactions from the community good/bad/indifferent ... but DAMN if "Reign of Winter" doesn't sound incredibly (wait for it) ... COOL!

I envision a similar level of "coolness" with a Numeria AP. Sure it'll have the masses squawking ... but I really think if we the gaming community trusts Paizo ... we will see how GREAT a Numeria AP will be.

I look forward to it.

The thing with a Numeria AP is that it'd turn off a lot of players, I fear... which is a damn shame. Worse, though, is my fear that even if we do 10 "classic" fantasy APs and then on 11 we do a Numeria with promises to return to the classic model with number 12 that there'll be a mass freak out and subscription bailout and scorched earth. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong. But nevertheless... it's gonna be a long while before we get to Numeria in Pathfinder Adventure Path.

Sounds fine to me. That means you'll have lots of time to have little ideas about an AP come up to be put into your pocket until finally one will simply have to get all those ideas out into the open.

That attitude makes me believe that a Numeria Adventure Path if it came out some day would be very much worth playing.

Better still, give us DEATH BY ROBOTS.

Death by robots in Numeria?

AP might be a bit too much since that is a 6 month commitment for subscribers and it might prove a bit too controversial.
But since Paizo is increasing to 64pg modules I think they could easily explore Numeria with that, and if the module proved popular they could follow it up with a sequel and a Numeria campaign guide.
It wouldn't be as big as an AP but potentially a lot of content.

Dark Archive

I'm still holding out hopes for an AP that starts in Numeria and then maybe takes off into a planet hopping adventure after a book or two. Distant Worlds is still my absolute favorite sourcebook!

This thread reminds me about running the barrier peaks back in 1982. Mind you, we were a bunch of 12 year old kids and things tended to get silly, but memories of scouring the spaceship for all the laser guns and grenades we could find, and then launching a coup in Greyhawk city with those weapons by hiring a team of of halfling commandos. It all went swingingly until the grenades ran out..

I concur with Jeven, a whole AP dedicated to Numeria might be too much for my personal taste, whereas the new 64-page format of the modules might be an interesting approach when it comes to Numeria.

I'd love a Numeria AP, or at least more material on the country itself. If people don't like Sci-fi mixed with fantasy, they're playing in the wrong Campaign setting.

I don't know about that...Golarion has lots of places where the fantasy is relatively uncontaminated byt sci-fi. Now, if someone can't handle it being in the world at all, then yeah, they should probably find another world.

I've posted it elsewhere, but count me as another Numeria vote!

Well there is the guy upthread who said he's waiting for Numeria to be retconned out of the setting. Which is probably the funniest thing I've seen all week, even if it was posted half a year ago.

Count me in for a +1 as well.

Here's a thought, ladies and gents. Everyone's keen on Numeria here, myself included, but there's a thing that is going unmentioned. Specifically, the potential for a homebrew campaign featuring the Red Redoubt of Karamoss from Dungeons of Golarion. Yes, it's in Absalom. Yes, it's a megadungeon...but the deepest level is only CR 13 as presented! Who's to say that once the PCs overcome the deepest level of the Redoubtand (maybe) overcome the remains of the Machine-Mage himself agents from the Technic League won't be poised to teleport in and expose some other dastardly plot tying the Redoubt to Numeria herself?...

In short, I'm saying we have the material, and I'm not the only one on these forums thinking about a fan-made Numeria AP. We're relatively intelligent creatures, what's stopping us? EATERoftheDEAD's already on this project, and from what I've seen it looks fairly promising. Here's the link...http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2ovjb?Legacy-of-Sarkoris-A-FanMade-Numer ia-AP#1

Plus I like the Red Redoubt. Not gonna lie, a tech-centric megadungeon appeals to my inner Mieville fan.

So...are we getting a Numeria AP or not? It sounds like the Osrian one has flying space pryamids, etc. But no word on Numeria.

Well, per a post by James Jacobs over in the new AP thread:

James Jacobs wrote:
Worth noting: Although there's not likely to be much at all about aliens in "Mummy's Mask," that's NOT the same thing as saying there won't be much at all about aliens in ALL upcoming Adventure Paths.

So make of that what you will. :)

To all the naysayers of Numeria:

Liberty's Edge

Numeria in 2014 might work well if the August hardcover release for that year has some future tech and character options for using future tech.
Something like an Ultimate Eras with options for stone age, bronze age, different types of medieval campaign, renaissance, western, modern, and future.

Although if I were scheduling a Numeria AP I'd put it on the schedule for spring 2015. So they could announce Numeria at PaizoCon 2014, and then calm everyone down a few weeks later at GenCon when announcing a more standard fantasy AP.
