Same here. I found it was pretty quick to spin up a new character though in 2e relative to 1e. I used the Pathbuilder 2e app.

Axel has Envoy’s Alliance mentor boon (Skills) for our level ones if we level bump!

Silver Crusade

I make it 20 Challenge Points so that's the lower end of high tier,

Verdant Wheel

Do our new folks know how Level Bump works?

GM - Does Axel still have time to purchase new equipment?

Horizon Hunters

I have Rugged Mentor, so the Saving Throw bump is 2 instead of 1.

Silver Crusade

Yes you do Axel - just keep track of it.

Level bumps - from the Organised Play Guide.
Mentorship and PC Level Bumps
To provide low level players a more fun and fair experience, PCs whose level equals the adventure’s base level (such as a 3rd-level PC playing in a Level 3–6 scenario) gain a temporary boost when playing in the higher level range called a level bump to represent the higher-level PCs’ mentorship and support.

Increase every DC the PC has by 1.
Increase the attack modifiers, attack damage, spell damage, saving throw modifiers, skill modifiers, Perception modifiers, and AC of the PC by 1.
Increase the Hit Point totals of the PC by 10 or by 10%, whichever is higher.
These adjustments are less beneficial than gaining a level, yet they provide the PC more survivability and opportunity to contribute to the adventure experience, reducing the degree to which higher-level PCs might overshadow these less experienced Pathfinders.

You should also remind higher-level PCs to apply any mentor boons they might have purchased.

Apply the relevant adjustments to the PC's animal companions, eidolons, and familiars as well. If a value is already increased by applying the adjustment to a PC (such as a familiar's save modifiers and AC), do not increase the value a second time.

Thanks for sharing this info. I've played a lot of PFS 1e, but this is my first PFS 2e scenario.

I believe this is the PFS 2e guide, right?
Link to guide

One thing I'm not clear on is the schools associated with additional character options. Do PCs pick one of the schools or are these boons?
Link to schools

Radiant Oath

You get to pick your school.

Verdant Wheel

So, to summarize:

Our Level One characters enjoy the following "Level Bump" bonuses:

+1 to offense checks
+1 to defense DCs / checks
+1 to perception DC / checks
+1 to skill checks
+10 hit points

Then, they may choose up to two Mentors to improve these bonuses further, from:

1) Axel @ instead +2 to skill checks
3) Deerslicer @ instead +2 to saving throws
3) ??? @ Is there another higher level Mentor in the group?

Radiant Oath

I haven't taken any mentor boons for this character. They seem to be hit or miss depending on the faction the mentor belongs to.

Envoy's Alliance

Sweet, a level bump for me.

Verdant Wheel

Kidron Quintus wrote:

They cost 0 AcP.

Your faction’s grants additional hit points Kidron.

Radiant Oath

oooh

Horizon Hunters

The most inconsistently useful one that I've seen is the Grand Archive, which only helps low-level spellcasters.

Verdant Wheel

Kidron, are you purchasing the 0 AcP Protective Mentor Boon?

Studley, Maximus, Luca, are you guys Level Bumped and chosen of your Mentors?

=)

Radiant Oath

I will follow Axel + Deerslicer
+10hp
+2 skill check
+2 saves
+1 other stuff

Radiant Oath

Can I still purchase that?

Verdant Wheel

A GM question!

Silver Crusade

I'll allow it

Grand Archive

Can we both pick the same mentors? If so, then I'll go with what Studley picked.

Verdant Wheel

So, to summarize once more:

Our Level One characters enjoy the following "Level Bump" bonuses:

+1 to offense checks
+1 to defense DCs / checks
+1 to perception DC / checks
+1 to skill checks
+10 hit points

Then, they may choose up to two Mentors to improve these bonuses further, from:

1) Axel @ instead +2 to skill checks
3) Deerslicer @ instead +2 to saving throws
3) Kidron @ instead +13 to hit points

Luca Gilroy wrote:

Yes. Mentor Boons from Mentors can benefit multiple lower level characters.

The only limit is two Mentor Boon benefits per lower level character.

Radiant Oath

For some reason I cannot purchase the Boon, it says I do not qualify.

Radiant Oath

I wonder if that is because I have another boon that lets me be a part of the Knights of Last Wall?

Horizon Hunters

It likely means you don't actually have enough reputation with that faction yet. Sometimes you get extra reputation from a scenario on your chronicle but it doesn't get recorded in the system officially, so you can't buy the boon yet even though you should qualify for it.

Radiant Oath

That is wgat U was thinking
