1) Not planning on doing this, but my ADHD latched on and wondering if this works the way I think it does.

2) No, I don't know why I care

Oracle level 1
Wizard level 5 (takes a divine spell with Faith magic; level 3-2+1=2)

goes into Mystic Theurge
Sovereign Court

I remember a discussion a long while about about Diviner Wizard 5 and once you had that, you could effectively qualify for Mythic Theurge with that class alone. I forget what it was, and if that was before the spell-likes no longer count as spells for prereqs FAQ.

The usual assumption is that it takes wizard 7 to enter mystic theurge that way. It doesn't say that the domain spell is one level higher in any way, just 'using a spell slot 1 level higher than the spell’s actual level.'

But if your goal was a way of losing one level (so you have a divine class) and stay in the other class till you change over, it would work. just have to enter at level 8. Thank you for the info

They made an faq because of spell like abilities saying being able to cast 1 or 2 arcane/divine spells does not = being “able to cast divine/arcane spells” in regards to prestige class requirements

Note that is only spell like abilities.

The real question is why would anyone [other than necromancers] actually consider Mystic Theurge?

Don't get me wrong, for some of us, it's worth it...

Like I said, this is an ADHD thing...

I get it, and I really have nothing constructive to add.

I just like spamming Ryze Kuja's necromancer build every chance I get... I feel everyone NEEDS to know how to acquire ~300HD of Undead. Lol.
