Thanks, I'll need it.
Singapore has just implemented a circuit breaker, which to me is a nicer word for lockdown. Ever since I've been working from home I've been cooking for my in laws family - and now getting groceries will be challenging due to panic buyers. My husband suggested we all eat canned food, and I pray it really doesn't come to that.
I may be slower in response, my apologies.
Also it's not doing my sanity any good with all fitness classes cancelled. Gyms are closed too.
I'm the sort of person that if I promise you something, I will die trying to fulfil it, so if I promised my in-laws I will cook, I will see it done.

Best of luck, Mort. Hopefully your in-laws will help you out by helping get the groceries and other chores.
Do you have access to a sunny-ish window or a patio/deck (or a yard) where you live? If so, you might try growing some herbs and even some leafy vegetables, like lettuces, arugula, etc. If you can get the seeds, many herbs will grow like crazy in small windowsill containers inside. Leafy greens will take longer of course, but once they get growing you can often harvest a third or so leaves/greens at a time from each plant and the plant will continue to grow and put on more leaves.
I've also had really good luck saving->sprouting->growing the seeds from store & farmers' market tomatoes and peppers, for example, and both do well in 4-5 gallon containers/buckets. (Even though you're growing the same plants. Carrots and potatoes grown from cuttings are also supposed to do quite well in containers. They all do take many weeks until harvest, but it is a hobby that will act to help keep you mentally occupied/distracted. Or maybe one of your in-laws might like to tend the plants? And if you start them in some decent soil, you can keep amending the soil with leftover tea & coffee grounds. Leftover eggshells soaked overnight in water (or leftover tea/coffee) also makes a gentle "tea" high in calcium and other nutrients that many growing plants will love.
Even if you grow veggies or herbs you're not keen on eating, you can likely find a neighbor you can barter them towards some other foods, goods, or service you might need.

Can you launch a mininuke far enough to annihilate a charging horde of super mutants without also annihilating yourself?

Maybe. I've never tried.

Let me know how it goes.

I think Mort that us in the US will quickly overtake you with COVID-19 problems. in my immediate area we have 16 confirmed cases but they only tested like 64 people so that's like what 20%? we have a stay home order except for us essential people. I don't feel very essential with only 12 guests but I will take the hours.

So our game was switched over to roll20 for obvious reason first time running with roll 20 wasn't to bad will probably get easier as I learn how to work everything. It went slower but probably because we couldn't figure everything out immediately. Not quite as nice as face to face but it will do.
We've done Roll20 (with google Hangouts for voice) the last two weeks. It's fine, but yeah I prefer face to face.

Our public health department website shows 55 confirmed cases for the county. 16 recovered, 39 active (9 of them in the hospital), and 0 deaths. Doesn't state number of people tested.
As for being "essential", at least your hotel still has guests. We're sending the few reservations we get next door, so the desk clerks are now basically just security guards for an empty building. But, yeah, still getting 40 hours a week (for now).

I actually scared 2nd shift when I came in tonight. I came through the side door, like I always do, and went into the restroom to get changed. Then I came out and was walking down the hall to go clock in, and he came around the corner, face white as a sheet, saw me and went "Oh thank god it's you." I guess he wasn't expecting me.

Wow so no guests and your still getting 40 hours? man you are living the dream.
Sure. Basically it's come in, walk the floors and couple of times, do any dusting or vacuuming that might be needed, run the audit, and go home.
They aren't even cutting our pay for this. I guess they're worried about how hard it would be to cover our shifts if we quit.

I half figured it out in a day. so not terrible. Their is a pay option but so far all I've seen that the pay option gives is more little icons for avatars and scenery which since you can pretty well upload whatever picture you want it's doesn't seem necessary. I think the only real costs is everyone getting all the hardware mics head set etc which really most people probably have.
It did take us like 2 hours to get everyone ready but I think next time we should be able to just start right up.

So what’s the learning curve like on Roll 20? And is there a cost?
My group’s looking at options, but I don’t have a lot of extra mental space right now to absorb more new info...
There's no required cost and I have found the learning curve quite low. I ran my first successful session on Roll20 with Discord for the vocal group interaction, and while there were some hiccups, it worked fine. there are tutorials and a lot of advice on how to use them on the web.

If you dont really need maps, just using discord works great. Use it for voice, ad a diceroller to it.
