Yeah that is probably gonna happen... sigh....

As usual I'm really hoping gran is wrong.

Well I know what I want them to carve on my tombstone now. Thank you.

That is a thinking man's tombstone.

With how my work life has been going I'm really feeling the millennial mindset of burnout and depression.

Time to head on down to the old Chuck E Cheese?

Ah yesh the old Chuck E Cheese Benders... who hasn't been on one of those?

Now I want Sean Connery and Monkey Santa to make a 'night on the town shenanigans' movie together.

Sounds like an instant classic.

My 2E GM guide made it in. It seems like a necessity. doesn't have anything that real excites me just stuff that I need for basic functions of the game. Some of the alternate rules are good too. It's a lot of the stuff that the core pf1 book had in it like planes and environment hazards etc. NPC section was well filled! Players guide is the one I'm really excited about.

Good luck Vidmaster7 on your job interview. Northern Italy, where my cousins mother in law stays, is now under mass quarantine. We thought she'd be safer in Italy then Singapore back then but clearly that's not the case ><

It's moving around quick. It's like watching a game of plague inc in real time.

And the economic impact is...airport top management are taking pay cuts, wage freezes everywhere..job market is bad, yeah I sound like a doomsayer but that what it feels like.

Also I doubt I will be able to visit my brother this year or travel out of country.

I work at a hotel. I hadn't noticed much of a difference until today. I could be a fluke but we will see.

The Exchange

Sentosa, our touristy place looks a lot emptier as is our train.

Yeah usually we would of been sold out but we were more like half cap. If we are like this tomorrow I can about guarantee what the reason is.

MrT is mandatory working from home for the rest of the week.

So he has to pity the fools from home then.

You know what? No. I’m all out of pity for fools. So tired...

Yes fools should be dispatched not suffered.

Aiymi's employer isn't making work-from-home *mandatory*, but they are suggesting it if you feel sick or have concerns about others being sick.

Granted, they're a small company still fighting for financial survival, and only just this year even started offering their employees health benefits, so they have a slightly skewed take on the world.

My company has no excuses. They have merely parroted the "if you're sick and you can stay home, then you should" line. Of course, our local executive thinks that's stupid, because of course she does.

She's not speaking in terms of conspiracy theories, just thinking in terms of "that won't come here".

Yelp another unusually slow night. hmm. No complaints from me.

Told you. See if the trend continues for the week.

[shameless self-promotion]I mentioned this on another thread, but ICYMI, I have a book coming out. (I'm reviewing the final proof copies today and if all is good, it should launch by the end of the month.)[/shameless self-promotion]

Super awesome!

The climbing gym I went to had a confirmed Covid 19 case

And I didn't know until after the fact as the post was only done on Tues night, I went in for a Tues lunch climb

Oh no! Hope things turn out ok!

The Exchange

I think they should have sanitized everything after the suspected case and anyway I'll keep an eye on myself for the next 2 weeks. After I started this whole fitness regime thing I don't fall sick very often - when I was asked when I last saw a doctor for an illnesd I was like urm... 3 months ago?

Mort, you have far less to worry about than we do here.

WHO says Singapore kicks ass while the US sucks...something...

Everyone needs to learn to respond to epidemics like Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, etc do.

Oh I love binging with Babish. I've made a few of his recipes I don't have a stand mixer which is like his favorite thing so theirs quite a few I can't do.

6 reported cases of love potion number 19 in the city closed to me. And yes the hotel has been slow all week. I feel like it's kind of amping up every day.

I haven't heard of any cases nearby, but there have been a lot of events cancelled. This means the hotel is very empty. The managers have instituted some cost cutting measures - fewer housekeepers per day, no fresh cut fruit on the breakfast - but unless they close the hotel completely, I shouldn't be affected. The only way to really save money on desk staff would be for the managers to work the shifts themselves, and that's not likely to happen. Especially on 3rd shift.

Yeah I'm not worried unless they close the hotel which is really unlikely because we do still have some contractors that are working nearby taking about 1/3 of the rooms. They won't be going anywhere. Since someone always has to be here and I am both full time and have seniority I won't be having any trouble that way. Their is no way our manager would work my shift 5 days a week.

Oh I finally beat defect 19. and the other to are at 12 now. still no watcher. The final downside to 20 btw is double boss.... so yeah...

I haven't played any StS in a few weeks. I was getting a little burned out on it, so I stopped before I got too much so.

Yeah that's fair I was off work last night and played like 12 games total before I beat 19. Probably won't play again for another week.

So one of my guests just told me that their college was closing down. apparently university's are shutting down indefinitely. crazy.

Nifty fact tho apparently the way I already live my life is basically social distancing. yay!

Yelp that was the 5th person since I've been here (hour and a half) that had to do some emergency moving out because of the universities closing.

US does not have enough kits to test for Covid 19 =( So they're trying to do damage control by shutting down places where people gather. We're not allowed congregations of more then 250 people now.

Oh and on the fun side, I crossed all these 3 sets of monkey bars, hand over hand and my paws never touched the floor. Yep I wrapped my hindpaws around the pole as I pulled myself over to the next set.

Indeed, I've been social distancing for years now! We're trend setters!!

How could we know to have enough test kits, it's not like this has been simmering elsewhere for four months beforehand...
