I was really hoping not to have "Love Shack" in my head for the rest of the day, but you just had to put it there.

Think of it as slappin' music.

Now THAT'S a genre I can get, behind!

And now, a non-sequitor. I only discovered Spotify a few months back but I love it. I'm finding playlists of artists I haven't heard since my misspent youth in the 80s. Today it's a Jag Panzer and Icon day!

So it looks like the seller is inclined to accept our offer. Close is scheduled on the 31st of July, with a lease for up to two months while their new home is completed. Cyz and our realtor came up with a realistic rent and concessions for us living with the in-laws until Sep/Oct. I really hope this sale goes through, as I really see us staying in that house permanently.

Sounds like you may get the chance!

Outstanding!

Splendid! :)

Moving is Over-rated, fill this box. Lift this box. Put box on truck. Take off truck. Empty box into piles A, B, or C. Now it takes you ten years to know which pile contains what. Better not to move at all. Well, the system works for me.

Moving is over-rated. That's why when I move again, I'm hiring the Rock and Kurt Angle to move stuff for me. :p

Also every time people say "We need to slap more people." I get reminded by "How I Met Your Mother"'s slap bet.

Tonight's game featured a point where the players had to decide between crossing a river of blood that flowed across a room and up a wall as if gravity twisted, and a pitch-black room impenetrable to darkvision in which a little boy sobbed about how his lamp had gone out.

They chose the river of blood.

I'm loving this campaign.

You should have played Slayer's "Raining Blood" as they crossed...

I wish I could "heart" that.

Wait'll they come across the conveyor of freshly stomped orphan meat. Heh, heh, and then... the meat dragon!

It's been a really tense day on a personal level, I tore my shorts out, and somehow a walking cane behind my bedroom door fell and blocked me from opening it. I finally managed to get that out of the way. Ugh.

But I was a little hungry so I thought I'd go up to my favorite Chinese take-out place and order some egg rolls. Nothing much, just some egg rolls. As I was about to leave the lady who owns the restaurant asks me if I want an order of chicken with vegetables. Someone called in and they said they couldn't come to pick it up, so she just gave it to me. So, I had dinner and some egg rolls left over for breakfast! Go, me!

This 2014 april fool's day confession talks in length about what could be done to make moving less inconvenient.

To me, I detest moving. Number one way to strees yourself out. Period.

Buuuuut,.... It IS the only way I can seem to MAKE myself throw away things that I otherwise will not let go of.

(I MIGHT just have a teensy, weensy issue with being a packrat. Not full on hoarding, just extreme pack-rat-itus.) ;P

Although, I am doing pretty good these last 2 weeks with tossing stuff out. I need to keep going while I am in that mind set. Once the pack-rat reasserts itself it may be another 10-20 years before the tossing bug strikes again! ;)

The last time I moved was 6.5 years ago, into my current abode. I hope to live here a long time because of my anxiety issues, which are getting worse as I get older and would probably have me hospitalized because of the stress.

Hello, everyone!

Hi ya, John!

So we got screwed on the sale of our home by the appraiser. He valued our property 12k lower than our asking price. So our agent and the buyers agent are appealing it to the lender, but we're almost certainly not getting what we asked for unless the buyer comes up with cash to make up the difference. Cyz is depressed and frustrated at losing actual money, but really I just want out of the house. We will see what they ultimately come up with, but it's not a great day.

Oh no. I remember you saying how much you liked the house. That's terrible news.

We can still go through with things. We just won't be at as nice a financial position. I'm looking at pulling from my Roth to cover the difference.

Oh, I see. That is also a bad thing.

It's a rock and hard place situation, since the AC unit is near 20 years old and needs replacing. Our current buyer is fine with the concession we made, but if this falls through it will likely be a larger expense for the next one.

Ugh. So much headachey.

At least you guys didn't end up destroying/tearing off the exterior paneling on the front of someone's garage door...

Just thought I'd make you all feel better if I could.

That and having a lighting followed by a clap of thunder like a Hulk clap that rattled my neighbor's home whom I'm nominally house sitting for (IE the alarm company calls ME when there's a trigger...) and there's nothing wrong with the house.

Welp, it's been a weird day, at least physically. Feeling exhausted, weak, and dizzy all day. But on the plus side, my anxiety has lessened a bit. My son and his village idiot roommate should be moved out by next week and I'll have my solitude back. My son is only moving next door, but we both keep pretty much to ourselves.

Goodnight, and have a pleasant tomorrow!

Howdy, y'all! How's your day treating you?

USA! USA! USA!

(Taking an early end to the week to watch the Women’s World Cup match).

Soccer is one of the few sports I can actually watch and enjoy. My friends make fun of me for it but I find it to be much more enjoyable and action-packed than American football. So go Team USA!

My day is good. It would be better if I could find that other check one of my client's wrote me for this week's work.

Mostly enjoying the fact someone invented AC...and wishing someone would find the casket of eternal winters.

I may have just had a game inspiration moment from that last sentence...

That match was the highlight of what has been a craptastic week. Woooo!

Is it over? Who won?

yay for Friday!

I just have to get through this ONE MORE concert, and I am DONE with 'shows' for the summer!
(Just another week of orientations in July, and a lot of repairs of things, but thats OK) :)

In fact, as early as Sunday, I will be blowing this town AND this state for TWO WEEKS.

TWO. WEEKS. OF. NOT. BEING. HERE.
:D

I can already feel my stress leaving my body,...
AND feel the new stress that will dog-pile on top of me upon my return,...

;P

But thats THEN! :)

Happy week-end all!

The US beat France 2-1. It was hard-fought and close. Lots of shoving and yelling... I get shovey and yelley when I get excited.

That is an artifact of the Bleak Lady and I will not allow it to fall into any other hands.

I thought it was a Frost Giant artifact myself... I mean they use it the most...

And yes, USA (women) versus France was an epic clash.

The Lionesses (English womens' 'soccer' team) are also through to the semis, which is a good do :)

Yes! I saw that game too. Awesome stuff! MORE YELLING! MORE SHOVING!

It's good my ancient dog has gone totally deaf. This sort of primate sports-hooting used to stress her out to no end. Now she just sleeps the match away whilst I vocalize to my heart's content.

I don't try to shout so much because my German shepard mix thinks I'm crazy... Plus he's already a little nuts anyway.

So yeah, England's Lioness versus the American Daughters. We'll see how that goes.

As one does.

We have a few converts among their number. We have a mutual appreciation.

Worst case scenario happened. Best we can get is 10k back, barely covering the expenses put in to get the house ready for sale. Got some hard thinking to do this weekend.
