They're locked in with AT&T. We can't switch phone carriers because my son's phone isn't paid off yet and the contract isn't up. Dang it.

So who wants to come to my house and fold towels and sheets? I can't pay you for your time except to let my dogs fawn over you because you're a stranger.

Our car wouldn't make it.

Dang it.

Sorry Cal, I'm still stuck here until the end of 2019. :p

Man, it looks like I'm going to have to do this myself. Tomorrow.

Maybe some good news for you, Cal?

A friend of mine who introduced me to HU sent me the link. It's in Nashville, which is 6 hours from me by car. I'm going to see Iron Maiden there in August, but that date IS close to my birthday, so cross some fingers!

Still haven't folded towels. I'm not great at the domestic arts...lol

Pretend you are instead a towelbender maid in a fancy hotel making origami (toweligami?) swans. Or Kubo and the Two Strings foldsummoning an animate towel army.

{quietly pushes own baskets of unfolded laundry out of sight}

We Fremen have a saying: God created laundry to train the faithful. One cannot go against the will of God.

All I know is I need to do mine a lot because all my work shirts (which are just grey and white Fruit of loom t-shirts) need to be washed before the start of Monday...

Welp. We’ve reached the part of summer where I put on Christmas music and pretend REAL HARD.

I'll send my wishlist to Santa Monkey to help get folks in the spirit of things!

No.

Imma tell you what I want.

Call it a 'list of demands' and let's just say, if you don't want to get monkey pounced...

Sorry Cal. He rolled an ice cream truck earlier in the day and he's all hopped up on sugar. You're on your own...

He's a monkey on the edge.

Two things:

1) I'm trying REALLY hard to not cry about what happened to the poor people at one of my favorite Japanese animation studios...

2) I still think Santa Monkey is a ploy by the Ultra-Humanite and Gorilla Grodd.

You sound like my daughter. (Now college age)

In July she starts playing her Christmas music, and doesn't stop until January.
;P

OK, so I've zig-a-zig-ahhed to the point where I'm at risk of a rupture. Happy now?

Oh Monkey Santa,...

Making you laugh so hard you pee yourself since,...

I can't remember, I was laughing too hard! ;P

I stand by #2 more today than yesterday.

Also glad I took my advice and didn't walk dogs that much today. They still got out though! (not escape but out for short walks.)

And yet it continues to swelter out. I'm beginning to suspect this whole "magic of Christmas" thing might not work the way I think it does...

Pfft. "Magic of Christmas." I got the magic of Frigidaire and that's good enough for me.

I have you both beat, I have the Magic Mike.

Oh no, you're not skipping over the best season of the year just to get to that solstice nonsense again. Those whole three months between now and then are the best part of the year and I'm sure as Seelie selkie skins not going to let you forget it!

Stoner rock titans 'Sleep' are coming to Manchester in the autumn, and I would very much like to go. The gig starts at 18:30, though, which seems weirdly early...

Loads of good bands touring later on this year.

As you're probably aware, today is the 50th anniversary of humanity's first manned voyage to another world. Few people today really understand the impact that had on the whole world. Take a moment to think about the science and the spirit that accomplished what was once thought impossible. Here's hoping that after 50 years we can do it again.

You went to space, yeah mate, good on you!

I'm just hoping in 50 years to be around long enough to either download my consciousness into something or travel to Middle Earth (and I don't mean New Zealand)

Good news is: We can download your consciousness.
Bad news: You’ll be stuck in reddit for eternity.

Was fun.

Welp, I've had enough of this whole "being awake" schtick. I've tried it for several hours now and it's not what the brochures made it out to be.

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Mine was pretty good up until the last couple of hours, when a disgruntled player on my NWN server started harassing other players and I got pulled (partially) away from the event I was playing in to deal with it as an admin. So that's been fun.

Hello, everyone!

Have you tried CBD oil, I know someone that uses it for their insomnia.

Happy Monday???
0_o

Now THERE'S an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.
>_<

Started off with no breakfast, no coffee, no nothing, so I could go in and get my 'fasting bloodwork' for my primary dr visit next week.

NOW I'm getting my breakfast-shake-and-coffee-breakfast on so I can actually try to get work accomplished, before I go to my kidney dr this afternoon, oh yeah, and I have to run to a nearby town for a coupel of hours of rehearsal for a show Im in somewhere in there too,...

Argh, I agree with Garfield on Mondays,... :P

I have tried it, both for insomnia and joint pain. It didn't really do anything for either. My brother and his wife seem to get good results from it, though.
