I'm surprised "City Hall" isn't an entire plane in Pathfinder.

I have a serious dice habit, but I've been sober now for over a year. Over the span of two years, I spent over $500 on dice and realized I had to stop. The only new dice I've received in all that time was a new set from a friend last October for my birthday. But I just saw some of the new lines from Chessex and I'm really having a hard time not diving into my PayPal credit account and wiping it out completely. Holy cow they have some nice sets now.

Wow, that must be difficult. Stay strong. :)

Thankfully, I've been able to totally resist the siren calls of miniatures and dice.

replaces Transformers with MG Gundam kits

I know how hard it can be to resist buying new dice, but one thing that I find helps me is following dice kickstarters. They are usually less than chessex dice, the money goes to someone who is just starting out in their craft usually, and they provide regular updates so I know when the new dice are coming. Following the process and knowing new unique dice are coming eventually helps me keep from blowing money on dice that just look pretty on the internet one day.

Although the fanclub company and the IDW comics have added many new female characters to the Transformers canon in the last few years, very very few actually have a figure. Of those that do, they either have crappy figures or one decent figure from a limited production run that is now sky high in price. So, I made a list of characters for which I wanted figures and then started acquiring figures from the same or very similar molds. They'll all need repaints, new heads, and usually a couple or more custom parts (3D printed from Shapeways/Thingiverse, made from Sculpey, or kitbashed from other figures' parts).

I plan on starting with the easiest two: Knock Out (figures had flimsy enginnering in bot mode) and his conjunx endura, Breakdown (voyager class figures were awesome, but only released in Japan). Their new bodies just need new custom heads -- which I will first attempt with Sculpey, but I can commission 3D printed versions when if that fails -- and new paint & sealer. Next up will be figures for:

* Arcee: all but one of her figures are too skinny and shellformers, the one figure I liked was a limited edition, is now too expensive, and could be even better
* Anode (has no figure) and her conjunx endura Lug (also has no figure)
* Shadow Striker (figures have crappy car modes and/or crappy bot articulation)
* Nautica: one figure, not bad, but limited edition/too expensive and could be better
* Strika: one decent figure, but limited edition/too expensive and isn't chonky enough. Seriously.
* Strongarm: warrior class figures actually aren't bad and not too expensive, but she deserves even better

And that's just the start of the list.

I can appreciate their engineering and they look pretty cool, but Gundam and Macross kits just don't do it for me. I dunno why, I think it was Transformers just got me first and very early as a kid; those hooks sank in deep.

That being said, I stumbled on Kotobukiya's M.S.G. line of gunpla accessories, and OMG there is so much awesomesauce in there. There's a gunpla store in Daytona Beach and if I wasn't trying to stay on some kind of a budget, I'd be ordering at least half the M.S.G. parts in one haul.

D-wreck: I love the rootbiter! We need more low level, thematic fey in this game. My favorite part is the naming convention of their group: Infestation :)

The only question I had was why so low on the DR? A Mite is a CR 1/4 with the same base AC, less HP, but a higher DR. Are you trying to balance out the gremlin's 9 HP? I wonder if it would make a difference upping that DR to 2/Cold Iron or even 5/Cold Iron instead.

As soon as I read the description of their Blighted Presence ability I immediately had this scene in my head: the druid in my one game who always seems to have a Goodberry cast all the time, pulling out some of the said berries and noticing they're all rotten. "Rootbiters…" she sneers wistfully. "Are you sure?" the Investigator asks. "Yeah, and by the looks of this, lots of 'em. Everyone fan out and look down..."

I haven't looked on other fey when I wrote it. On the other hand, I gave DR 2/cold iron to more power fey in the past so DR 1 felt natural.

Lovely scene plot-wise though technically impossible, Blighted Presence as Written only works against area effects. Of course there could be an older rootbiter that has an aura that actually spoils plant based spells.

Teenagers exposed to grammar radiation sounds like an origin story.

Gnaborretni (⸘) sounds like a wizard's name. Or a Mafia family of gnocchi smugglers.

Hi, kids! I just got home from the hospital! I began having chest pains Saturday night but they hadn't stopped by Monday so I checked myself into the ER. They didn't find anything amiss so my cardiologist said for me to stay overnight and be monitored. Fine. Yesterday I took a chemical stress test and waited all day for the results. Never heard a thing and the doctor didn't come by last night to let me know what was what. Finally, his nurse comes in this morning and asks what he said last night. I told her he didn't show up and she seemed kinda pissed off about that.

She gave me the results of the tests, all of them, and the absolute only thing they found that wasn't textbook or better was the X-Ray showed an enlarged heart (which I assume was mine). I asked about that and she said to really be sure I'd need an ultrasound because X-Rays can be misleading when it comes to that sometimes. I'll probably be having one of those soon. But I told her I had to come home today. My dog sitter couldn't stay another night and my anxiety about being away from my house was setting in bad. So I'm home again, home again, jiggity jig.

That's good news all around!

Here's hoping the ultrasound contradicts the X ray

Ack!

Sorry to hear it! That stinks!

Hope things turn out ok.

Wistfully I finished my Strange Aeons campaign today. I altered the ending significantly (SPOILER DETAILS HERE) and it went over... I want to say well. As one of the players said: "I'm simultaneously happy and depressed so good job?"

Hey, don't love the player, love the craft.

It is sort of bittersweet when a campaign ends, isn't it?

It is. But I'm looking forward to taking a break from the GM chair and running through some Starfinder as a player.
