They've already implied that if they do end up doing Mythic, it's most likely to be represented by characters being bumped up a tier (ie, Master when you would otherwise be Expert). Mythic would itself be added as a proficiency tier after Legendary, allowing even crazier stunts.
That said, they aren't developing mythic at this time and it won't be in the CRB. But the core structure of the game is already set up in such a way as to allow it.

I could get behind that sort of Mythic. The problem with Mythic Adventures was it seemed like it was just "Moar numbers!!111oneoneone". So I could definitely get behind a revamped Mythic that changes the fundamental nature of a character rather than just giving the character higher numbers. Hopefully if any of the legendary skill powers are too over the top they'll get put aside for the new Mythic Heroes book.

Yeah, I'd be game for that too. It restricts the truly mythic abilities to level 13+ when you would otherwise gain Legendary in normal PF2, and would be a fun romp even at low levels with players who are experienced with PF2-as-published. Getting to wreck house with higher tier abilities at low level, having that anticipation of the more potent stuff in your character's future, but facing commensurately greater threats to go with that power.

Curious if there will be some form of Mythic in 2nd edition.
I know its rather early, but because it is built into Golarion /setting already, just thinking how it will be handled in the new edition.
I doubt it, unfortunately. I really liked mythic adventures (it’s one of my favourite PF1 expansions) but it was not well received. I think it will be quite some time before they’d revisit the concept.

This is a really good idea. It seems like a great way forward. Still able to tell and play through mythic storylines (Example: Test of Starstone) without adding to much number crunch and complexity!

Mythic was great in theory. But it fell apart in practice.I bet they could do a much better job the second time round.
But it probably has as much chance of being updated an expanded as Words of Power or any of the other subsystems. I imagine the designers would rather do something new and different rather than re-do something they already designed/

Don't know about a Mythic or Epic system, but I'd quite like to see a decent amount of support for the level 20 game so we at least get some use out of our capstones ;)
