I only see the 1.04 version.

Also: I don't know how to save the PDF with my entries. If I save it (with a new name or just clicking save), it's empty. If I print it as PDF, the form fill is gone and I can't change it anymore.

It really depends on what apps and OS your using to open and use the form. I can only state that Windows systems running Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader can use the sheets I made fine. Other applications may cause problems or inconsistencies and the only issues I have had reported were from apple products/OS's or non Abode applications for the most part.

I just double checked and 1.06 is up and available at the link in the thread above (and the one in my account information field).

Hi, I just want to say thank you so much for all the work you do. I saw you added a page to the normal character sheet for additional information. I have one request. Starship character sheet can you add a page for the cargo hold so we can have a list of what equipment is located in which bay or any bay?

Thank you for adding the notes page to the character sheet!

Thanks Shwar. I ended up making one without graphics, yours is prettier.

As long as you're reading this, loved your character sheet. Used a recent version. Found the speed field at the head of page 1 was a little scrambled (locked in 30 FT and then a duplicate field you can fill in to the right. Not sure how the "Upgraded Score" and "Upgraded Modifier" are supposed to work. Skills per level needs to handle double digits, doesn't take much for an Operative to get up to 11 ranks per level (Intelligence 12 will do it). If it were up to me, spells would be on a page 3 (which I wouldn't print), since most characters aren't casters. That gives you more room for abilities, feats and equipment. Oh yeah, and the Equipment list Level and Bulk fields seem a bit misaligned on Acrobat Reader on a MacBook (numbers a bit too high and the top is cut off, possibly just a screen problem since I haven't printed yet).

All of that is little stuff though, hasn't stopped me from using the sheets.

This is not mine, but, here is an awesome character sheet, based on an awesome Pathfinder sheet:

I've come to the conclusion that the standard character sheet needs a much bigger equipment section

Thanks to everybody working on these sheets.

Thanks for the heads up Protoman. Version 1.05 has this fixed and is uploaded now. Was literally a 10 second fix.

I've also noticed that Sleight of Hand doesn't show final total score calculated with armor penalty.

No they do not. I have left them fillable but they do not interact with the rest of the sheet at this time. Scripting for that is taking more time than I can currently give the sheet.

That said, I just uploaded a newer version (1.06) with an additional page at the end for copious notes.

Yeah for some reason Foxit does not like my sheets. Hence why I include the disclaimer on them.
It worked fine before 1.04. Interesting.
Which is very stange since nothing in the Dex or AC code was even touched between 1.03 and 1.04. The backpack and encumbrance fields do not even interact with the Dex/AC fields in any way.

It could be that I'm misremembering and used a different, similar-looking sheet (I've downloaded a bunch). Either way, thanks for your effort in making this.

Hi Peter, glad you like the sheet.

The speed has a 'base speed' (the editable field) which is then modified by the armour speed. (it's a compromise to allow user input and auto calc from the armour)

Upgraded score and modifier were in the original paizo release - unfortunately there was no base and total - so they're just fillable for keeping track of upgrades, mods and level up bonuses.

I've updated the skills per level to use auto size..actually..might just make that entire box a bit bigger..

I'll look at realigning the bulk for adobe readers (using foxit reader as a preference atm).

As for the spells, the sheet was just a fillable of the paizo release, and I think it's quite neat and compact.
Though saying this, I'm contemplating making a 'super character sheet', with your suggestion of a spell page and the drone character sheet all in one pdf.. thoughts?

Hey, I like the sheets kicking around, but I intend to use some third-party stuff like frames on starships. Is there a fillable starship sheet without drop-downs? Thanks!

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Shwar, super sheet sounds good. Figured out the movement bits earlier this afternoon while building a soldier wearing heavy armor. Ditto for the skill penalty (put in a negative at first, like the speed, but it wants a positive).

I guess there is a point to tracking both basic score and upgrades. The every 5 level increases need to know the base score (16 and under, or 17 and over). And to make sure you don't have two mark I upgrades. But the two have to be combined and the combined result fed into the skills, initiative, armor class and attack bonuses.

I started using the spell fields as auxiliary equipment slots for armor upgrades, weapon fusions, expendable items, etc.

Haven't actually printed one yet, been playing pregens. Maybe the bulk and tech fields are fine in printouts.

The ship builder sheet I've made is fillable, so you can write in the top whatever you like (the below is the only drop-down/crb part, which you could totally ignore :) ).

Pretty slick sheet you have there. The only thing I see that would cause a problem for only a few people is the movement and speed. There are boons that allow a player to have a character that could have two or more types of movement. Ground and Flying for the haan is one.

Super Character Sheet

The calculation for skills available does not take into account the bonus skill points for a high Int Modifier. Should the user factor in the bonus for INT those into the the skill points total entered under the class area?

That's a great point - what I've done with my character is use the last row of multi-classes to record a few extra things, like the int score (this should not be auto-calculated, as it could change per level/mod etc), and starting health and stamina (Con modifier).

You bring up a good question. If an ability score increases, does it give retroactive bonuses like does in Pathfinder?

Also, as a Society player, could you find room on your sheet for a player to track the factions?

Gary Bush wrote:

Oh well if it is retroactive, then it could totally be generated from level, int and the class multiplier!

Unless the faction tracking is something that requires calculations (I am clueless about it as of now) then I would suggest the massive 'notes' section.

If you design a mockup, I could definitely use these assets and slip the sheet in.

Liberty's Edge

I could add it to the sheet but I might break it. And yes, the notes are is a place that it can go.

Basically need a place to record the faction name, how much reputation has been earned for that faction, the tier level with that faction, a total reputation that the character has, and a total faction tier level.

The tier levels could be calculated but leaving it free form is good too.

The total space need on the sheet is not really much but there are 6 or 7 factions with the possibility to add more. Maybe a total of 10 lines would be a place to settle plus a total line?

Sounds fun!

I'll look into it over the next few days (it will likely be on the notes page, and as a new 'society' version).
Are there any other society extras that could accompany it?

Liberty's Edge

Yea, one can really go over over board for Society play. When a SFS adventure, players will "slot" boons in seven different areas.

But there are others working on that part. For now, keeping it simple is best.

Gary Bush wrote:

Page 26, Levelling Up, Step 1:

Quote:
If an ability score increase results in a change to an ability modifier, don’t forget to adjust any statistics that rely on that modifier, such as attack bonuses, saving throws, total skill bonuses, Resolve Points, Stamina Points, and the DCs of class features and spells. Note that ability score increases are effective retroactively; when your character’s ability score increases, it increases his total number of ability-based statistics—things like Resolve Points, Stamina Points, or skill ranks—as if he had the higher value at previous levels as well.

Thanks Andy!

Gary - mocked up this: Society sheet WIP

Did you mean by 'total faction tier level' that it was a simple addition of all of the (10 ish) tier values?

And thanks Andy! Made it auto use Int and Con mods for skills and stamina now. (looking forward to my soldier getting more retroactive skills!)

Yes, total faction tier level is adding all the reputation for all the factions (a character can have multiple) together. This can be done at the bottom.

The amount of room needed should be about half of what you have now.

If you wanted to calculate the tier level, here are the ranges:
Tier 0 = 0+ reputation (0-4)
Tier 1 = 5+ reputation (5-14)
Tier 2 = 15+ reputation (15-24)
Tier 3 = 25+ reputation (25-44)
Tier 4 = 45+ reputation

But I like it!

Looking at how you are handling the extra skill points, I see you are adding the Int mod to total skill point at the top under the classes.

I suggest adding the points gained from Int to the total available skill points instead.

I see you do the same thing for stamina. That might be confusing adding the ability modifier there.

Yeh that's a great idea. I wasn't happy with how that was panning out recently.

For the adding to skills and stamina, you could take one of the multi-class lines and turn it into a ability modifier line. I am not sure how much people will be multi classing.

The faction section looks good. You could compress the space a little by putting column headers for each column instead of repeating "Faction Name" and "Notes" under each line. This would allow you to add more space back to additional log area. I am thinking like a spreadsheet format if that makes sense.

For some reason, when I put 15 in rep earned it does not show the correct tier.

You are adding Total Faction Tier Level. That should be a calculated value.

Well the 15 was a silly mistake :/ Fixed!

Spreadsheet-like section sorted, notes expanded a little.

Gary Bush wrote:

Not sure what you mean by this - the 'Total Faction Tier Level' is the addition of all of the Tiers, right?

Liberty's Edge

Just calculate the 'Total Faction Tier Level' like the individual faction tier level is calculated. Just use the total rep earned.

Or saying this in a different way, use the same method you use to determine the tier on a single faction.

Liberty's Edge

there may be a problem with HP total.

How are you factoring in the HP that the race provides at first level?

How they handle this is different but makes sense after thinking about it for a while. Since you don't do society play, I don't really want to bore you with details.

The character sheet looks great! Just a few more loose ends to address. I will use this character and I have abandoned my efforts to make one.

I am confused on the Speed section. the user enters the speed in feet and that number is duplicated. Were you looking to do something different here like the number of squares that the speed would equal?

Gary Bush wrote:

The armour penalty is added automatically.

Liberty's Edge

Now some nit picking things!

You could calculate the resolve points as well. It would require adding a check box by each ability to mark the "Key Ability"

For current Stamina Points, Hit Points, and Resolve Points it would be best not to have a default of 0. It will get in the way as the player is likely to have the sheet printed out.

Formatting in the skills area for total changes from skill to skill. Some show "0" others show "-".

In the drone area, for "Mods" and "Feats and Abilities", it would look better printed out of those areas had a boarder. And I know how much of a pain it is to add a boarder!

I can tell you are outside the US because of how you spell "Armour". :)

Again, really liking your character sheet. I know how much effort it is taking!

Nit picks are good!

1. I could, but I'm wondering whether these may become more flexible later (plus the feat Extra Resolve)

2. There is a print friendly sheet I've made here.

3. The 0 means you can use the skill, '-' means it is trained only.

4. Drone area borders updated!

5. Armor corrected (dammit, I had all of the others!)

Awesome!

And for armor, I was not asking for a change as both are correct!

I will now give it a use and offer any more feed back later!

Go check out this link. It is a Pathfinder Character sheet but they use a lot of useful Javascript in it. It could give you some flexibility if you use some of their code.

Great and thorough sheet! Though, Abilities section is pretty small (I've ran out of space for 1st level character), smaller then on the original sheet.

The Armor notes section is missing reset button like all other sections have. Font is also different from others, looks like it's not bold. Also, above that it is spelled "Armour" even if everywhere else on the sheet spells "Armor".

Here is the source code for the VERY good D&D 5e character sheet by MPMB: https://github.com/morepurplemorebetter/MPMBs-Character-Record-Sheet

Lots of good functions in here to manage a character sheet, import data into an updated sheet, generate spellbooks, log sheet generation, auto-calculate a ton of different things, etc. It would of course need to be adapted, but I think that it could be a large help to people working on a new character sheet for Starfinder!

Thanks Devasura,

I've been asked to append yet another notes page, which I'll do for this society sheet too.

Armor spelling will be updated - but the font is something I can't replicate - works as intended for foxit reader and adobe.

Droidicus - I'd love to get importing data to new sheets - I'm going to look into it!

As a free gift of my time to the community, I'm not quite up to doing something to the standard of a paid for product. I expect nothing but kind words in return.

Thank you for sharing this, it is quite excellent. The best thing about this is that it is easily customized. While it is not specifically formatted for printing I can get a decent double-sided sheet by printing with .1" margins.

Shwar,

I think I found something wrong with the skills. Please look at page 133 of CRB. An untrained skill (a skill that does not have skill rank in it) still get the benefit of the ability score modifier. The character sheet does not do this.

Which version of sheet do you have of Shwar's?

And are you looking at trained only skills? They wouldn't get the modifier if untrained because one couldn't use them.
