Hey guys,

Let me start things off on the right foot by being the first to admit I've had a horrible track record here for starting games and then life getting in the way and having to drop out or just going silent after a few weeks/months. I apologize for this really bad habit. I just tend to take on to much at a time and it always bites me in the butt and I burn out quickly. I also lead a rather busy life(working on my masters on top of working 25 hours a week and I'm married so my wife takes up some time as well).

But I am willing to run just one game for 6 players if I can get people who are willing to look past my spotted past on this site and give me a shot. If no one is willing I understand because its very frusterating to get into a game and then have it fizzle out before it gets going.

That being said if I can get people to bite I am looking to run a game here on the forums for about 6 people. If I get more interest then I might consider running for more of you but only one game. I'd maybe go up to 8 players though and thats it.

Here is the list of things I'd be willing to run:
Moonscar
Acadame of Secrets
Rise of the Runelords
Jade Regent
Carrion Crown
Serpents Skull
Dragons Demand
Crypt of the Everflame

Let me know if your interested and what you would like me to run.

I'd be interested.
I've only done a PbP once before, a few years back. That was on a different site, so I'll need a little coaching on the standards here. I'll get to work on a couple of characters, just in case. What method for stat generation?

My top choices are Jade Regent and Dragon's Demand.

I'd be interested in Academy of Secrets as a one-shot.

I have always wanted to try the jade regent adventure path. I would be down for that. Or anything else that gets run really.

I mean, I've been interested in running a divine character for a while now, and Carrion Crown would be a good place to try that out.

I'm willing to accept and get past your spot history just so long as you're willing to accept the fact that I've never played a play by post game so I probably won't be very good at it at first.

As for which module or Adventure Path I really don't mind whichever one we do, I'd be fine with all of them.

I would be interested in playing any on that list except crypt of the everflame, as I just ran through it earlier this year. That being said if you are concerned about the commitment I would suggest one of the shorter modules as opposed to a full Adventure Path.

I'd be interested.
Out of the choices, I'd choose Moonscar, Acadame of Secrets, Carrion Crown, and Crypt of the Everflame.

Dark Archive

I am interested. Would love to play a Druid in any one of them.

I'd be very happy to join up, if you run something I haven't played. Of your choices, that would include, in order of interest:

Serpents Skull
Rise of the Runelords
Jade Regent
Acadame of Secrets
Moonscar

I'm kind of full up on games at the moment but if some of them die, I'd be most interested in...

1) Rise of the Runelords
2) Jade Regent
3) Serpent's Skull

I've never gotten a crack at Serpent's Skull or Jade Regent. I'd give either a go.

my first pick would be jade regent or serpent skull .

never seen either or those

I've been hoping for the return of Mathpro!

I would definitely be up for another game if you'd be willing to work with me again. I really enjoyed your DM'ing before.

Count me in if you'll have me.

Color me interested for Carrion Crown, Runelords, and Jade Regent in that order.

Great to see all the interest in this! And Hey Belathorian very glad to see you returning

I'd be interested, though having GM'd Jade Regent that's probably the one AP I would skip (but I do recommend for others who are looking to try something a little different).

Jade Regent would be of great interest to me. The grand scale of it has always appealed to me. Carrion Crown is also on the bucket list as well.

And just about everyone loves RIse of the Runelords....most recruitments reach well over 40 applicants.

And great work on the Master's studies. My wife is working on her Master's as well at the moment.

I'd love a Jade Regent AP, I've only seen that one recruited for once.

Looks like its Jade Regent and because I believe I have the time to also run a group of Rise of the runelords. Looking for 4-6 players each. Both will be play by post and run here. Let me know where you will be posting. To keep things fair only pick one game.

I think we have enough here to fill both games so I'm also closing this to new posters. Everyone who posted before this post is in and can pick the game they want. Ill get closed recruitment threads up with build specs up soon

Sign me up for Rise. :)

I will play where needed, what needed.

I like both AP's, and have GM'd JR and read through RotRL once years ago for a campaign that fell through.

I will join the jade regent adventure.

jade regent for me, brah

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Tough choice, but I'll go Jade Regent!

Jade Regent for me.

I'll take Jade Regent.

Seems like I'm RotRL then.

Hey Mathpro!

So, if you're interested, your Jade Regent game (which I was a part of) continued...though it seems the GM has bailed. I similarly was gone for a while due to RL illness but I think we'd all be happy if you wished to run the game again

^-- What my brother said!

I'll sign up for Rise of the Runelords. Thanks Mathpro.

Looks like Jade is full, so I'll go Runelords.

I think you should go for a one-shot adventure and then possibly continue from there.

I'd love to submit a character for the RotRL adventure.

For folks in the JR group, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun! Our group quite enjoyed it at the table and I imagine PbP will allow for some good roleplay during certain parts.

Jade Regent sounds like a lot of fun. :)

it is. Sadly, I heard in a podcast (and I can't remember who said it so take this with a grain of salt) it was one of their experimental APs that didn't sell very well. Which is a shame. There are definitely some parts (as in any AP) that need to be tweaked for your players and gaming style, but the scope, the characters, the environments and the monsters...it was all quite memorable and fun. I'll likely read that PbP gameplay just for the nostalgia quality and see how a different group of players handled things.

I'd recommend taking out the caravan system, if nothing else. The relationship system could stand with a couple of tweaks, but I still think it's workable.

It's worked wonders for the one I'm running so far.

The only thing about JR that tweaked me was the caravan rules.

They need a rework in order to be used. Everything else was pretty darn fun.

I always wondered if the relationship rules negatively affected some player's perception of the AP. Some groups I've been with are fine with in-game relationships but some other groups get reallllly uncomfortable with that aspect.

I for one don't care either way and I think I understand where the designers were going with the addition of both the relationship and caravan rules.

Ahh right, that. IDK about other groups, but for ours "For the purposes of this Adventure Path, all NPCs are considered bisexual." became a running joke.

DM Mathpro!

How are you?

Don't worry, it happens to the best of us.

I would be willing to play, and if I may ask:

Moonscar
Rise of the Runelords
Dragons Demand
Crypt of the Everflame

I would be interested in any AP, I have never done a PBP adventure, any experience would be welcome.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

DM Mathpro: Any idea when you plan to move forward on this?

Are you okay with beginning to work out party roles?

Go ahead and I will probably have a post up tomorrow morning

I'll aim to get into the Jade Regent campaign. Are you good with Kitsune characters?

For the RotRL group:
Obviously depending on what materials the GM allows, I'm curious what others are leaning towards playing. I'm pretty flexible and am primarily eager to put my player hat back on (as opposed to always wearing the GM hat for my F2F games). I'm tentatively leaning towards a slayer or bloodrager, but could also do cleric (maybe of Abadar), barb or witch. Race-wise, considering human, half-elf and half-orc (though I'm not sure how well that last will fit with RotRL). But mostly, if other folks have strong preferences, I'm happy to fill whatever gap/role might be needed.

For preference, I'd go Jade Regent, but it looks pretty full, so I'll take what I can get.

I plan to go blaster mage, but no worries, I don't go full blaster.

For Jade Regent, I'll either submit a kitsune fighter/oracle that specializes in TWF and combat maneuvers using trip and disarm or tengu ranger that goes two-weapon/beak with some style feats thrown in for fun.
