So, musings on creating a Soelljammeresque campaign in zero-G...
wherever the air, earth, and water congregate you will find large asymmetrical puffball jungles of vegetation. These 'cotton candy' jungles would be difficult to navigate, yet would allow a safe resting spot for creatures to latch on without drifting off into the sky. I would probably assign a template to any native creatures, call it ZG. Minuses on strength, but possibly a bonus to dex.
I don't feel the need to be totally sciency about the effects of zero G. In reality it's not good on gravity-based creatures. But I would like to have creatures raised in zero G look strange and be perhaps weaker.
There would likely also be some sort of artificial/magical way of creating gravity. That way ships could function more or less normally. Perhaps a gravity charm worn by individuals?
Creatures with levitation and flight would be a great advantage in this realm. I imagine beholders could dominate a large area quite easily, given their maneuverability and magic.

Patrick, if your life right now is working for you, then it's working for you. It can be a bit odd to be happy in a situation you know others would not be happy in, but you dont owe anyone an explanation - not even yourself. Just keep doing you- the person you have been neglecting this whole time.
True enough. I am rebuilding my life to my specifics now, and I am rather pleased with the outcomes. After all, if things had remained 'status quo' I would not be going to NYC. Or DC. Or GenCon. Or even Cape Breton.

I've only been to NYC once in my life, had a blast. You all have fun.
(They have a Lovecraft bar? Seriously?!? Cool.) ;)
OK, that is kind of AWESOME! ;P

Yo Sharoth! Good to see you!
On the T headed into Boston for class. A little early today. I have to go to a meeting of my student veteran group, then study for a quiz.
Tomorrow, I put on my chef hat and make some Chinese food.
I need to get my mapping in order. It's hard to find time, especially when I'm putting out brush fires in my regular life.

What is the legal concept of a promisory estoppel?
- A promise you make to someone knowing they will rely on it
- They do rely on it, and you fail to honor your promise
- This failure leads to substantial harm
One of the few times that a promise without consideration can be enforced in a court of law

I'd rather chat on gaming.
Anyone have a good gaming story? I recently had an interesting one while test-driving a fighter build in 5e. The fighter is pretty dope in 5e.
My character, a pseudo-Viking named Pereg was equipped with a greatsword. I and several other characters were being swarmed by zombies. While the wizard and the rogue were busy trying their best to become zombie chow, Pereg was rolling crits left and right and ended up taking out pretty much the entire encounter on his own. Score one for basic character creation!
