Yeah, I feel your pain. I just did a 4pm-8am shift sun-mon. Then back in eight for a 4-12 pm mon. My shifts are never on any schedule so I sleep whenever. Melatonin helps

Gah. Inside out pajamas!

I'm glad my commute is like 12 minutes. Every second counts when you are trying to get some shuteye

I refused to even try and watch that show, since everything I'd heard about it said it took a comic series I adored, bent it over a table, and violated it six ways to Sunday.

I'm also glad the four Dirty Monkey Businesses I downed last night seem to have left me headache free.

Yeah I enjoyed the comic. This show isn't even remotely like it. I don't even consider it the same except for the names of a few supporting characters.

I do find it watchable, but the buddy cop premise with a supernatural twist isn't really holding my interest. Plus the literally obtuse way that Lucifer's cop partner/antagonist demands to know who he is and he TELLS her, she doesn't believe it, but he does something else superhuman and she asks YET AGAIN who or what he is, he tells her AGAIN, and she still won't listen.

I get it, it's a hard pill to swallow , but he's shown enough unexplainable things to maybe prove his claims? Idk, it bugs me.

Ugh. Urge to get out of bed fading. I need a caffeine pill

will you be returning in time for absinthe and company?
I need to look into a cheap hotel near the Lovecraft bar. I know, NYC and cheap aren't synonymous, but any suggestions?
I'll look around. It might be fun to get hammered and pass out on someone else's floor for a change!
Everyone coming out to the bar is welcome to crash at the hotel. That way everyone is safe. We'll get some extra blankets and rough it

maybe I'll run into that cute girl again...

I don't know why but I have a gift for taking standardized tests. I walked into my SATs no prepared, not really giving two sh*ts (I really wish I could back in time and kick my own Azz sometimes) . I still walked off with a 1340 (700 verbal/640 math)

that's strange. I thought the show and the comic weren't related.

Also, isn't the comic dated by now?

I just read it this past year. I couldn't even tell you when it first came out. It didn't feel dated to me

I was in one of the first (if not *the*) batches of kids to take the new & improved 2400-point SAT with added writing section. If I remember correctly, I got a 2250, maybe?

I was home schooled and I didn't take my SATs, I generally don't do that well on tests, except driving tests.

*yawn*

Another glorious day. I need to get moving and get in some exercise before I head to class tonight.

Exercising in your late forties is like rolling a big rock uphill. While raining. And the Rock is covered in spikes. Coated with poison ivy oil.

Take a tip from me, young padawans: work some cardio and strength training into your weekly regimen. Think of it as a tune up for your soma. It gets harder the older you get. Start young, keep up with it. The long-term bennies are worth it. Plus, you get free all-natural dopamine and the mental satisfaction of a job well done.

800 math! Wowsers, perfect score. Nice!

I'm rather sore from lifting yesterday. I've switched back to a high-rep finishing set, and doing 100 reps on the final set is a killer, even if the weight is small.

I'm slowly getting back into shape. Slowly.

The pups need a good stroll through the forest today. I need to get the elliptical going as well. I made the mistake of putting it off yesterday until after my lifting session. I got 10 minutes into my usual hour and I was like 'no mas!'

It's a process. A slow painful one. I took nine years off during the first part of my marriage. Then I went back and struggled for three years before starting to see some gains.

I'm just grateful for muscle memory

Well, hour on the elliptical complete. Now 'Tis time for a dog walk
