A'streth |
I dotted in :-)
Thanks for the selection GM.
Valiana Snarltusk |
Hello!
Thanks for choosing me, too. I was wondering whether the disciplined half-orc monk that is only one of those three things isn't too much of an oddball to get accepted.
As we have an actual captain with an actual ship, that might prompt me to change my alias name. I still have some time to change it.
I'm looking forward to being part of a morally dubious campaign!
A'streth |
No one keepssss A'ssstreth in line!!!
A'streth |
EDIT: I want to change it to Destined Bloodline which fits in with the character goal a bit better and considering the whole coven thing is a non-starter as well...
Aramondis Ja'kyorai |
Hey everyone! Excited to get to some villainy on the high very low seas!
Aramondis is pretty laid back about the situation on his ship. He spent plenty of time being not captain, and he respects those who have been. His first mate Tormhul has the title due to his loyalty to Aramondis, but doesn't particularly care for the title. His primary concern is to care for the ship first and keep people in line second, so there's plenty of room for a second-in-command to free him to focus on what he enjoys.
Front some money for ship improvements along the way and Aramondis will probably be open to being full partners in the ship.
Korva Mappo |
Thanks for the selection looking forward to getting involved in some underground adventures.
The Faceless GM |
Apologies for taking so long to get to your sheets so we can get started. I had a busy end of the week last week. I'll do them one at a time, but hopefully they should all be done today.
Aramondis:
- You left Hero Points listed under your Special Qualities, though I think it's just a typo from what I assume is reusing an alias.
- I'm going to need a stat block for your cohort.
The Faceless GM |
Also, before I forget. Can everyone please list their skills ranks on their characters sheet. It makes it much less of a hassle to do this when I don't have to try to reverse engineer your entire skill set-up.
Korva:
- Why choose Infernal over Abyssal? Drow based tieflings are nearly universally demon-blooded.
Miriel of House Misraria |
I added my skill ranks to my character sheet. No problem on the delay :)
Miriel of House Misraria |
Oh! Since Miri has craft: poison and auto-succeeds on the check to make drow poison, can I have 2 for the price of 1? :O
Aramondis Ja'kyorai |
Faceless GM: Sorry, keep forgetting when I make new characters to disable the hero points in herolab. I've added skill ranks and cleaned up some stuff.
I've added statblocks for Tormhul and his elementals. I still need to go back and add their skill points and break them out into at least a separate profile for Tormhul and his pets, but I'm out of time for the moment.
Valiana Snarltusk |
Noooo, my jewelry!
Noted. I'll have to go for gold, then, I guess, instead of more exotic metals.
I'll add the ranks at some point tomorrow, when I get a chance.
Storyteller Shadow |
A'streth:
- You forgot to re-adjust you ABP after I changed things up. You're still calculated to have Level+2 rather than on level.
- I can't see where you got one of your feats. You should have 4 from levels (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th), plus one Ranger bonus feat.
Will recalculate the ABP at home.
Extra feat was the Rogue Talent, I took Combat Trick which gives Bonus Combat Feat.
Valiana Snarltusk |
Skill ranks done, and I've cleaned up some things. I did noticed that a couple of my skills were too high or too low, then I remember I was working off of the old Scaled Fist idea. That's been fixed, and skills should be good to go.
Removed the excess money, and I think the good morally gray captain is good to go.
A'streth |
OK, walked back the ABP from the earlier version of A'streth. He is now ready to go.
Korva Mappo |
Honestly I just wasn't paying close enough attention when I selected Infernal. I was sorting by what he could learn and Abyssal and Infernal are the only two Planar, I just clicked and didn't think about it further. I did go ahead and change it. There would be no in-character reason he'd know Infernal instead of Abyssal. Also did a breakdown of my skills.
Aramondis Ja'kyorai |
Super busy today until this evening. I'll post then since I want to have time to make a decent opening post. :o
Miriel of House Misraria |
Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know that Aramondis and I are going on vacation starting tomorrow. We aren't bringing computers, so we won't be able to really post until next Tuesday evening.
So Faceless GM please bot Miriel until then. Here is some guidance for running her until I return.
When Miriel is about to head into somewhere obviously dangerous (either an urban environment that she knows houses ruffians or people with ill intentions, or whenever she leaves the safety of Telderist for the tunnels or sea) she casts Mage Armor on herself.
If she has the opportunity to cast buffs prior to combat, she will cast False Life on herself. (in the future she'll use it one of the melee people, but she doesn't know anyone well enough yet to care for your well-being :p)
I know that botting spellcasters is difficult for GMs because we're so resource intensive, so if you get into combat please focus her on using sleep hex (on people who don't look like drow or other elves please :P) on any muscle-head types who are probably gonna have poor will saves, followed by spamming evil eye a bunch (targeting saves, then attack rolls, then AC in that order) first on martial-types or enemies ID'd to have bad will saves. Miriel uses the flight hex to try and keep distance between herself and her foes.
However please don't hesitate to have her use her utility spells (fly, dispel magic) if the party has need of them. She also has a wand of CLW. Miriel can be a selfish b$@#%, but she needs her martials alive to absorb hits for her, so she will readily heal people as needed.
Have a good week, everyone :)
Miriel of House Misraria |
A'streth, I believe you made that Perception/Survival check earlier. You are listed as someone allowed to see the spoilers.
Anyways, I probably won't be able to post again until tomorrow :) Don't wait on me!
The Faceless GM |
Hey guys.
I'm making a quick post in all of my games to tell people that I'm going on vacation early tomorrow morning and will be away for a week. I should still have internet access and will try to post in the evenings or if I have free time, but if I post more slowly than usual or seem to miss a day or something, it's just because I'm away and probably busy.
Valiana Snarltusk |
Hey, guys! I'm just letting you know I'm going on a holiday for the next couple of weeks. I probably won't be able to post a lot over the first one, but I'll try and keep up, although I might be a bit briefer than usual.
Absolutely do bot me if need be, I'd hate to slow the game down.
Cheers!
Miriel of House Misraria |
Hey Nimue,
Just so you know, casting SLAs does provoke an AoO, but because per the FAQ Vision of Madness only has a DC of 16, and you have a concentration check of +15, you auto-succeed at it.
Cleric domains, sorcerer bloodlines, wizard schools, and certain other class features give spell-like abilities that aren't based on spells. What's the effective spell level for these abilities?
The effective spell level for these spell-like abilities is equal to the highest-level spell that a character of that class could normally cast at the level the ability is gained.
For example, a 1st-level elemental bloodline sorcerer has elemental ray as a spell-like ability. Because a sorcerer 1's highest-level spell available is 1st, that spell-like ability counts as a 1st-level spell. A 9th-level elemental bloodline sorcerer has elemental blast as a spell-like ability. Because a sorcerer 9's highest-level spell available is 4th, that spell-like ability counts as a 4th-level spell.
Aramondis Ja'kyorai |
Yup!
Valiana Snarltusk |
Hey guys.
My work's been pretty heavy on the load for the last, well, half a year. Time won't permit me to put the time into Valiana's posts that I believe the game (and the character) deserves. So, thank you for the opportunity to explore the Dying Sea, even if it was for a short while, and I wish you all the best!
